It’s just a docuseries about your career as an OB/GYN, they said.It won’t interrupt your life during or after filming, they said.It is a great opportunity for the hospital and your practice, they said.Well, they – the television executives who seem intent on ruining my career and personal life with a fair number of creative liberties – lied. Now I’m stuck dealing with the consequences of believing … with the consequences of believing them.
Instead of being known as Dr. Will Cummings, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s Hospital, I’m now being called Dr. Obscene.
What devotion I’d hoped to earn in respect, I’ve instead received in patients flashing me seductive smiles and flirtatious winks during their exams.
How’s a guy supposed to convince the most perfect woman he’s ever met that he’s not as much of an idiot in real life as he appears to be on camera?
With all of the show’s side effects taking root like parasites, it’s going to take a lot to persuade Melody Marco to be anything more than my new nurse.
But I can’t get her out of my head.
I want her.
Good thing I’ve never been one to back away from a challenge…
Get ready, Melody.

This was a terribly written book. Do NOT recommend
Ending left a bit to be desired but generally fun read. The fact that the TV show “documentary” turned out very differently from what the doctor thought is a nice point to pivot the plot around.
Funny! Loved it! Couldn’t put book down!
great book
Some good laughs but overall incredibly cheesy and not good enough to keep me reading
Funny
Likeable characters
a little slow
Love everything I have read by Max Monroe
Funny, easy read
Had me laughing out loud.
Great mix of fun and romance
Nice story…just wish the author would have stopped changing the names of some of the characters.
I laughed out loud over the witty banter and read the whole novel in one sitting!
I love a book that can deliver steamy bedroom scenes and then turn around and make me snort with laughter.
This book made me laugh out loud more than once. It is well written and moves at at a fast pace. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who wants an entertaining read.
Couldn’t get past the first few chapters. Banal and jerky writing style. Weird sexual emphasis , awkward rather than enjoyable.
Hard to finish
Terrible, poorly written. Could not finish.
After a reality show broadcasts Will in a terribly unfair light, all I can say is his patients’ antics had me at a cross between laughing and jaw dropping…like seriously OTT moments of horrified fascination on my part… At any rate, taking the show’s drama out of the mix for a hot minute, I got a kick out of Will’s parents’ behavior and loved his wacky friends. Melody and Will’s romance was sugary sweet-rather cute really, because he’s kind of an awkwardly sexy nerd-but he’s got just enough of a mouth on him to add a sizzling dash of naughty in the bedroom.
Dr. Ob by Max Monroe is an entertaining read. Team Monroe has delivered a well-written book. The characters are outstanding and some are downright hysterical. Will is an OB doctor participating in what he thinks will be a legitimate documentary on three doctors at his hospital. Melody is an out of work nurse that just moved in with her parents after breaking up with her boyfriend and moving back to her home. Will and Melody’s story is packed with drama, humor and sizzle. I totally enjoyed reading this fun book and look forward to reading more from Max Monroe in the future. Dr. OB is book 1 of the St. Luke’s Docuseries but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
