Fantastic continuation of this supernatural series by Kellie McAllen.
Scarlett’s brother is taken from her at a young age. She knows what she saw. He turned into a dragon but of course no one believes her.
After years of looking for him the unimaginable happens. She comes across another dragon and she finds herself falling for him. He agrees to help her find her brother.
There is a refuge for supernatural creatures that carries over from the first book so I recommend reading these in order.
I don’t want to give away too much but you definitely want to read this series.
Love, action, fear, sadness and so much more. A fantastic world of supernatural creatures that you can’t get enough of.
Kellie McAllen’s Dragon Scarred (Supernatural Sanctuary, Book 2) is a perfect dragon shifter romance, and Scarlett and Helios are the perfect leads. That’s really all you need to know. Oh, you want more, well you can get a perfectly good (non-spoiler) description from the publisher’s blurb. It just misses noting how wonderfully strong the writing is, how superb the plot and world-building are, and how perfectly crafted the characters are. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
Awesome read, well written with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. Loving this series and can’t wait to read the next book.
Dragon Scarred is the second book in the Supernatural Sanctuary series and we get to read about Scarlett. She saw her brother Rusty turn into a dragon right in front of her when she was a little girl, and ever since then, her brother was nowhere to be seen. Nobody believed her though, when she said her brother is a dragon. Scarlett never gave up though, and now that she’s older, she’s still continuing her search.
One day, Scarlett found the dragon Helios. Instead of being scarred or repulsed by it, she was mesmerised by Helios. Helios was hurt that day, and ever since, Scarlett was obsessed. It was interesting to be able to see some of the characters from the previous book integrated into the story here.
We get a HEA in the end, but there was a little cliffhanger and we know there will be more to come in the next book.
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
This is Dragon Scarred, book 2 of the Supernatural Sanctuary written by Kellie McAllen. I’m enjoying this little series. The highs and lows will pull you in and have you cheering on the poor put upon Scarlett as she cares for herself and her Mom while always searching for her long lost brother. Who has seen a dragon shifter and spent their last several years on the hunt for one? Her, that’s who. Will she be successful? Will she ever find a place that accepts and embraces her or will she always be the misfit outcast? I wonder…??
Dragon Scarred is a fantasy ya book.
Dragon Shifters is the main character and her younger brother. There also high school friendship and high schooler young love.
Even if you’re not a fantasy or dragon shifter lover you will love! I did
I was given an arc and I am leaving my honest review
Really love to read more in the supernatural sanctuary serie. Love Scarlett and Helios. Can’t wait to read more in this serie.
I devoured Dragon Scarred. Maybe it’s because I really love dragons but this book is my favorite so far in this series. I really liked Scarlett. She’s an awesome character. She’s compassionate, resilient, courageous and determined. After the loss of her brother things fell apart in Scarlett’s life. She was ridiculed, outcasted by her peers and made to take on a role well beyond her years.
Scarlett doesn’t falter though. She holds tight to her belief and continues her search even when things seem dangerous.
I loved going on this adventure with Scarlett and can’t wait to find out what the next book holds in store for her.
ONE SPELLBINDING ADVENTURE!!!
All the twists and turns, ups and downs, keep you captivated and riveted on a razors edge propelling this jewel to life spectacularly. A raging tempest of obscured circumstances and surprising mishaps keep you flipping page after page. One remarkable storyline and irresistible plot thrust this baby together beautifully. The characters are affable, genuine and realistic with on point personalities that blends smoothly. The scenes are so graphically descriptive you have no trouble picturing each scenario in every color on the spectrum. Remarkable job Kellie, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
What a great addition to the series. This was a very interesting and heartfelt read. Definitely take you on a amazing adventure filled with plenty of twists and turns, intrigue, and suspense to keep you hook from beginning to end. This book could be read as a standalone but I would recommend that you check out the first book in the series as well. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Simply wondrous! A great addition to this new paranormal romance series. This book could also be read as a stand alone as well but I recommend starting with the first book.
I enjoyed Helios and Scarlett! They were perfect for each other each learning from the other and growing in their relationship with each other. I loved seeing the previous characters as well!
This was very interesting and heartwarming story. Scarlett did already face a lot in her life. She have so much compassion and love to give. When she find Helios she thought that all problems are finally gone, but she can’t be more wrong. Troubles keep coming, deadly situations keep coming and so does betrayal. I read this book in one sitting, and am honestly impatient to read next part.
Awesome second book in the Sanctuary Series. Scarlett searches for her brother Rusty who turned into a dragon to protect her but never returned home. This book had some definite ups and downs. Scarlett’s home life to school life was a bit of a drag and a best friend that was in love with her. Then she finds a dragon! And we get to revisit some of our bristlely characters from the Sanctuary. But the ending ugh!
What a great Dragon story! Helios is a beautiful Dragon in his own right and he’s been discovered and basically flying for his life getting away from those that are shooting at him…..he’s so tired he lands in a what looks to be a safe place but the shifter wolves have found him and are able take him too the hidden supernatural sanctuary.
Scarlett has always known that dragons and other entenites exist, and she saw this first hand when her brother and her was on an adventure in the woods. Scarlett’s brother Rusty saw that Scarlett was in danger and it triggered the dragon in Rusty unbeknownst to him! Rusty disappeared for years and the family that they had fell apart, divorce and depression overtook the family.
Scarlett never gave up looking for her brother with her one school friend that didn’t think she was nutty crazy!
Shifters, Magic and more discovery awaits as the story continues with this Dragon Scarred Book!!
Good story. I liked the characters and dialogue. I look forward to more books from this author

This was a great story with great characters. I really enjoyed reading this book. This book has good adventure, twists and suspense. This was a great read.
I received a ARC copy of this book and I am volunteering to do an honest.
If you’ve been following series this story takes of in a new direction and introdues Scarlett who is still looking for her brother and meeting a new creature.
Keeping secrets is the biggest part of the shifter community and it gets hotter than more people that know that they exist it puts them at risk.
It has been 13 years since he disappeared when she was five years old and when she told people what she saw no one believed.
Another character is also added and his name is Helios and he is a dragon shifter.
There are surprises waiting in store for the reader if this book and we can’t return characters of Andros, Aras, Mara and the crew from the castle. Forget to read about Lucas and Luna the original wolf shifters that started the series.
Voluntarily read and reviewed this book as I’m enjoying this new series without any obligation to the author
Dragon Scarred by Kellie McAllen a five-star read that will give you wings to fly. This is the second novel in the Supernatural Sanctuary series, I have read them both and would definitely recommend reading them both as they are amazing, but you could read them as stand-alone as although some secondary characters do cross over its not the end of the story, but I do believe that number three will bring everything together and I cant wait for that one. Scarlett is awesome, she really is so strong and unforgettable, she has a strength that will keep her going through the darkest of days and that brings the story along with it and gives it major legs. Just like Scarlett you will become obsessed by the things she sees on the pages of her books, that become the things in this book. Kellie McAllen writes a great supernatural story and really brings creatures to life, giving them more heart and soul that you can imagine, she also shows us that they are not necessarily the ones to be scared of.
This is the second book in the series. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend that you read the books in order to get the whole feel/comprehension. We meet Scarlett who saw her brother turn into a dragon, watched him fly away, and she has been looking for him for years. In her search, she meets a living dragon who is also a shifter. We follow their adventures as they work together to find her brother. As the search continues, Scarlett learns more about her family and all of the possibilities that are there if she only takes a chance. The story was well-written and kept me captivated. I look forward to finding out what happens next. I received an arc from Ms. McAllen, and this was my honest review.
