Read all three books and all were fantastic!!
Loved the characters and how she developed the plot. Once I started, could not put it down.
Love box sets for easy rereading of a series. Good reads but not keen on heroine in book two.
Read through KU.
1 – DAZZLED
This was a good flowing story. Just enough going on to make it interesting without being overpowering.
Lacey was a well-rounded, intelligent career woman and Sebastian was the usual billionaire going through women like socks due to being burnt in the past.
I just wish we had heard a bit more about what exactly the ex-girlfriend had done and why his dragon had mistakenly thought she was his mate. A little bit of explanation would have been good.
Some excitement was thrown in and it was lovely to see some good sense being shown by the heroine in taking her time to think things through, not just accept his bad behaviour. This was a nice change from some of the books I have read lately where the heroine forgives without even an apology.
Hope book 2 is about Ash.
2 – THRILLED
Great interesting story but not my favourite heroine in the end which was a pity.
I really liked this book and I liked Gabriela at first, but then as the story progressed, I realised Gabriela’s grandmother would never want Gabi to sell out her honour for her failing health, as was proven later in the book.
I have to say I have no sympathy for Gabriel and really didn’t care about her reasons for selling everyone out, dishonesty is wrong no matter what. Her grandmother may have been extremely special but what Gabi did was wrong on so many fronts. Saying she had no choice is a lie, Gabi just made the wrong choice.
I didn’t care that Gabi realised she had been used, she was still willing to sell out all her friends, her job and her career.
Yes, everyone deserves a second chance but as I write this, I cannot feel it in me to give her one. Gabi suffers no consequences in the long term, she is offered a job at the Bernal Centre at a world class museum and research centre with no loss of face.
Not enough apologising from Gabi happened. She let down a whole team of people and never had to face them.
I am so sorry to say I didn’t care what happened to her at all, which is very unusual for me.
I was also not impressed with Kai absolving Gabi just because he realised she was his mate.
Then Kai apologised to her. Why???, she was the liar and dishonest and he was correct in feeling wronged.
Apart from my dislike of Gabi’s character I enjoyed the story and just wish she had been a better heroine for Kai. I really wish she had redeemed herself in some way to me.
A real pity as the heroine in book 1 was fantastic and Gabi’s best friend.
It was a great story otherwise and a very entertaining read. I loved the Santa Maria angle tied in with the Dragons hoard. Exciting.
Hope Kai’s brother Eli gets his story.
3 – BURNED
Once again a great addition to this series, my favourite so far.
I really enjoyed getting Ash’s story and thoroughly loved his interaction with Teagan right from their first meeting.
We sort of met Ash in book 1 and I hated what happened to him. He has endured so much and is a strong and believable hero.
Teagan was such a funny and interesting heroine with some quirks that one can understand and relate too.
Great having more action at the Bernal centre, nice to have Sebastian interact in this book and loved the other characters Eamon and Nick.
My only gripe was the heroine once again not staying somewhere safe but once getting to the end I realised it had to happen the way it did.
