I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Olivia and her dragons head to Viperus, Kieran’s Kingdom to hunt for the Star of Poison so they can be a step closer to breaking the ruse and getting rid of Tianna the witch for good, whose been tormenting the Dragon Descendants for a Century. I loved Olivia’s connection between her Dragon’s even if they fight over her and man their chemistry is off the charts. I loved seeing Issik’s softer side the closer him and Olivia get. I found it funny how clumsy Olivia is as it made me smile constantly throughout the book. Olivia and her Dragon’s aren’t having much luck finding the Stone of Poison but Tianna isn’t making their quest any easier, as she’s sending griffins, poisonous mind controlling butterflies and spirits to attack them and possibly try and abduct Olivia. I found it sweet how each of her Dragons have different pet names for her Cupcake from Jase, Little Warrior from Issik, Little Gem from Zade and Blondie from Kieran. Olivia seems to be a magnet for danger but luckily she has her Dragons’ to keep her safe and I’m glad that even though they don’t want her to be n danger, Jase has been teaching her how to master her Tranquility power as well as some fighting techniques. Wow, what an ending I’m really looking forward to reading the next book to see how their hunt the Star of Fire goes. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
This is for the Audible version of the book.
This is the second story in the Dragon Descendants series and is very enjoyable.I really enjoyed this story. It was fast, well written, and enjoyable. The characters are well developed and grow throughout the book. The narrator does a great job with the story and has a very pleasant listening voice. The story world is great and goes to a second realm in the Isle of Veils – the fantasy world of the dragon shifters. Overall a very well done book.
Another fantastic book by J.L. Weil!
Olivia Campbell has five months to find a way to break the curse that bound the last four dragons to the veil or the age of the dragons will come to an end.
Kieran Devenport has the ability to breath poison. Not only is he edgy and charming, he’s quite dangerous and an ally that Olivia is glad to have. She will need his help in order to find the Star of Poison in Kieran’s kingdom of Viperus.
I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters are fantastic and have a lot of depth to them. The story line is fantastic, with plenty of action, humor and of course great romance. You’ll have a hard time putting the book down, I know I did! I can’t wait for the 3rd book to come out!
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*** J.L. Weil has done it again. This book is wonderful and she really knows how to leave you hanging. This is the 2nd book in the Dragon Descendants Series. This book picks up right where it left off. Olivia and her dragons are still looking for the other missing stones. This book is such a quick and easy read! I was so excited to have more smexy scenes with Olivia and her dragons. Olivia is more comfortable and confident around her dragons. I am so drawn into this world and this series. J.L. Weil does a great job at making you feel like you are in this world. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series
Olivia is in the race of time she has 5 months left to save her dragon men! This is a totally amazing book I fell for these four dragons even more then before! These 4 dragons are so protective of Olivia you had Help but Falling for them and Mister Issik you can tell he is starting to come around just him! In this book we go to Kieran’s Kingdom In Search of the second Stone the stone of poison it’s an awesome Journey be ready to get sucked in I so recommend this book you will love it!
Loved the first and love this one even harder! Action packed, sexy and fun. Never a dull moment with Olivia and her 4 dragons. Can’t wait for the next one!!
You’ll need to start with book 1 to fully get book 2 & not feel lost, as the world building starts in book 1. I loved the first book, my favorite dragon book to date. Book two is still good, still a great read, but didn’t quite pull off what book one did for me. I felt there were a few places in this book that didn’t flow as well, and a few places that just didn’t work for me. I still love the 4 dragons (Jase, Kiernan, Zade & Issik). But Olivia came across a bit more childish & ditzy than she did in book one (I really hope she evolves more in book 3). I felt that she had some character growth at the end of book 1, but lost it in book 2. With having the breath of Tranquility, I felt Olivia should have had a bit more confidence or something, even just in her ability to help find the stones. This book almost feels like luck (or the ghostly beings in the water) is helping her find the stones instead of her actually having something to do with it. I also want to feel more of why the Dragons are all attracted to her. Looking forward to book 3.
*WARNING* contains minimal sexual content
So this is book 2 in this series and I am NOT disappointed. Olivia is getting bolder. She is still understandably frightened, I mean who wouldn’t be, but she is finding her “fight mode”. Our four dragons are still not cooperating though, near constant fighting, is it a Dragon thing or a jealously thing?
I am thoroughly enjoying following this series and watching these characters develop along with their personalities, and relationships. The author does a great job describe each Dragon kingdom as it’s entered and the two I’ve read about so far are completely different. The hardest and worst part for me is waiting for the release of the next book because, yes this ends with a cliffhanger
Bring on the fire kingdom!
Absorbing Poison is the second book in J.L. Weil’s Dragon Descendants series. The events pick up not long after the first book leave off and flow seamlessly together. Olivia, Issik, Kieran, and the others must find a way to completely break the curse and journey to Kieran’s kingdom in search of the second stone. Olivia is beginning to be more at ease with her dragons, and I love to see their relationships develop as the story progresses. Olivia is strong and able to handle the challenges she faces, but she also pushes her guys to be better and to include her in their plans. I love that these characters draw you into their world and make you keep reading their story. If you loved the first book in the series, you will definitely love this one. I can’t wait for the next installment!
