A brand new DRAGON LORE book! This is a spin off from the original series and can be read as a standalone.Aegir, the Selkie king, has a lot on his mind. He and his pod all but raised a young seer, and it damn near kills him to turn the boy over to his father. Especially when the father makes it abundantly clear he plans to erase the lad’s memories of his first two years.Fuming, Aegir retreats to … years.
Fuming, Aegir retreats to an island in the Orkney chain that holds a gateway to Arcadia, a magical land protecting the source of White Magic. One morning, a strange Selkie catches his eye. Alarmed, he swims out to investigate. Unknown Selkies are bad news. Either spies or rejects from their own pods, they’re never welcome.
Raene spends most of her time running a small bakeshop in the Highlands, but she seeks refuge in the sea once a year. She’s only just taken her seal form when another Selkie accosts her. It’s obvious he wants her to clear out, but she stands her ground. It’s either the bravest thing she’s ever done, or the stupidest. He might be rude and abrasive, but she has a problem, and he’s her best bet to solve it.

This story will blow your imagination right out of the water. As usual, author pens a very adventurous paranormal romance. Unique plot with strong-willed characters especially Raene but Aegir is a patient king and quickly figures her out. Great teamwork, character depth & interesting and well-detailed plot makes this another great series build-up. I am voluntarily reviewing a free copy.
The fifth book in the Dragon Lore series a well-written story that held my interest throughout. A story of Selkies and Dragons this is a must read story. Aegir, the Selkie king, and Raene’s story kept me turning pages I had to know how things would turn out. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.
This story truly has a little of everything! It completes the wondeful Dragon Lore Series which has been a personal favorie of mine. It obviously has dragons, with some old familiar friends and some new surprises. The book is heavily based around selkies, adding selkie magic and mystery to the overall plot. There are also appearances from just about anything you can think of from shape shifters of all types to evil trolls and hobgoblins. You can’t go wrong when you have all of this and throw it into a Scottish Highland setting to boot!
Silkies, Dragons, Shifters and Druids what more could you possibly want? Aegir and Raene are so interesting. She has spent more time as a human, while he spends most of his time in the water. She takes her yearly vacation and ends up finding out who her father was, thanks to her mom. i really enjoyed this book, and Raene is feisty and sweet at the same time.
In this book we visit some old friends and
find some new one.
Fantastic plot that draws you into it.
Characters are great and well developed.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I was really excited to get back to the Dragon Lore series. This book can be read as a standalone and you won’t be lost. This book had me up way too late because I didn’t want to stop. I loved Raene and Aegir was close to perfect. She was willing and excited to learn and Aegir was willing to teach her. Together they will be looking for her father, try to rescue a dragon youngling, and battle to save magic. Wow, that’s one way to get to know each other. Romance, magic, dragons, selkies, demons, fae, and druids, you name it. This is an outstanding addition to the series. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
It has been a minute since reading a good one with a dragon but had tasted this series and enjoyed it much. But then this one has more to it then meets the eye which right from the beginning catches my eye to see where she takes us with this one. You will at first get tugged one way with emotions going to war then you also will be given some soul searching too. Aegir and Raene will give you quite the chase with their personalities drawing you in tight. The magic with this is it is not just dragons but selkies also which there are not many of that out there either. Being sucked under you can not catch your breath until you reach the last of this one, being given a delightful one.
