They’d always called her a bitch. But she didn’t think that was a bad thing.Bitches were strong, tough AF, spoke their minds, and definitely didn’t take any crap from anyone. So when anyone called Olivia a bitch, she took it as the best type of compliment. She was strong and tough, never hesitated to speak her mind, and was about as far away from a pushover as one could get.Great for her job—she’d … get.
Great for her job—she’d become a VP at Prestige Media Group, managing some of the best athletes in the world and she was excellent at her career of choice.
Great for her bank account—it was flush, and she could live well on her salary, even in expensive San Francisco.
Not so great for her love life.
Turned out that most guys weren’t super into women who could take care of themselves, women who didn’t need rescuing. Either that, or they wanted her to take care of them, including every night out and sometimes even rent. Now, she didn’t mind paying her fair share, but that’s where she drew the line. Her fair share. As in, she was looking for a partner, not an owner or, worse, to be someone’s mother.
She wanted an equal. But she’d all but given up on finding that.
Until, Cole.
Cole was about as far away from Olivia’s city girl polish as one could get. A retired hockey player, he wore jeans to her suits, cowboy boots to her heels, ate simple food to her gourmet. Hell, he lived on a ranch half the year.
And yet . . . he also challenged her mind. Never gave her an inch. Not to mention, he was gorgeous, kind, incredibly insightful and always, always, called her on her B.S.
He’d done it when she’d been his agent, and continued to do it every time they talked.
The only difference now was that she was no longer his agent and so Olivia was faced with the age-old question . . .
Did she play it safe or take a leap of faith?

I wanted to know about Olivia’s past way before we found out what all happened to her. Cole was very patient and slow with her. When they finally figured everything out it was perfect. To read this book it might help to have read the short story/some of the Gold Hockey books.
Lots of steam from two good people who found each other at the right time.
Wow, this packed a punch! I loved the delicious tension between Olivia and Cole and how their story unfolded. Olivia is the definition of strong female and Cole celebrates and cherishes her strength. It was so refreshing to see a strong female character remain strong and true to self, even after falling in love. Cole’s lines to Olivia, especially about armor, might be my favorite ever! They really struck a chord within me and had me falling more in love with the characters. The story itself is pretty quick so there isn’t a lot of depth or complexity, but I did like the subtle tie-ins to her other series. I really enjoyed the book, but was left wishing for more because I loved it so much. If you’re looking for a quick, straightforward romance, give this a try!
What a book. I absolutely love this storyline. It is not only unique and different but has two amazing characters that you cant help but love. Olivia is hard working, takes no punches, quite the women. Most people call her a “bitch”. But there is one person a client that wants her for her. The person she is on the inside. Cole enjoys living on his ranch. Nothing something that he could ever see Olivia doing . But he wants Olivia more than he wants anything. There is just something about her. These two get the chance to see what is between them when Olivia ends up out in the woods struck with Cole for the night. But will things work out for them? Will Olivia be able to see past the fact that Cole is her client? Will Cole be able to get Olivia to see that there is more to life than just work and no play? I loved this very unique storyline. These two absolutely made this book so unique. I loved it and cant wait to read the rest in the series.
I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
This is a short story, more Novella sized. It stars Olivia, who is the B-tch or really just a kick ass sports agent but some men use the B word to call her that because she is a tough cookie,
She has known Cole for over ten years and he has a MAJOR thing for her but she has never seen interested until one day the loneliness gets to her and she seeks him out and fireworks occur.
This was a really great story, well written and some really adorable characters. Lots of sex scenes, I would prob have rather had more story and less sex scenes but I still really loved the story and every single character.
I loved this story! It was a relatively quick read for me but had so much unexpected heart and emotion to it! Both Cole and Olivia were strong characters who already had a history in a past life (lol) so their dynamic wasn’t new. It made the quickness of the story more realistic and enjoyable for me. I did find one plot inconsistency when I read the story, but it really wasn’t something major, so I barely caught it. I enjoy this author’s voice and style and I’m looking forward to Cougar coming out soon!!
Straight up heat between these two right from the start. I loved that Olivia was shown as a take charge woman with a tough exterior. She has a softer side but doesn’t show it to anyone because she doesn’t want to be seen as weak. Cole does his best to break through her hard exterior in the hopes that she feels the same way he does. This was a fantastic story and a quick read, at least it went fast for me because I couldn’t put it down.
Olivia is known as a bitch in certain circles, but she doesn’t take it personally. No, in fact, she embraces the term because to her it means she is strong and takes no shit from anyone, especially men who underestimate her, men like her newest, terrible, assistant. But Cole, one of her clients (her favorite if she were pressed), doesn’t appreciate anyone calling her that. To him, it’s a sign of disrespect for a woman he has far more than client/agent like feelings for. Not that he’s expressed those feelings. Not that he ever will…
Until she takes a little trip to his ranch with the intent of telling him something her boss just has to let him know, and out come a whole lotta feelings that it seems both of them have had bottled up inside for years. Will this tough, take no prisoners woman allow this sweetheart of a cowboy into her heart where he really wants to be?
Bitch is a decidedly sweet story, in direct contrast to its title. I love how adorable Cole is with Olivia, recognizing she needs not an aggressively alpha beast, but rather a more gentle approach to win over her heart. And I love that Olivia, while seemingly tough on the outside, is really just a super smart woman who’s had to become hardened on the outside to succeed in the male dominated world she works in. It’s definitely a case of opposites attract, and done really, really well.
Olivia and Cole
The title is illustrative. Yes, Olivia is a bitch. But it’s a case of ” barking dogs don’t bite”. She’s bitchy because she is a very unsecure person. Is she able to go through her stuff to find stability in her heart to let Cole in ?
It’s a hart piece of work for her. Cole is adorable. He shows confidence and love. And he is patient. Olivia has done everything to succeed, no vulnerability on the outside. But inside she wants to be loved. I loved these opposites in their characters. My heart melted with Olivia’s attempts to trust Cole and – much more important – herself. To let her guard down and feelings in her heart.
This is a very special book, Olivia and Cole are always able to talk to each other so there’s no misunderstanding in having old behaviors. I adored that. Elise Fabers writing style is always clear and on the point. I love the way she talks about problems throughout her books, that every reader knows but dont want to talk about.
I loved Olivia and Cole’s story! It was fantastic! Both Olivia and Cole were attracted to each other, but Cole was Olivia’s client and she wasn’t going to cross that line. Once he was no longer her client maybe they could be together. They were perfect together! Their chemistry was off the charts hot! Will Olivia let her guard down and give Cole a chance? I enjoyed this book very much and I think the Chauvinist Stories series is going to be fantastic!
This is the 1st in a new series from this gifted author and is Olivia and Cole’s story. Cole is a retired hockey player, and Olivia used to be his agent, and despite being total opposites, the chemistry between them is explosive. Olivia is used to getting what she wants but Cole challenges her at every turn. No spoilers: this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written tale which is intriguing and entertaining, and I was totally enthralled throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all.
Elise Faber has written a new series called Chauvinist Stories and this is book 1 called Bitch. We get Olivia and Cole’s story. They are business acquaintances – she was his agent when he played pro hockey. There was a good amount of chemistry between them due to their business connection together yet neither acted on the personal feelings. Fast forward to the now and Cole is retired from the pro while Olivia is also free and any entanglements.
Will they finally get their chance to pursue a relationship? Will Olivia let her softer side out? Cole and Olivia have great chemistry and this is a good start to a new series by Ms. Faber. Cole’s a great hero because he doesn’t come off as weak while at the same time he lets Olivia be strong and weak. Great read, guaranteed to start the day or night off right.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
I really enjoyed this story. Olivia is a strong woman that takes no crap from anyone. She’s a successful business woman and VP for a media group. Cole is a retired hockey player, a sweet man, and loves the simple things in life. I loved Olivia and Cole together and they had amazing chemistry. A fantastic read from start to finish and one I highly recommend.
I thought that this was a very enjoyable read. Cole and Olivia were very likable characters and they made a great pairing. I loved their differences, their long buried attraction and the amazing chemistry they shared. I found the book easy to read and it held my attention well. Overall I thought that this was a very fun and emotional read. This is my candid, freely posted review.
Elise Faber will rock your world with her latest book “Bitch”. Don’t let the title fool you. This book will pull at your heartstrings and will have you screaming at the top of your lungs internally as you fight against all the feelings this books title and main characters will bring you.
Olivia is a beautifully damaged masterpiece. She is broken and put back together again and is completely unapologetic for it. She is incredible.
Cole is a dream. He is a man in every sense of the word both inside and out. He exudes confidence and love. You will swoon over this retired hockey player turned cowboy Hard.
Together they are magic. You will love them.
TBR this fantastic book and enjoy. And to Elise – well done, well done. (I read an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
In life sometimes the greatest strength is allowing ourselves to be weak. Faber takes on stereotypes, romance and sexism in a hardcore kind of way. Olivia is a character that knows what she wants, is determined to get it and has no fear in her approach to succeed. That all changes when it comes to falling in love. Is she secure enough to find her vulnerable side when it comes to matters of the heart? Bitch is a contradiction that seems like an enigma, but makes perfect sense.
There are worse things you can be called. Olivia is a strong woman who takes no crap from anyone. Cole is a beautiful soul. These two are fire even mixed together. The chemistry is out of this world. Love Elise’s books.
If you love strong women that will not take crap from anyone then you will love Bitch. Olivia doesn’t mind being what she is to people. It gives her power to bring up her shield to hid behind. Cole is a sweet heart. I love him and how careful he is to approach Olivia and how he stands up for her because he sees more then her shield. I love the chemistry between Oliva and Cole. They are hot together. I love the changes in Olivia when it comes to Cole. This is the first book in the Chauvinist stories and I so can’t wait for more.
Wonderful storyline and engaging read. Heavy on sex and the F word. Strong characters with a happily ever after.
Loved this book! Olivia and Cole were both attracted to one another but he was her client. Now after 10 years he’s not. But as attracted as she is because of her past she doesn’t feel deserving of a man as good as Cole. The story is their journey, and it is lovely. Such good characters and full of love.
