A new series that I highly recommend
This is a new serial. Short episodes. And I loved it! Seleska rescues a baby dragon, but gets in a lot of trouble! This story is a few years after the short story ‘Worth A Dragon’ in which Seleska gets saved by a dragon. I loved Seleska, and I loved her dragon Nasataa.
I listened to the audio version. I had to get used to the voice of the narrator, but I always experience this at the start of an audio book; English is not my first language. But her voice was pleasant and the story amazing. Soon the story had me captivated, so the voice served the story. Just over two hours, so a quick read (‘listen’).
This author has the gift of really taking you on a journey, on an adventure, making the world disappear. Can’t wait for more!
Such a cute story. Seleska was rescued by a gold dragon when she was little and raised on a remote island. She discovers a baby blue dragon and decides to protect it, but blue dragons are particularly feared by the islanders, so she has to keep it hidden. Worse, a ship has come to kidnap Seleska. Why are they after her? And what will she do with her dragon?
This was a well-written, fast paced entry into Sarah Wilson’s world of dragons. Seleska and her friend Heron were interesting and entertaining as was the baby dragon. I look forward to seeing where their adventures take them.
I received a free copy of the audiobook from the author and have reviewed it willingly.
Dragonlet by Sarah K.L. Wilson is the 1st in the Dragon Tide series.
This was a great beginning and really enjoyed the storyline and world. The main character, Seleska is well written and I am looking forward to following along to more of her story
Great start! An interesting beginning with lots of action. Great characters in a well developed world. I look forward to reading more of the story.
Seleska, Heron and Nasataa save the day
This was a great book by a wonderful author. It has a lot of excitement. It starts with Seleska turning 16 and talking about how she hates surprises. The next few days are full of them. The characters are amazing. The storyline flows nicely. It was a story that was so interesting that you could not put the book down. I can’t wait to see what happens next to Seleska, Heron, and Nasataa. They all care about their community and are determined to make sure everyone is safe. They view saving their friends and families as an adventure.
this is a great start to this series! Fast paced you will be hooked from the start, has a great storyline and best of all a baby dragon! Can’t wait to read more!
When Seleska finds a Dragon egg she is delighted when a baby blue Dragon hatches. Natastaa is so so cute. However this baby Dragon will change her life, put her in danger and make her grow up .. fast. A trip to the market results in her fighting for her life and that of her Dragon. This book is very short and the first in a new series from a talented author. However with a new book every eighteen days this is a very expensive series. Once you have read the first one you will want to know what happens next. A good start but lacking something compared to her other series.
Dragon Tide: Dragonlet is the first book in Sarah K.L. Wilson’s new series. The author introduces readers to a new character by the name of Seleska. Blue dragons are feared on her small island, and because of this, no one goes out in the ocean in boats. Songs tell of the dragons who destroyed the boats and lured sailors into the depths with their alluring songs. But when Seleska discovers a baby blue dragon on the beach all alone, little does she know that her life is about to change in dynamic ways.
Dragon Tide: Dragonlet is a fast-paced story that keeps you page-turning as Seleska finds her world-changing right before her eyes. It starts with an innocent baby dragon. She knows the danger posed to him by the village should they discover him. I absolutely adore how she takes to him and quickly their bond is established. I didn’t think that it would happen so fast. I appreciate the fact that she doesn’t let the fears of the village concerning blue dragons taint how she feels about the one she finds. The author wraps quite a few surprises into this book and I love it.
There isn’t anything that I don’t like about this book. I briefly get annoyed with a couple of characters, but it doesn’t detract from my enjoyment of this book. The story moves at a good pace and kept me engaged from beginning to end.
Seeing as I am familiar with Sarah K.L. Wilson’s books/series I am used to the length and know that I won’t have to wait long for the next book in the series/serial. So I can say with ease that I am eagerly anticipating the continuation of this story and Seleska’s adventures. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you enjoy books by this author and dragons then you won’t want to miss out on reading this engaging story.
A young girl on her sixteenth birthday finds a baby dragon. Good clean fun story. The young girl is strong and independent, always tries to do what’s right. I will definitely be recommending this book for my grandchildren
This is a wonderful story. Here and her Baby Dragon she found Natataa the Dragons name. She is trying to keep her family safe, can she accomplish this. A wonderful story that captivated me from the first page to the last. I definitely recommend this magical heart pounding read.

An amazing start for a new series, an adopted child uncovers portions of her mysterious roots and forms a bond with a creature feared by her village. This captured my attention quickly and it was great immersing myself into Seleska’s adventure. The elements of danger keeps you guessing but this tale is still subtle enough for young readers. Definitely have to keep this new series in mind for my grandchildren! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
Dragon Tide is a brand new series by USA Today bestselling author Sarah K.L Wilson. I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC. This story starts out in a friendly tone as it’s first person narration by the orphan princess Seleska. She wants adventure, but she gets way more than she bargained for. It’s fun with a hint of romance. I actually squealed out loud at the ending and can’t wait for more!
What a fantastic start to a new series. We are returning to the world of dragons here with this story. I am already loving the new set of characters that was introduced to us here. A lost princess, her best friend, and a plucky baby blue dragon. Seleska’s is being hunted for something she didn’t even know she could do. In a world where the magic is dwindling some people will go to extremes to get their hands on what’s left. She may be safe for now, but what will happen next to her, Heron, and Nasataa. I can’t wait to find out! I would highly recommend this book
“Adventurers [don’t] stop just because things [are] …scary. That’s what [makes] it an adventure!”
I loved this new book! Yes, it is the 1st of a new series, but it also has tie-ins with the previous series “Dragon Chamelon”, and is a sequel to the heart-breakingly sweet story “Worth a Dragon”. In ‘Worth’, we saw a self-sacrificing dragon fly an orphaned little girl, Seleska, to a island to protect her from those who had murdered her parents. In this book, the opening scene is of Seleska on her 16th birthday, with a “surprise” party being prepared for her. Before returning from the beach, she finds a new hatchling, a blue dragon, something the people on her island fear. How will she care for it, yet keep it a secret?
Once again Ms. Wilson has created a wonderful coming-of-age story with elements that appeal to all ages: the budding of young love; a desire for adventure; the finding that you are more than you thought when faced with the challenges of life; the good in the world vs evil that is also present; and, of course, dragons!

I received a free copy of this book. My review is voluntary. I have no financial relationship with either the author or the publisher.
Seleska is celebrating her 16th birthday and she finds a baby blue dragon. She isn’t happy to learn her friend will be leaving their village soon. Things go kind of crazy once she and her father visit Abergrande and they find there is a ship visiting. She and the dragon, Nasataa are on the run, and she is determined to keep him safe, as well as her village.
Seleska seems like a good kid, I can’t wait to see what happens next.
