What’s hotter than a dragon’s breath? Every inch of his naked human form.
All Polly ever wanted was the freedom to do as she pleases. Picturesque Dragon Island is a nice change of pace, until it’s not.
The more time she spends in the same village, the more it feels like a cage. She yearns to find something new, something exciting.
She doesn’t count on that “something” being a man.
Or a … doesn’t count on that “something” being a man.
Or a dragon.
Or both.
Guardian of Water, god to his people, Ruarc has lived lifetimes alone. His existence revolves around his duty of caring for the island’s wildlife and shifters. He’s content.
Until he meets a human woman who doesn’t belong.
She’s unreasonable. She’s unpredictable. She’s meant to be his mate.
How can he tame a woman so wild? He can’t—not if she tames him first.

Super hot and full of excitement, this well paced tale will carry you off on a journey like no other. Be prepared to fall in love all over again, as Polly and Ruarc battle to tame each other. Not only will these two clash on many levels, but the bond that sneaks up on them will never be broken. This well written book is full of characters you will hate to love, and love to hate, but their journey is full of hurdles that will touch on all of your emotions and make it almost impossible to put down.
I am loving this series. Ms. Blackwood constantly outdoes herself. Well done.
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
‘Dragon Guardian of Water‘ is the third title in the ‘Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters‘ series and this story brings us two very different people who will delight us with laughter, tears, and danger – as well as sizzling chemistry. What more could I ask for, right?
Polly is… unpredictable. She can’t stand to be tied down in one place for long, she always needs to be on the move looking for that next adventure or the elusive thing that might make her want to stay somewhere. She’s stubborn, opinionated, and Ruarc’s mate. He is, in many ways, her exact opposite. His love for the island and its residents is obvious to all. His heartache over the damage being done to the island is easily felt. He might have been a loner but he knows how to care, how to give love to something, or someone. Polly is about to rock his world in so many ways – and maybe, if life is kind, his mate will want to stop her wanderlust ways and stay with him.
I love the way these two amazing authors manage to weave not only a heartbreaking plague into the storyline but laughter as well. Life is a balancing act, no one lives in a void. So bringing all the emotions into play only makes this world more real to me. So, kudos for that particular talent, ladies, it is evident.
I loved the interplay between Ruarc and Polly. He’s so calm, so peaceful – she’s so hyper, so energetic. Again, they balance each other. Once again, I was glued to the Kindle throughout ‘Dragon Guardian of Water‘ – and I loved this couple, perhaps most of all that I’ve met so far in this world. If you love a really good Paranormal or Shifter Romance that is full of laughter, danger, sexiness, and tears then you’d feel right at home in this story, this series.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
She is happy in the water and exploring the island. She doesn’t think she needs anyone and knows everything. She has an attitude and you can tell when she talks. That irritated me somewhat. But it doesn’t bother him as he knows she is his mate. You have excitement, intrigue, danger, surprises, emotional situations and much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Highly entertaining, action packed, sexy and emotionally thrilling adventure filled with dangerous charters, witty banter, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Was a great read from beginning to end.
DRAGON GUARDIAN OF WATER is the third book in the Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters series. Though each will be a complete story of one couple and their road to happily-ever-after, these should be read in the order of release.
I love Polly. She’s thoroughly outrageous, plain-spoken, foot-loose, and confident. She loves to swim and has dreams of being a mermaid; who would be a better match for a water-dragon shifter?
Polly and Ruarc together are a perfect match and thankfully neither one fight against their feelings too long or too hard.
There are plenty of hilarious situations and laugh-out-loud banter. This is balanced with the seriousness of the plague attacking the people and the land which has been woven through the last three books, the politics of dragon brothers, and the community of the island people. The pacing of the stories has been perfect. I love the characters and look forward to knowing more of them.

Polly loves of adventure and it would be a lot better if it took place in water. On her venture to another village she taunts the dragon of water. Ruarc is the dragon Protector of water and is trying to cure the sickness the people. The story is full of adventure plus some steamy heat.

Polly, a human, was invited to dragon island, to visit her best friend, who was married to one of the 4 dragons of Dragon Isle.
But staying in one place only is too confining for the professional treasure hunter, and she goes out to explore other villages nearby. On her way there she is tempted to go for a swim, although she had been told this is a sacred area.
Meeting the master of the house – Ruarc, Guardian Dragon of Water – she is disrespectful and even tries to steal a magical object she had found in the lake. Ruarc should be annoyed, but is more intrigued. But a deadly disease is ravaging on the island, and it is up to Ruarc to save the inhabitants and also his mate.
A fast-paced story with a snarky heroine, and a peaceful dragon, who fiercely fights for the ones he cares.

As always Keira Blackwood does not disappoint. Her stories have a lot going for them. Although I did not connect with the female character in this book, I did like the water dragon very much. I would recommend this book. I enjoyed the story.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Dragon Guardian of Water by Kiera Blackwood and Eva Knight is the third book in the Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters series. I found myself laughing out loud at Polly’s antics. This fun and sexy read (Yes, Mature Readers Only) is loaded with witty banter, tense situations, action, adventure, shifters and family drama. A great anytime read that is best when read in series order.

Book three in the Alphas & Alchemy: Elemental Shifters series a well written short story that kept me turning pages. Polly a human and Guardian of Water, god to his people, Ruarc’s story. Polly is a restless type who needs change in her life. She does, however, love the water so is compatible with Ruarc, the Guardian of Water and a god to his people. Ruarc’s sole attention is focused on duty – taking care of the island’s wildlife and shifters. He is definitely not ready for his meeting with freedom-loving Polly! He thinks he can control her but soon finds he’s totally incorrect! The unreasonable woman who cannot be intimidated turns out to be his mate! Be ready for hilarious, laugh-out-loud situations as Ruarc tries to tell a human woman what she has to do. Oh yeah!
This is a good book with a fun story line where a kind dragon is so caring of the island inhabitants while innocently trying to keep the peace with his ultimate mate. The characters are likable and the pacing works well. Grab your copy and see how it all turns out for them.

This was a very enjoyable book for me to read. While I haven’t read the first two books in the series yet I didn’t find that it deterred my enjoyment of this book. I look forward to further books by this author.
