I thought human women were fragile and helpless.
Then I met Diana.
A pirate.
Who knifed me the first time we met.
Who makes it clear that she doesn’t need to be rescued.
My mate.
When we’re not fighting each other, we flirt.
I call her spitfire.
She promises to burn me.
Diana’s warm. Passionate. Daring. I would happily lose myself in her fire.
But she’s involved herself in a dangerous … happily lose myself in her fire.
But she’s involved herself in a dangerous undertaking. She’s feeding covert intelligence to the Rebellion. And she’s drawn the attention of my mass-murdering psychopath brother.
To protect her, I need to pretend that Diana doesn’t matter to me. I need to walk away.
But I’m Draekon. And Diana is my mate. Leaving is never an option.

Ok, let’s face it. I’m convinced I want a Draekon for my own but Lee Savino & Lili Zander keep pairing them up faster than I can put in an order. *sigh* Needless to say, meeting Diana and Mirak is like, WOW. Just go on their first date together at the bar and you’re going to want one for yourself as well. What a terrific story and I can’t wait to read Fifth’s story next. Great job ladies!
First off I really enjoyed Diana characters she is fearless and strong. Dreakon has a challenge on his hands if wants diana for a mate. Great story plot amazing chemistry I love this book series
great read
As exciting as the ones before, I highly recommend this book and this series! The stories build on each other but can be read alone. The story is full of intrigue and a really nice tie in for the rescuing woman to be a child of a holocaust survivor. The fact that she’s also a kick abs warrior woman also makes this a must-read. The action is fierce and the plot is tightly written. The draegon and Diana have a hot relationship but the build-up to it is really well done! Check it out!
This is the third book in this series. I’ve read them all. They are all interesting. The thing that captures my attention is that the reader can sense the twinkle in the eye of all the Draekon. They have a wicked sense of humor. These are the original Draekon, hence the numbers. There are six of the original Draekon. They all have a special ability other than simply turning into a dragon. There’s steam in the books when they find their mates. There is also a lot of action in the books. I recommend all of the books.
“Draekon Pirate” is the third story in the series ‘Rebel Force’ and it’s an amazing SciFi Dragon Shifter Romance series which continues to keep us salivating over these Interstellar Warriors and their mates, as they overcome many adversities. I am loving this series Rebel Force and thrilled that we are reading about another of the original Draekons who had been in stasis for 1000 years!
We are introduced to Mirak, also known as Fourth and Diane, who are great characters! Diane was held captive, she was kidnaped and rescued by pirates from the science labs. The pirates adopted her and through hard work and dedication, she becomes second in command. Enter Mirak/Fourth, who thinks she needs to be rescued, only to find that she’s not in need of being rescued. Malik makes an appearance by temporarily boarding the pirate ship, uninvited. And the knives fly, as does the electrical connection between the two!
Lee Savino and Lili Zander know how to deliver a story with great dialogue, strong characters, lots of surprises and steamy, sexy fun to keep it a page turner from the first page!! Can’t wait for the next Book!!!
Love Lee’s books –
There’s an incredible sense of fun in Draekon Pirate. How can you beat a band of pirates who are more like the Merry Men of Sherwood, robbing the evil rich galactic corporations to help the Rebellion against the hidebound Zorahn Empire? But balancing out this enterprising crew is a surprising struggle between our protagonists Mirak and Diana. For not only do they struggle in establishing their relationship, each battles their own lack of self-worth—and therefore their worthiness for one another.
Diana is a great reflection of the way so many people are: she’s outwardly competent but inwardly insecure. Her abandonment issues make her distrust the belief others have in her, but she also struggles with the harsher aspects of command that she’s been thrust into. Anyone who’s ever had to fire someone can see how Diana avoids the confrontations she dreads among her crew. Mirak shirks any lasting commitment, whether to the Rebellion or to Diana, because he can’t let go of the damage he and the other Draekon Force members caused so long ago.
I liked the way this book moved from really humorous elements at the beginning to a more serious tone by the end, reflecting the deepening relationship between Diana and Mirak. The secondary characters, particularly Diana’s fellow crew members and mentor, are well drawn. There are welcome sightings of other members of the Draekon Force, and the overarching plot of this series doesn’t necessarily take center stage, but drives the action of Draekon Pirate and then offers a nice twist at the end.
There are some flaws here: Diana’s insecurity issues lead to decisions on the ship that I couldn’t see a pirate captain countenancing from his second-in-command, and everyone’s talents work a bit too perfectly to fit the situation needed. That, and I never realized evacuations could move so quickly—that strained credulity.
But the lightheartedness of the early part of Draekon Pirate is infectious, and when Savino and Zander deepen the story with the growing connection between Mirak and Diana, it just makes you sigh. This is a great addition to the Draekon Force series.
I loved this book! I was pulled in immediately! I want a Draekon of my very own. Lee Savino & Lili Zander make it impossible not to want that kind of love, loyalty and passion!! Diana and Mirak is a perfect example! You have to check this book out! They bring the best and worse out of each other but isn’t that reality? Their chemistry is electric! I could not put this book down. A must read! I am ready for the next book! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy from the authors
I love the Draekons so much and Mirak and Diana are fierce and consuming both are so brave the match is perfection their attitudes gives us funny and exciting also alot of steam that never gets dull.
I can’t put these down once I start, I love them.
Draekon Pirate is the third book in the Rebel Force series, connected to the Dragons in Exile world, and it could be read as a stand alone. Diana is the second in command on a Robin Hood style pirate ship, spaceship that is, when Mirak enters her life. While he wants to protect her, he also can’t get her out of his mind. When Diana and Mirak both capture the attention of First, will they be able to protect each other and find something worth fighting for?
I loved reading this book! Diana and Mirak stole my attention and heart with all of their reluctant romance, plus add in action, a drive to protect others, a really bad “guy,” and a lot of delicious steamy scenes, and this book just had it all! Diana is my new hero, she was so amazing, brave, bold at times, but had a heart of gold. I loved her protective nature, and even loved her insecurities. Mirak also had a protective side, especially when it came to Diana. I loved his playful side, and while at times he seemed didn’t want to pick a side, I loved that he put others above himself. The interactions between Diana and Mirak were so fun, full of tension, and I loved their chemistry! This book was also full of tension in terms of what was going on with First and I loved that things get more and more intense in terms of the overarching storyline in this series. I can’t wait for more!
I love the Crimson Force guys. They have a vibe that the other Draekon don’t have. I’m not going to complain about that. I like all of them either way.
I love the switch up of Diana here. Usually the human women have been in distress and not happy. But Diana, she’s found a happy place. She’s totally not in distress. She’s a pirate, and not just a pirate, but also the second in command of the ship. So when Mirak comes to rescue her, she’s not all that excited about it.
I love how strong Diana is. She’s going to go out there and conqueor the universe, and the fact that Mirak is willing to trust her and give her his support means that she might just be able to do that.
Lee and Lili have written another great story with two very strong characters and a wonderful story. I read this story in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this story for anyone that enjoys strong independent women, and an alpha alien.
Third book in the Rebel Force series & it’s about Fourth, aka Mirak. I enjoyed this book, which can easily be read standalone, & found the characters of Mirak & Diana to be fun together. I loved that Diana’s impulse about almost anything is to first attack. I also liked that while this is book 3 in a spin off series, it doesn’t let itself to get bogged down in rehashing the background & initial premise but allows the reader to have enough details to be able to enjoy this book. Well done.
I love these Draekons! Each one is so unique, so sincere, and so hot. Each human woman is strong, independent, and drools just a little. Diana and Mirak are great characters. She was kidnaped and rescued by pirates who adopt her into their “clan”. Through hard work and dedication, she becomes second in command. Mirak (Fourth) makes an appearance by temporarily boarding the pirate ship, uninvited. It’s love at first catch of the knife thrown by Diana at Mirak. I loved the chemistry between these two, the push and pull of the relationship. The book moves quickly, has some surprises, and of course steamy fun. This book, as well as books 1 & 2 are all available to read for free with your KU Subscription. Great read and I can’t wait for the next Draekon’s book.
I received an ARC and this is my totally honest review.
My favorite book of the series so far. The chemistry between the characters is out of the park. The story is fast paced and full of action. The characters are steamy, combustible and hilarious together. My favorite scene was when Mirak is seducing Diana in the bar and has to divest her of all her weapons. He doesn’t bat an eye and takes it in stride. Brilliant! Cannot wait to read the next book.
Mirak (Fourth) gets Top Billing in this Excellent Draekon Adventure!!
A different spin here! Most of the human women need rescuing from dire situations. Diana has already rescued herself and is second-in-command of a pirate vessel. Love the development of this relationship. It is full of knives, trackers and spy cameras.
Pirates with a Robin Hood type morality. Who also work to help the Rebellion. When these actions put them on the radar of First, who is on a killing spree; Fourth refuses to put his mate in the line of fire, but can he walk (or fly) away from this competent spitfire?
Scintillating and tense as these characters work to save a race of Draekons.
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
This is another fast paced, action filled read set in this superbly constructed world.
I love the power and connection between the characters and there was some serious heat there too.
These two authors continue to deliver the goods.
Highly recommended
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is another amazing entry in this highly entertaining series. This book brings readers Diana and Mirak’s story. Tension, danger, action, adventure, intense emotions, steam, humor, heart, sweetness and romance are combined and woven throughout this engaging and exciting fated mates, Draekon shifter tale. I loved it and am already impatiently awaiting the next book! This is my independent, impartial review.
