Can one human handle two alpha werewolves? Brian Holt is about to find out…Brian never fantasized about being claimed by a werewolf. The appeal is obvious—werewolves tend toward unfairly attractive in that whole ruggedly handsome and muscle-bound way—but being chosen is the kind of thing that only happens to people on the news. It’s like winning the lottery or falling into a sinkhole. It’s not … falling into a sinkhole. It’s not something that would realistically happen to him.
Except it did, and then the werewolf changed his mind.
Three years after being told that choosing him was a mistake, Brian is trying to get on with his life when news spreads that there’s a werewolf on campus. Hiding away in his apartment, the very last thing Brian expects is for the stud to come knocking on his door…
(This 100k romance novel features two scorching hot alpha werewolves with a kink-list three pages long, a confused young man, and more secrets than you can shake a stick at. It has a HEA.)

Please be aware that this book is NOT for everyone. There is rough, kinky sex that some people may not be comfortable with. Read the warnings and do not read this if those warnings make you uncomfortable.
I adore this book – it worked for me on every level – from the sex to the storyline. Double Trouble is exactly the kind of trouble I look for in my books. It’s dark, sexy, and unapologetic. This book has some of the best, kinkiest, and most erotic sex that I’ve read this year. Abe and Hunter are werewolves who need their submissive, human mate, Brian. From the moment they meet until the very end, the chemistry between Abe, Hunter, and Brian crackles with energy that delighted me. And oh my, the sex! I love to read about kinky, twisted, BDSM relationships and sex. The dirtier, the grittier, the darker, the better in my opinion. I don’t need my sex scenes to be realistic, I just want them to be hot. If I wanted reality, I’d watch a documentary or read non-fiction. Instead of boring me with restrained and watered down sex scenes, D.J. Heart goes all out. He’s not afraid of writing about kinks that most authors don’t explore – something I’m so thankful he does. And he does it so well.
Besides the amazing sex, I also really enjoyed the relationship that grew between Brian and his Alphas. At first, Brian was more of a concept to be dominated than a real person, but the Alphas quickly changed their tune, and real love soon developed between all three of them. I also loved the alternate world D.J. Heart created. I found it very interesting how the werewolf politics shaped the story and I would love to read more about this universe (with the same scorching level of kinky sex, please).
Overall Rating: 5 Stars. The writing is wonderful, the plot was fun and exciting, and the sex was beyond amazing. I fell in love with the characters and I was so sad to say goodbye to them when the book ended. I hope D.J. Heart writes a sequel to this book. I highly recommend this book to people who love kinky, dirty, and rough BDSM sex with D/s elements.
Wow! This was unique among all of the books that I’ve read by D.J. Heart. When I first read the synopsis, I was expecting something like the ‘Evan’s Alphas’ books – which I loved and would highly recommend. But Brian, Abe, and Hunter had such a different dynamic that this book really blew me away.
I loved that while Abe was the alpha in their wee pack, Hunter was the glue that kept them together, and Brian was brought in as an equal partner as well as a submissive. It was gratifying to see that while the werewolves had the option to make Brian a mindless toy, they both recognized that the fantasy would destroy much of what they loved most about their mate.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
