From New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan comes a delicious new standalone romance featuring an accidental Vegas wedding and a totally perfect alpha hero. Remember that time you accidentally woke up in Vegas married to your hot younger guy friend? That’s basically my life right now. Mistakes were made, okay? He’s too young for me. Twenty-three to my thirty. And he’s saving himself for the … to my thirty. And he’s saving himself for the right girl.
Yup. Apparently I’ve married the last alpha-male virgin on the planet. And my stubborn, oddly traditional, new husband doesn’t want a divorce.
He wants me.
Complicated doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Down and Dirty is a sexy romp with a hero you’ll melt for and a relatable, sassy heroine you’ll love. If you’re a fan of steamy romances with laugh out loud moments, grab yourself a copy– you won’t regret it!

Kendall Ryan has done it again. Down and Dirty is the perfect continuation of the Hot Jocks series, and features a virgin hero. Talk about a unicorn.
When Landon and Aubree wake up married after a crazy night in Vegas, she wants an annulment immediately. He’s so much younger than her… and he can’t honestly want to give it a try, does he? Landon isn’t a quitter. He’s always felt an attraction to Aubree and wants to give this marriage his best shot. Is Aubree too closed off to be in a relationship? Is Landon too naive?
This book is sexy, flirty, and fun. I love how Landon is naive in some ways, and mature in others. Aubree, too. The two of them manage to achieve a balance, even if, on paper, they seem mismatched. There are some hilarious, laugh-out-loud moments, some steamy love scenes, and just enough angst to make the ending feel earned.
I pick a favorite hero and then Kendall goes and writes one that I love just a little more!
Sweet, Sexy, and Shy is how I would describe Landon. He has always had a crush on Aubree but never acted on it. While in Vegas for a joint bachelor/bachelorette weekend for mutual friends, the opportunity to spend more time with Aubree presents itself and Landon leaps at the opportunity. The next morning, the two wake up in the same bed and married. Aubree wants to have a quick annulment while Landon wants to stay married.
Can he convince that true love does exist and they are soul mates??
I devoured this book in one sitting and can’t wait to get my hands on the next one!!
Landon and Aubree’s story was great. I love the drunken Vegas wedding plot.
I really liked that fact that although Landon was a virgin, he wasn’t completely innocent. It made it more realistic to me. I loved that he refused to give up and him and Aubree and even though it wasn’t smooth sailing he was willing to put in the effort.
Aubree is successful, independent and doesn’t need a man to take up her time. Not only does she get a man, she gets a husband. A husband who won’t let her just walk away. She has some tough choices to make with her career and marriage.
I loved Landon and Aubree and their story. I can’t wait for Grant’s story now.
Really cute! I love me a sexy male virgin!
This was such a fun, sweet and sexy romance! What seemed to start out as a drunken, vegas mistake, turned out to be so much more. Landon is a young rookie with the Seattle Ice Hawks and Aubree works for the team’s charity organization. They are in Las Vegas along with all their friends from the team to celebrate a dual bachelor and bachelorette party. When Aubree wakes up the first morning after a night of partying, she learns she is more than hungover, she also has a huge rock on her finger and a new, sexy, younger husband! Landon is such a sweetheart. He has always been attracted to Aubrey, and now that they are married, he is completely committed to making it work. His Dad was in and out of relationships, so Landon is determined to be better. Aubree is unnerved by Landon’s kind and generous heart, and caught off guard by his virginity. But Landon isn’t all that innocent, when he shows her his deliciously dirty alpha side, giving her fiery pleasure she never experienced before. Aubree isn’t ready to commit to a relationship, but this sweet man takes care of her in unexpected ways, helping break down all her walls. But can they make their marriage work when their careers pull them in different directs?
I loved Emma Wilder and Jacob Morgan’s narration. Their comedic timing was perfect, and they easily made me feel all the turmoil, angst, fun, and passion between these characters. I was totally lost in their storytelling, and they made this funny, sexy, forbidden romance even more delightful!
Oh my, Landon is just perfect. I get goose bumps just thinking about some of his feelings in this book. Aubree is fun but I wish she would clue in a little bit faster, but of course then the story would not be what it is, which is perfect. The set up is fun and sweet and sexy. Their interaction and banter is also fun and sexy and sweet and sometimes some angry heat. Their individual pasts obviously play a part in who they are and how they act and react. The story is well written. All of the characters are fully developed and realistic. I love it. I am so ready for the next book and I’ll be back tracking it previous books.

I enjoyed this one a lot. I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I haven’t read many age gap romances where the guy was younger, but this was good. It was also a pleasant surprise for the woman to be the more experienced in some aspects compared to the man. I liked Landon a lot. He was a sweetheart, but was also a total alpha, and a little possessive. He wasn’t my favorite of the Hot Jocks, but I’d still date him.
Aubree (Bree) was also a good character. I loved her job, but I felt like we didn’t see much of her character in previous books. If we did, I didn’t remember her. Overall, I liked her, but I also felt like she held back with Landon a lot. I wanted them to dive into the relationship more.
That being said, I appreciated the genre mix between strangers-to-lovers and friends-to-lovers. They knew each other, but I wouldn’t say they did much together before they got married. One of my favorite things was seeing all the previous couples moving forward in their own love stories within this book. If you like sports romances, I recommend you check out this series.
What happens in Vegas NEVER stays in Vegas, Aubree and Landon’s wedding is no different. I loved Aubree waking up the next day and not remembering her wedding, but I found how Landon took his marriage so seriously right from the start even more perfect. The reverse age gap, while not huge, is so significant for Land0n’s perspective on marriage and relationships. Aubree and Landon did things backwards, but by no means did this diminish their love. Their unconventional love story is heartwarming, frustrating and so perfect for them! The Hot Jocks series is amazing and I think Landon is my new favorite teammate so far!
Down and Dirty is a new hot and fun romance that will knock you socks off!!! Aubrey and Landon were so perfectly un-perfect. They could not be anymore different, but they are each others missing pieces. They made my heart content and at times laughing with them. This story has a lot of highs and a little bit of lows. It was the perfect blend and that is why Kendall Ryan is and will always be a favorite author of mine <3 Get Down and Dirty today! It can be read as a standalone!!
I love Landon so so so much! I believe he is my favorite Hot Jock in the series! Down and Dirty was amazing and flawlessly written. The storyline kept me intrigued the whole story through. It was witty, sexy, funny, and heartfelt. Landon and Aubree have a quicky Vegas wedding and it just gets better from there. Landon is such a fighter when he finds something he wants. It took alot of that to turn the independent Aubree into a believer! That’s all the spoilers I’m going to give, but you aren’t going to want to miss this fight for love!
Next up in this awesome series is Landon’s book. Landon is a sexy, fun-loving rookie that has been saving himself for the right woman…she just doesn’t know it yet. Aubree is independent and not exactly looking for a husband but sometimes drunk decisions can be fate’s way of stepping in. This book was enjoyable and I really loved Landon’s personality and the way he fights for what he wants. He is so willing to give all of himself and believe in love. Aubree isn’t sure about their relationship and Landon has his work cut out for him to win her over. At times I found Aubree to be very frustrating but that might just be because Landon is the sweetest guy and deserves his happy ending. Jump in and fall in love with Landon. I am super excited for the next book in this series. Enjoy!!!
I seriously adored everything about this story. Landon was absolutely adorable and a fantastic gentleman. Aubree is a strong, independent woman but I loved seeing her transformation by the end of the story. Still strong but even stronger after letting Landon in. The storyline was sweet, steamy, and a beautiful romantic story.
I seriously loved Landon and Aubree’s story. These pages are jam packed with all the feels. Who would of thought a Vegas wedding would turn into something so much more? Watching these two fall in love was so swoon worthy. Waking up married wasn’t in Aubree’s plans and when she realizes who the man is laying next to her she feels like she made the worst mistake ever or maybe the best decision of her life?! Landon is the PERFECT MAN! Like seriously how could you not LOVE him??? Ladies this is a definite must read that will NOT disappoint!
For barely being above strangers and having a quickie wedding in Vegas, I loved the respect Landon and Aubree had for each other. I also liked that Landon was a virgin and that it wasn’t an “we’re married, so let’s consummate now” kind of thing. Obviously it wasn’t all hearts and roses, not that Landon didn’t try. I love that he was so sweet and attentive, even though that may have freaked me out too if I was in their shoes. I love that it was slow burn, and yet it was still sensual. I love that they made an effort to spend time with each other and got to know each other and that they didn’t automatically throw in the towel. This book was so good!
I loved this book so much! Aubree and Landon were so great together. One of my favorite tropes are accidental marriages and add in a virgin, and sign me up! This book had to be Kendall’s hottest book of the Hot Jocks’ series. I started it with the intention to just read a couple of chapters and I wasn’t able to put it down. I read it in one sitting and I regret nothing. This was such a fast read but packed with so much. I loved seeing the other couples and learn what they are all up to. It was nice that we got to see Owen and Becca’s wedding and meet Ana. I love this cast of characters so much and it’s so well done. I never feel overwhelmed with who everyone was since we met them in the first book and slowly have gotten to know them all through the last five books.
I loved Landon. He was so sweet, caring, and still an alpha even though he was a virgin. It didn’t mean he didn’t know what he was doing that’s for sure. He is my favorite Hot Jock now, sorry Teddy. I had some issues with Aubree though. I didn’t like how she didn’t tell Landon right away when she found out about the job. I hated how she let that drag on for so long during the whole of the book. Landon was willing to talk to her the moment he got big news but she held her news in. I understood some of her motives but I still didn’t think it was right. But overall, I enjoyed them as a couple and they were perfect together. The age gap wasn’t noticeable if I hadn’t been told Landon was only twenty-three. He was pretty mature for his age.
I cannot wait for Grant and Ana’s story in Wild for You!!
*I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. *
Waking up in Vegas married, been there done that many times in stories, but I have to say that this story is so much more. The growing relationship between Landon and Aubree is a sweet thrill. Not a blast in your face but a gradual coming together of two people that really makes your heart weep. I’ve been enjoying this series through audible and this is my first read of the series, narrator’s are great but limit the experience to the sound of emotion through the person reading, nothing wrong with that, but I really loved giving the characters voice in my own mind, really made the story great for me.

I devoured this! Older woman younger man. Love the whole age gap thing. Sexy, witty, dreamy and remarkable. Landon and Aubree are the perfect couple.
Kendall Ryan hit all the right buttons with this epic addition to the Hot Jocks series. Definitely recommend this swoon worthy book!

Landon And Aubree’s Story Is Refreshingly Different! His Patience And Determination Prove To Be Just What She Needs.
This is book five of the Hot Jocks series about the men of pro hockey’s Seattle Ice Hawks. Each book is a stand-alone romance. While characters reappear throughout the series, the books can be read individually or in any order. Seattle’s team is one of the best teams in the country. In book one, Justin Brady falls for his childhood best friend and current teammate’s little sister, Elise. Owen Parrish, Elise’s brother, gets his own story in book two, where the player finds love in his mousy friend Becca. Teammate Teddy King gets a second chance with his college study buddy, Sara, in book three. Asher Reed gets new medical resident Bailey to nurse him back health in the fourth book. Book 5.5 is a novelette. Rookie Morgen and his younger stepsister Isla finally give into the attraction they felt when their parents married a few years earlier. Here, book five pairs rookie Landon with older Aubree in a drunken Vegas wedding. Book six has the broken-hearted team captain and sulky man-to-the-rescue Grant finding love with Ana after saving her from a bad relationship with another teammate. In the seventh and last book of the series, Harper refuses to date players, but one with his sight set on her gets one chance to change her mind when he wins her company in an auction.
Aubree Derrick, thirty, saw the error of her mother’s ways and vowed never to depend upon a man. The fiery and fiercely independent beauty was hired by the Ice Hawk’s charity organization right out of college. She has worked her way up the ladder and is now the program’s director in charge of fund-raising. They work with underprivileged kids who are invariably in awe when they get the opportunity to meet and learn from the pro hockey players. She finds the work very rewarding. The hours are long and the pay keeps her reliant upon her budgeting skills, but life is good.
Outside of work, Aubree enjoys yoga and hanging out with her girlfriends, most of which are dating or friends with the Ice Hawks. A relationship has always taken the backseat to her career, so she has only dated casually over the years. In the back of her mind, though, she recognizes that most of the good men her age have been taken.
Landon Covington, a.k.a. Lovey, is an old soul. The twenty-three year old rookie for the Seattle Ice Hawks has withstood a year of pranks with flying colors. His Midwestern good boy vibes make him easy to get along with – not to mention the fact that he volunteers regularly to be the designated driver after a night of drinking with his teammates. Landon has been dedicated to hockey for years, so the sacrifice is nothing.
His entry-level contract offered him no future guarantees, so he couldn’t afford any distractions or problems during the season. He has made good friends in his teammates and Seattle feels like home, but with the little ice time he got during the season he sees the writing on the wall. The floor is about to drop out from under him. If he is lucky another team will pick him up; otherwise, he might find himself in a minimum wage job, living with his dad.
In the off season, Landon finds himself in a Vegas club amongst his close friends. Owen and Becca from book two of the series are marrying in two weeks, on June 12, so the crew charted a private jet and headed to Sin City for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. With the season behind him and an uncertain future, Landon sulks in a booth alone. The sacrifice made over the years is weighing heavily, and watching Aubree’s horrible attempts at dancing does nothing to tamp his attraction to her. When Aubree joins him at the table, they continue drinking as they fall into easy conversation.
When Landon and Aubree wake up married the next morning, their reactions couldn’t be more different. Aubree’s panic turns to anger, while Landon wants to see if what they have is real. Landon saw his father marry and divorce four times and never wanted to become his dad. With his future on the line, he holds onto hope that he can convince his new wife to sincerely give their marriage a chance. Aubree knows Landon is truly a good man, but thinks the idea of making it work is ridiculous. The seven year age difference is a big stumbling block for her, while Landon’s kind and generous gestures put her more on edge as she struggles to keep her distance and maintain her independence. To top it all off, she has an opportunity that she can’t refuse, one that Owen won’t like. Convinced the marriage will end in an annulment, she doesn’t see the need to tell him.
Landon and Aubree’s story is refreshingly different. Landon is a total sweetheart. His patience and determination prove to be just what Aubree needs in a relationship. She is quite difficult and rude, and it is a miracle Landon sticks around. They each have to work through career-related issues while they meander through their non-traditional courtship. At the same time, each comes to the marriage with the intention of not repeating the mistakes of their parents. For Landon that means one marriage. Aubree’s intention of maintaining independence, however, has her pulling away. The couple eventually earns a lovely HEA. NOTE: this series comes to an end after book seven, but this book leaves open the possibility of a spin-off series.
Landon and Aubree’s journey takes them from a drunken wedding in Vegas to a loving marriage thanks to Landon’s determination to find love. The story is nicely written. The plot is nicely developed. The characters are well-defined. The presence of characters from other books in the series is a pleasant addition. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Landon and Aubree. I rate this book four stars.

What a wonderful funny story!!! Landon is a rookie pro hockey player and he is invited to a bachelor/bachelorette Vegas weekend with his friends from the team . He wakes up after one drunken night married to Aubree! She panics over the fact but he takes everything in stride and tries to make this marriage work. Can they trust each other with their secrets and make it work? I would say this is the best Kendall Ryan book I have read, it is witty, sexy entertaining and so heartwarming!

This is the story of Landon and Aubree. While it’s part of the Hot Jocks series, it can be read as a standalone.
Landon and Aubree/Bree are in Vegas as part of the pre-wedding celebrations for Owen and Becca. After a night of drinking, she wakes up the next morning and sees the ring on her finger. Aubree panics and believes it’s a mistake—she’s always been independent and doesn’t see herself as someone fit for marriage. Landon, on the other hand, wants to give it a shot. After all, how does he know it’s a mistake if they don’t try. He’s been saving himself for the right girl, and for him, Bree checks all the boxes.
There are so many things I loved about this one. The writing flows smoothly and the dialogue is natural. There’s fun, humor, smexy times, and tons of emotion. Then there’s Landon. I absolutely LOVED him. While he’s a virgin, he’s not a saint. He’s level-headed, a hard worker, confident, and knows what he wants. And he wants Aubree. There’s an obvious attraction from the very beginning that slowly builds as the story progresses. The chemistry between them is always at a constant simmer. I loved that Bree didn’t jump Landon the moment she found out the hottie alpha was a virgin. Because when it finally happened, it was beautifully written with the perfect balance of romance and steam. Then, it’s full steam ahead. There’s an ease between them that leaps off the page and has you cheering them on to make it work. They are rock solid, and you can’t help but finish with a smile on your face.
/I received an advanced edition of this book. This did not affect my opinion of the story or content of my review./
