A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and … heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars… or ending them. But they are feared for those powers, and in recent centuries, they have been hunted nearly to extinction.
The few remaining survivors must find a way to change how humanity perceives them or be lost to the world forever.
The Dragon Blood Collection includes three full-length novels of action, magic, and romance:
Balanced on the Blade’s Edge
Deathmaker
Blood Charged

I want to see where it is going!
Awesome !
I loved this steampunk-fantasy world as I can definitely see some potential here for even more awesomeness. I loved the flying machines and their lovely pilot Ridge. I also really liked our magician Sardelle whose soul blade Jaxi added a whole lot of giggling to the mix. But what I didn’t like so much was the way Ridge behaved towards Sardelle …
I rarely spend money on books anymore. I use lots of libraries and collect free books to sample. But after reading these 3 I’ve bought the other 5 in the series! A perfect mix of fantasy, romance, action and adventure in a well crafted world populated by interesting characters. Give it a try!
One of Buroker’s finest works — and I am not a fantasy fan but this mixture of fantasy and scifi is a winner. on book 6 of 8 right now and have not been able to put them down since book 1.
The author creates a very good story. This story follows the main characters of Sardelle and Ridge. Sardelle has been in stasis for about three hundred years since humanity turned on magic users and literally brought a mountain down on their home and she is the only one that survives to wake up when humanity is mining that very same mountain …
How can a fantasy be “realistic?” Well, it is. Great reading.
I love Buroker’s books-they are guaranteed to make you wait impatiently for more of the same to be written!
I love this series
Couldn’t stop wanting more of this story. Read the lot. One of the best I have read for a long time.
Highly recommended
The title is a bit misleading but it’s not bad if you like romantic adventures.
Slow moving but interesting setting and plot.
page-turner. I recommended to my friend
Sometimes I cannot “buy into” Lindsey Bourker’s stories. Just too many impossible to believe things before breakfast. Too many wheels within wheels.
So many characters who are archtypes. Really preferred the “Lost Empire series as those heroes and heroines were better developed
Fun book. Great humor between characters. Kept me smiling.
I love this author, but these books felt very rushed.
I have been an enthusiastic reader of every L. Buroker novel I’ve bought; And I’ve bought a lot of them. She needs to keep writing to feed my habit. I particularly enjoy the way she combines action with witty dialog.
Awesome series by a fantastic author. I read EVERYTHING she writes because I know I’m going to love it! Characters are always interesting. Dialog is great. Story line entertaining and original. Highly recommend!
One of the best.
A fun steampunk-fantasy that merges different stories in a clever and beautiful way. The author paints exciting pictures in my mind while moving through perilous adventures.
