Duncan Mackay will do anything to lift the curse from his family — even forfeit his own life. But his plans change when he encounters the woman from his dreams, literally. She is from the future, somehow has his lost sword, and can talk to the Dragon that is able to lift his family’s curse.
Brigid O’Neill has spent her life listening to the mythological legends from Ireland and Scotland. So, … Scotland. So, when an ancient sword lands at her doorstep and she starts dreaming of a rugged Highlander, she drops everything and takes on a quest that will alter everything she believes.
Before their journey ends, not only will Duncan and Brigid battle an ancient curse, they must also find the courage to believe in the destiny that brought them together.

Fantasy At It’s Best!
This is the first book I have purchased from this author and let me tell you that she spins a story to thrill anyone who appreciates a good fantasy. Not far into the book I could already feel a connection to both Duncan and Brigid. I really enjoyed their story and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates stories about time travel, the paranormal and fantasy. I am so glad that this is just the beginning of the Dragon Knights and their story as I am not ready to let them go! I look forward to book 2 in the series.
I truly enjoyed this story verra much. I love highlander romance. This is well written and has elements of history that will keep you peaked. Stubborn men and the women they love. Can there be forgiveness in the hearts of these poor souls, or will they forever feel shunned?
This is the first of her books about Order of the Dragon. I was not disappointed. I loved the women who are just as strong as the men. They are standalone stories but I truly suggest starting from the beginning. It will be enlightening to the rest.
This was my first book by the author and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. Looking forward to more books by this author and loved the narration.
Loved. Loved. Loved this book. Loved the entire series. I rarely read more than one book in a series but I read every one of these. I even bought them all. I finished this series several years ago and I still remember these. Take the time to read all of these. You won’t be disappointed.
I’m usually not drawn to Highlander tales, but I loved this time travel story. The hero, Duncan MacKay, swept me off my feet from the first page. The heroine, Brigid Moira O’Neill, kept me enthralled and entertained with her snappy tongue and personality. The masterful descriptions spun up a fairy tale world I longed to visit. If you like romance and magic, this is the book for you. Highly recommended.
Dragon Knight’s Sword, the 1st book in the Order of the Dragon Knights series was epic. Anyone who read my review of Dragon Knight’s Ring which was the 5th book in the series knows that I loved that one so much I went on over to Amazon and bought all the other books. And I’m so glad I did. I am so glad I took a chance and got Dragon Knight’s Ring from Netgalley. I never heard of Mary Morgan before and I would have totally missed out on this awesome series that I am enjoying so much!
Duncan Mackay was hurting so bad. His soul was tortured over the sin that brought him and his clan dishonor. His pain was eating away at his soul and all he wanted was death and to bring the honor back to his brothers. Duncan was so damaged. I wanted so much to hold him and heal him. His pain felt so raw and real. Brigid was an old soul. She never felt like she belonged until she went back in time to the 13th century. All her family was gone and she had no one until Duncan. Brigid was sassy, brave, and she loved with all her heart. She was all in when she cared for you she didn’t hold back. I loved that Brigid didn’t play games she was an open book and told you how she felt.
Duncan and Brigid had a bit of a push/pull relationship. Duncan felt that he didn’t deserve Brigid plus he knew she wasn’t from his time and he was scared she would go back to her time and leave him. But they couldn’t fight that burning passion for long. They had major heat. I loved how Brigid softened Duncan and showed him that he was worthy of love. I enjoyed Duncan and Brigid’s story so much. I loved the whole time travel/ highlander/fae plot. I liked getting to know Cormac Murray and can’t wait to read his story. I really liked Nell and Finn and loved how their problem worked out. I was a little sad about something that happened to Brigid and wanted that to be fixed. I loved everything about this book and I can’t wait to start book 2!
