It’s just a docuseries about your career as an OB/GYN, they said.It won’t interrupt your life during or after filming, they said.It is a great opportunity for the hospital and your practice, they said.Well, they – the television executives who seem intent on ruining my career and personal life with a fair number of creative liberties – lied. Now I’m stuck dealing with the consequences of believing … with the consequences of believing them.
Instead of being known as Dr. Will Cummings, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s Hospital, I’m now being called Dr. Obscene.
What devotion I’d hoped to earn in respect, I’ve instead received in patients flashing me seductive smiles and flirtatious winks during their exams.
How’s a guy supposed to convince the most perfect woman he’s ever met that he’s not as much of an idiot in real life as he appears to be on camera?
With all of the show’s side effects taking root like parasites, it’s going to take a lot to persuade Melody Marco to be anything more than my new nurse.
But I can’t get her out of my head.
I want her.
Good thing I’ve never been one to back away from a challenge…
Get ready, Melody.

OK, seriously, how did I not realize that this is a spinoff of the Billionaire Bad Boys series? I just finished a romantic suspense and was in the mood for something light, snarky, and laugh-out-loud funny. I know I can always count on Max Monroe for that! Then WHAMMY! Right on page one, I start reading about Will pulling into his parent’s driveway and as he reminisces about his childhood I think, “Wait. I know these people…” Yep. I sure do.
This is Will Cummings…Georgia’s big brother, Will. In the very first scene, you get to reconnect to Georgia and Kline through their little daughter, Julia. Who, I might add, is absolutely adorable! Dr Ob is Will as the star of a docuseries based on doctors from St. Luke’s Hospital. He gets the privilege of having his segment of the series air first. He’s looking forward to the exposure St. Luke’s, and his practice, in particular, will get from this series. Little does he know how the producers will spin it and the havoc it’ll reap on his life. But, it does lead Melody to him and that’s a good thing. Eventually.
Dr Ob is a hilarious, snarky, sexy rom-com that will have you laughing out loud one minute and a bundle of emotions the next. It’s another hit for the writing duo of Max Monroe!
Funny and Steamy….. loved the story …the conflict at the end wasn’t my fav, but good book overall.
A fun read….silly and fun
Kept laughing.
What a fun read! Loved the characters.
S’awlright.
Loved it! Because of this book, I read the whole series. Highly recommend
I laughed so hard I choked. It was hysterical and very funny. Characters were endearing and real.
NO SPOILERS!
There is literally nothing that Max Monroe writes that I don’t absolutely love! Dr. OB was a sexy, hilarious, and immensely entertaining standalone romantic comedy and start to the St. Luke’s Docuseries, and I absolutely loved it! The storyline and characters were phenomenal, and I once again loved Max Monroe’s writing style and unique sense of humor. Just when I thought they couldn’t impress me more, they wrote Dr. OB and completely blew me away. Seriously, Max Monroe is my top favorite author/author duo ever, and I can’t wait to devour more of their books, especially the rest of the St. Luke’s Docuseries!
The storyline was incredible. Of course, I’ve read books with the boss/employee trope before, but nothing like Dr. OB. It was so much better than I imagined, and I loved every moment of it. As with every Max Monroe book I’ve read so far, I know there will never be a shortage of laugh-out-loud moments and amusing entertainment, and Dr. OB was no exception. From the first page to the last, I was wholeheartedly addicted to Will and Melody’s story. I am completely obsessed with Max Monroe’s addictive brand of heat, humor, and swoon-worthy romance, and each book they write captures my heart and soul more than the last. Dr. OB has been one of my top favorite romantic comedies from this extraordinarily talented author duo, and I was freaking ecstatic with the conclusion to Will and Melody’s story.
The characters were everything I wanted and so much more. Will Cummings and Melody Marco were amazing, and they completely stole my heart. I loved Will, I loved Melody, and I absolutely loved the story Max Monroe created for these two sweet, funny, and lovable characters. Will and Melody were kind, charming, compassionate, and funny, and even though they were both awkward at times, it was utterly adorable and endearing. I loved Will and Melody’s personalities and red-hot chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved reading the book from both Will and Melody’s point of view, and all of their banter and interactions with each other. Even though Dr. OB was a complete standalone romantic comedy, I loved the glimpses of several characters from Max Monroe’s first series, the Bad Boy Billionaires. You definitely don’t have to read that series in order to read this book, but if you have read that one, you’ll love Dr. OB even more. Will and Melody are definitely on my list of top favorite fictional characters, and I absolutely loved the conclusion to their story. It was so much better than I expected, and I couldn’t have been happier.
Dr. OB was another sexy, humorous, addicting, and incredibly entertaining standalone romantic comedy from Max Monroe, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! Max Monroe did a phenomenal job with this book, and I was beyond pleased with the outcome to Will and Melody’s story. Dr. OB was an excellent start to the St. Luke’s Docuseries of standalones, and I can’t wait to read the next installment, Dr. ER!
Good read … Entertaining!
I just love everything these two authors write. Will and Mel are amazing together. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like in their story. Oh man, so many funny moments. I love books that make me giggle like a 12 year old girl. I especially loved that we got to see the other characters in here too. Thatch! You can never have enough of that man. I already preordered the next book!
Fun read
I adored this book! The characters were very real, the dialogue was funny. I have a new favorite author(s??) and I’m happy to be able to read more in this series. I really cared what happened to these two, I really enjoyed their embarrassing, awkward parents (so much like my own!) and their friends are awesome too. Seriously this is a fun, fantastic, steamy and sometimes hilarious book. Enjoy!
farfetched but entertaining
I always love Max’s books
Hysterical! Hot and steamy with a great plot and fun characters.
What can I say that hasn’t already been said about a Max Monroe book? These two are comedic gold. However, they also know how to write the perfect amount of sexy and swoony!
Melody is down on her luck. She just broke it off with her boyfriend and moved back across the country and is living with her parents (who are awesome)! She is in desperate need of a job, but isn’t sure nursing is her passion anymore. However, she needs to get a job in order to figure out her next steps in life, so when her mom lines up an interview with her friend’s son, she can’t say no.
Dr. Will and several of the doctors at St. Luke’s signed on to be filmed for a docuseries called The Doctor Is In. Will thinks it will up his game in the dating world while bringing great publicity to the work being done at St. Luke’s. What Dr. Will didn’t bargain for was the show focusing on his single guy ways versus the actual work he does. Once the first episode airs, Will’s world changes and not in a good way. Patients start throwing themselves at him. Nurses are applying for the open position just for the opportunity to sleep with Dr. OBscence!
Melody Marco gets offered the job after head nurse, Marlene realizes she is not applying just to get close to Dr. Will. Little does she know her world is about to be tipped off its axis when she meets the charming Will Cummings. Their first encounter was one of the funniest things I have ever read. Once the awkward (yet hysterical) meeting was over, these two clicked! They had a great working relationship that expanded into friendship, which blossomed into more.
Will is romantic AF! Truly one swoony bastard. Who needs flowers when you have someone as thoughtful and amazing as Will? Give me a box of tongue depressors STAT!
Having the Billionaire Bad Boy gang all making appearances makes Dr. OB that much better. I will never tire of seeing these characters and hope to see them in future books!
Loved all 3 “Dr.” books. Enjoyed all 3!!
Fun to read with really good characters.
I laughed out loud and read excerpts to my parents while traveling to visit family.
