The story is full of laughter, love, and sadness. It has a great mixture of feelings and was a good story to read. Luke works at a garage and Violet works at the library. They are completely different from each other but are brought together by Luke’s sister Frankie. I enjoyed how things worked out and will be looking forward to the next book.
Left me feeling like huh! Ends in a cliffhanger. The characters are entertaining. The fall in love extremely fast. I think more of a story could be told. I felt it was rushed a bit. But overall not bad. I think I will buy the rest of the series.
An opposites attract story. Luke and Violet have nothing in common and assumptions are made at their first meeting. He believes she is high maintenance and she sees him as a jerk.
After a particularly angry scene he decides to prove to her that he is a nice guy after all.
This book has fast cars, families trying to deal with the loss of a loved one and some steamy scenes.
Violet a librarian and Luke a sexy street racer taking care of his 14year old sister in my opinion were the best thing that happened to each other in a long time amongst all the drama playing out in their lives .
Once you get into the story some parts will rip at your heart , make your pulse rise and turn you into a wreck…It’s really good .
I loved this book! So, I was not sure what to expect. This is a new author for me and I am not normally into the street racing books but this one caught me from page one! Violet and Luke have a hate at first sight kind of love story. But it is hilarious to read. I love that both Violet and Luke grown in the book and make each other better. There are steamy love scenes, racing, humor, a great cast of characters and a page turning plot. This will be your next 5 star read!
“Yellow, yellow, yellow, green!” That’s exactly how I felt waiting for this book. I managed to finish this book in 3 hours there was no downshifting for me! See what I did there, haha. This book was full of sexual tension, romance, and what the meaning of family truly meant! Luke, the owner of Skid Row Kings, was thrown into the role of care taker for his little sister, Frankie. She loves spending time at the library where she meets Violet, the Librarian. Violet notices that she’s often not picked up on time and tries to befriend her. Well, little does she know that her heart is going to hit 115 in 11.9. With the ups and downs that comes along with being a part of his family, is she ready to wave that checkered flag? Will she be able to handle the race bunnies throwing themselves at Luke right in front of her? This is an amazing start to a great series that gets 5 green stars from me!!
