OMG what an ending! I never saw this coming. I don’t want to spoil anything, but this is a total must read!! I just love the way everything wrapped up!
Dragon Tide: Chosen One is the final book in Sarah K.L. Wilson’s Dragon Tide series that follows the adventures and fight of Seleska, Nasataa, and those who have aided them along the way. Then of the fight is coming…one way or another. Either Seleska will be successful in getting Nasataa to where it is that he needs to be or the Draven will destroy everything that she has ever loved.
Dragon Tide: Chosen One is full of danger and thrills as you read along to see what will happen next with Seleska. Danger is literally at every turn now and piece by piece the world is being ripped apart as the Draven seeks to consume all. This book picks up where the last book left off, and the tension immediately slams back into you. Failure is not an option, but with danger literally looming all around them their chances are slim. Prophecies must be fulfilled, and sacrifices must be made for the greater good.
This book literally had me on the edge of my seat and it is written so well. We so often want the heroes to have a smooth path to victory, but I have to admit that I like it when things do go like we want. I kept page-turning to learn what was going to happen next, and for the most part, I was not disappointed. There are some surprising moments, and there are a couple of moments that literally had me choking up and crying.
My only complaint about this book would be the ending. I feel like there are some ends that are left floating about and I don’t get the satisfactory ending that I was looking for. For me, there are questions that are left unanswered, and pieces of the puzzle are still missing that would have made the final picture/ending truly satisfying.
Overall, the author did a really good job with this story and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future. I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. If you have read the series to this point…then you might as well read it to the end. I’m sure that you’ll enjoy it. So dive in.
I have to admit that I’m the slightest bit mad at Sarah K. L. Wilson. You see, I’ve totally adored her Dragon Tide serial and now, in its tenth installment, Chosen One, it comes to an end. What am I going to do without my regular “fix” of the wonderful Seleska & Co.? Of well, at ”least” it was the perfect ending to the overarching story and a superbly told tale in itself. Ok, I admit I’m being a bit greedy here, but still! *Sigh*. Ok guess I’m going to have to highly recommend this last episode – and the whole serial (!) – and leave it at that.
The is the last book of the series, where everything comes together. Can Seleska get Nasataa to the Haroc before Atura gets there with the baby manticore – especially when her own memories are disappearing and the memories that she seems to have are not her own? The world depends on her succeeding.
