Once again Me. Wilson provides a peek into a world where humans and dragons care for one another. Great story.
A lovely series!!!
I reviewed each book separately, I’ll recap each one here.
1. I really liked it. I hadn’t even read one page and already I was fully captivated. I read the Dragon School series and this is set in that world. I don’t think this stands alone though. Better to read the Dragon School series first, to fully understand this world of dragons and Magikas etc. I did very much like the dry, honest sense of humor Saboraak (the Chameleon Dragon) has. It was adventurous, fast-paced, and entertaining!
2. Saboraak’s the best! Tor is independent and confident, although when it comes to girls and emotions: not so much. Soft-hearted Saboraak is the one I liked best. Together with Bataar, Zyla and Zin they embark on an adventure. Fast-paced and exciting, this story was well worth my time. I liked the constant bickering between Tor and Saboraak.
3. An amazing dragon-ride! I loved it! Lovelovelove! I loved the telepathic conversations between Tor and his dragon Saboraak. And…was that…COMPASSION Tor felt for Zin? My my, the boy is learning! He’s softening up and I lllllllllike it! He’s starting to like his dragon and I’m connecting too. He’s starting to feel responsible for his dragon and his new friends and that’s new for him!
4. Skies and Stars! That was a.m.a.z.i.n.g! There were some moments of horror. Those people with the silver swirls in their eyes – they freak Tor out, and they freak me out! It was crazy suspenseful, crazy full stop. It was everything I could possibly want in a YA fantasy. The way Tor and Saboraak communicate is so full of dry humor! Saboraak is learning sarcasm! So funny. Amazing amazing amazing!
Tor is great as an unwilling and unwitting hero. But fate intends to make him one despite himself.
From a performance standpoint, all of the male parts came across well for me. The female voices not so much.
Serials are a bit of a challenge for me. I enjoyed having these together in the omnibus. I just wish there had been more as I am likely to forget many of the details before I have the opportunity to continue.
Absolutely brilliant start to this follow up series. I loved the character of Tor, an unlikely hero and Saboraak, the Chameleon dragon. The form an interesting partnership to say the least. But they somehow feel a good match. Hubric is involved and this has the promise of another exciting adventure.
Sorry but this is twenty to one in the morning but I couldn’t wait to review. Awesome story.
That was my review for book 1. The series got better with each book, so to have books 1 to 4 together is a real treat.
Dragon Chameleon takes the reader on an exciting adventure. The pages of this tale are rich with imagination. The author has wonderful world building skills. Possessing the ability to almost magically bring the story to life with her descriptive language. I could definitely see sharing this story with my child when older. I can’t wait to listen to more.
Wow I am loving this new Series, its fast paced and action packed. Tor (trout) and Soboraak are great there bantering with one another makes me laugh. But they are there for on another. There being chased. The have some friends there also helping. This read is none stop action that really keeps you turning those pagez because you can’t wait whats going to happen next. This Author hits a home run again. A definite recommend. A Must read Dragon series.
