Life was chaotic and unpredictable; made up of a series of events—a collection of firsts.First crush.First kiss.First love.Between the murky waters, I’d found salvation. And it was all because of him—the broody alpha who appeared at the time I needed him most.He promised me things, and showed me the life I could have. But all it took was one moment to destroy everything.Nothing else mattered. No … everything.
Nothing else mattered.
No one else mattered.
It was him and me against the world.
Until it wasn’t.
I hadn’t known just how forbidden our love was.
I hadn’t known I’d been tutoring his son.
I hadn’t known about the family he had hidden away.
I hadn’t known he was cheating—with me.
I wish I could say I wanted to take it all back, but it’d be a lie.
A blatant lie.
He was my biggest downfall, but I’d never regret it.
Choosing him was never an option, the question was whether he’d risk it all.
Down Fall is book two in the Fallen Duet. The final instalment in the two-part, drama-filled, heart-felt, epic love story.

Having just finished Free Fall, it wasn’t hard to get stuck into this book. It picked up exactly where the first book left off. Finding out that Brody wasn’t who he said he was, Lola felt her life was going down the pan. She found it so hard to come to terms with that Brody had been lying to her this whole time, did that mean he had lied about his feelings for her. She could only think that everything had been a lie and she was heart broken. She felt so used at just playing a part for him catching Hut. Hut knew nothing about their relationship or so they thought. Should she tell Hut who he was? What will happen now?
Brody was devastated when he found out who Lola was tutoring, but he had to think of his family and do the right thing and try to make more of an effort. This was not successful as things change when you are someone else for months at a time.
Again with this book I can’t say much more without giving spoilers away.
These books are a definite good read.
Is there a happy ending? Not for everyone, but there again that’s life!!!!
Down Fall picks up right where Free Fall left off. You cannot help but be on Lola’s side and cheer her on. Just as she gets out and things start looking up, Cresthill is determined to pull her back in. But now she has a reason to fight to stay out and she chooses herself.
Such a great continuation and you have such a clear understanding of how Brody could make the choices that he did. I love Lola and Brody’s story!!!
I loved every single heartbreaking, angsty, loving, dramatic, shocking, off the chart chemistry filled moment of this book. Lola and Brody were my absolute favorite read of 2019.
After reading book one (free fall) and the ending of that book, i couldn’t wait to get my hands on book two and i was not disappointed.
Picking up right where we left off from book one, we follow Lola and Brody and the trials that they are facing whether together or apart.
After book one i didn’t know how the story was going to go and i couldn’t think that my feelings on the characters would change, but they did.
The book is emotional, gripping, full of angst and i couldn’t get enough of it! Cannot wait for more.
Abigail Davies has given us the perfect ending for the Fallen Duet.
This is a must read duet. You will be thinking of this duet long after the last page has been read. Lola is strong! Lola is absolutely one of my favorite characters I’ve ever read.
And Brody redeems himself tremendously in book 2.
Abigail Davies takes us on one EMOTIONAL ride with the Fallen Duet. We want to strangle Davies after Book 1 and now we all hail to her greatness! She’s a master at angst, a master of redemption and a master of love. My review is going to be short because all anyone needs to know is that you will LOVE this book and you will FALL for both of the characters. The love between the two is felt on each and every page. Abigail Davies writes a true masterpiece.
Highly recommended.
I honestly loved this duet and will be doing a re-read ASAP!
Another 5 stars for this amazing author: Abigail Davis
Wow Down Fall book 2 and the final part to Brody & Lola’s epic rollercoaster story, does not disappoint in anyway.
Picking up right where we were left at the end of part 1, this story keeps slamming you with massive hits, twists and leaves you screaming, crying, smiling and then re-thinking all that you thought you knew after reading part 1, but we do get all the answers we have been patently waiting for.
Highly recommended read
