Dragons. A warrior princess. An immortal king and a prophecy set by gods. This paranormal fantasy romance sends you to a magical adventure of passion and love…War loomed over the Kingdom of Elastin. The devourer of nations, vampire King Apollyeon threatened to attackto feed his hungry ever-growing legions with Elastinian flesh.I, Princess Aurora, vowed to stop the demonic ruler. Not for the love … flesh.
I, Princess Aurora, vowed to stop the demonic ruler.
Not for the love of my kingdom.
But to save my beloved sister, Queen Saicin.
For over two thousand years a legend had been passed down from a generation to generation.
According to it, a dragon would come and protect Elastin from all evil, living or dead.
It was all a lie.
A prophecy foretold that a betrayed dragon would rise from the underworld to take revenge on Elastin.
Only a woman who could claim the hearts of three dragons could slay this cursed creature and save the kingdom.
I knew I had to become that woman, against my destiny.
I would have to rewrite the prophecy set by the mighty gods.
My only option was to defy the heavens.
See me, the stars of Cassiopeia.
Hear me, the valleys of the New East Mountain.
No god can stop me.
Dragon Harem is a full-length reverse harem fantasy romance novel with three virile dragon shifters.

This book was a DNF for me (+ 1 star as it *could* have gotten better/gotten more merits). Got about 60-70%-ish in before I threw in the towel. Partly because the review is due today and it’s been 5 days since I stopped reading and partly I really don’t want to go back to it – not any time soon at least. My free time is limited and I, for a lack of a better term, wasn’t having enough fun with it to warrant the struggle of reading it. It was a chore to drudge through, I wasn’t being entertained, not much at least. That being said, it’s not without merits. The bare bones of a semi-developed world was there. The idea what what characterization was being aimed for (but wasn’t stuck too/didn’t add up to a lot) was there. And there were dragons, dragons are cool. I think we can all agree on that.
Biggest issue with it: Pokemon names were used in it. Literal names of Pokemon. Pretty sure that’s copyright infringement.
Other issues: plot holes (of varying sizes), inconsistent plot issues as well as the plot was somewhat forced as if things were gonna happen no matter what no matter how ludicrous the circumstances and/or characterization would have to become.
The female MC was not very likeable. Nor was another character whom supposedly was a “good guy”.
I felt empathy for some of the “bad guys” and almost wanted them to win or make a compromise some how.
the male MCs were either wish-washy, inconsistent, or too boyish. Not to mention not fleshed out much in general.
I couldn’t visualize the dragons in my head from the descriptions. And couldn’t gather what size they were at all. That seems very inconsistent.
Sometimes the writing was confusing. Sometimes it was boring. Sometimes it had repetitive wordings/phrases/adjectives/etc….which should be avoided. That easily fixable though.
Couldn’t tell if the book was pro-feminism or anti-feminism. Either way, it made women seem a rather cruel-seeming/bad at leadership. Wasn’t too thrilled with that.
Had a potential triggering scene/topic. Though not very extremely so.
I think the book needs a bit of a re-hash, if plausible, to make it into anything near a 4/5 star rating book. Would probably be a tad difficult task but I’m confident it’s do-able, if the author were to attempt to do such. Probably would be easier if not physical books are involved. If one is, *shrug*….

I really liked the premise of this story (who doesn’t like dragon heroes?), and I love RH stories, but the characters felt flat and the heroine was not very likable IMO. I wanted more development and background to the story and characters. That said, this was only my first read from this author, and I would try her again.

My first time reading this author, found the story riveting and hot. I can’t wait to read more of this wordsmith. Completely hooked.
An intense, suspenseful, hot, intriguing, very full story. It is not one for me. I couldn’t get caught up in it. I thought it was an okay story for someone who really likes and can get into this story. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
If you like hot and juicy sex, look no further than Nina Rains’ books, just like this one about three dragons and one woman. Of course, it also has a great action adventure/mystery story going on about the war between vampires, dragons, and of course humans. It is also a tremendous love story about a woman willing to do whatever it takes to make a prophecy come true, regardless of the costs, with both her body and her heart. This is a rather late voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
I was disappointed with this read in the beginning because I found it “wordy” and boring while setting up characters and surroundings. However, after Aurora released her first dragon, this author’s style became quite interesting. Good storyline and characters, even if one of the dragons was immature. I absolutely loved the “war” scenes at the end. The descriptions were point on!
Dragon Harem: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance by Nina Rains is a wonderful story to read. I loved reading this wonderful story I was so in awwww of the story. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance and about dragons.

This was a very interesting book. I was wrapped up in the storyline the whole time. It has so many twists and turns. The way Aurora is willing to sacrifice herself to save her sister and her dragons is so astonishing. She is selfless in so many ways. And the way she stays loyal to her dragons after they give her their hearts is truly amazing. I totally love this one!

A reverse harem of dragons and a royal princess who will do anything, including changing destiny, to protect her loved ones. Fabulous ending with that happy ever after epilogue. I loved Aurora and her dragons but I am saddened over Saicin and Dratini. I was so hoping for a different fate for both of them.

A well-written story that kept my interest throughout, a book I would recommend. Aurora and her three dragons Ampharos, Latias, and Renisham’s story has danger, suspense, drama, a prophecy, and an evil villain. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
While this book was quick paced and had a fun escapist premise, some of the prose and scene descriptions were a little flat for my taste. Still, a fun read.

War threatened the Kingdom of Elastin. An evil ruler called forth a cursed creature from the underworld to bring Elastin to an end. According to prophecy, if a woman came forward who was able to capture the hearts of three ancient dragons, she might kill the demonic creature and save her beloved kingdom. Aurora, a warrior princess willing to put her life on the line to save her kingdom, puts herself out there to fall in love with the dragons. She has to find them! Can she save the day? Is her love real and lasting?
I enjoyed reading this book. The story line was suspenseful and well-paced. The characters could be developed a little better which would improve the book overall. But I do love dragon stories and they will always save the day!
The overall Concept is fantastic, but the execution needs a lot of work.
There are way too many occasions throughout the book where instead of the characters discussing an event of some kind, a quick paragraph is thrown in there to very briefly describe what they talked about.
By the time I got to chapter 4, I was dreading reading any further. Like I said, I really like the concept of this storyline. But the flow of the book is too clunky, the characters are all very one dimensional and underdeveloped. Especially the FMC. None of her actions really made sense and were just over the top. She was extremely unlikeable.
There’s one line in particular that really bothers me. “…but with him, I became soft – just as a woman should be with a man”. First off, it’s not the 1950s. Please stop perpetuating the idea that woman have to be a certain way with a loved one. Second of all, it’s completely out of character for Aurora. She’s been insanely bloodthirsty warriors this whole time, and then out of nowhere she’s spouting out the ideals of a barefoot and pregnant housewife.
I think with more work, this could be a fantastic story. But as it is now, I do not recommend.
