“Robin Hobb is one of our very best fantasy writers.”New York Times bestselling author Kevin J. Anderson
With Dragon Keeper, Robin Hobb, critically acclaimed, New York Times bestselling “master fantasist” (Baltimore Sun), begins a breathtaking new series about the resurgence of dragons in a world that both needs and fears them—the world Hobb’s readers most recently visited in her immensely … readers most recently visited in her immensely popular “Tawny Man” trilogy. Volume One of the Rain Wilds Chronicles, Dragon Keeper is yet another magnificent adventure from the author of The Soldier Son and Farseer Trilogies, confirming the Contra Costa Times of California’s assessment of Hobb as “one of the most important writers in 21st century fantasy.”

I like Robin Hobbs books
The beginning of one of the best trilogies I have ever read. You will not want to put this series down. I keep hoping the author will continue this series it could go so much farther to continue developing the characters.
Great writing, characterization, and world building, as is usuall for Hobb
Being an English and literature teacher, I find it a challenge to read some books because of structure, word usage, punctuation, etc. Robin Hobb is, first, an excellent WRITER: she uses the language extremely well and I was able to sink into the world she built (which is amazingly well-done and creative) without being pulled out of the world periodically by poor usage of various sorts. Her characters are well-realized and believable; the ends of those characters deserving of vengeance are satisfying but so well constructed as to keep me on the edge as I kept turning the page to see what would happen. I had no idea when I bought this set that I was getting into 220,000 or so words; I’m not sure that I would have bought the set if I’d known that ahead of time, and that would have been a pity. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and still find myself wanting to finish reading it…but I AM finished, as of last night. My mental eye still sees the characters, both human and dragon, and would still be reading if there were 500 MORE pages.
As usual Hobb has us enthralled with another great series continuing on from the Farseers & Liveship traders
I’ve enjoyed this whole series. I hope she writes more in this world.
Loved this series.about the Rainwild Chronicles. Robin Hobb is an interesting author who takes fantasy to the next level. I have been a fan since I first picked up the book “Assassin’s Apprentice “ many years ago. Great read !
I think I’ve enjoyed all the books and series by this author. Very easy to read and forget to go to sleep at a reasonable time… The characters and world are well developed and believable.
Love a new dragon book, it’s very interesting
I couldn’t put it down!
Enjoyed reading this book from the start all the way to the end. A very good storyline and a great sequel to the first book in the series. Looking forward to the rest of series. I recommend this book.
So good I bought the series
This is the 1st volume of the Rain Wilds Chronicles and was a great read and introduction to the series. It was also my introduction to Robin Hobb who writes entertaining and original stories. She is one of my favorite authors and I recently finished her Liveship Traders Triology.
I have really enjoyed the books by Robin Hobb. She does a great job intertwining the different books in a series and then that series with different series.
Very slow!
