Come to Silver Hills. Where petting a cat can be a death sentence and yoga is all about survival. Silver Hills Senior and Singles Residence isn’t exactly a boring place. Home to a death predicting cat named Tolstoy, a night manager who may or may not suck blood and float above the floor, a cook with mad voodoo and pie baking powers, and a trio of nosy sleuths who are determined to get to the … determined to get to the bottom of the corpse in the library (maybe literally)…some might say things couldn’t get any weirder. Some would be wrong.

Fun story all the way through.
I had a problem with the title. Then as I started reading, well, I became concerned about the darn cat…but once you grasp the concept that it’s all in fun, it’s easy to enjoy the story even if the characters, are a bit on the strange side, like the title, and the cat. Read it and then decide.
Couldn’t stop laughing Great read Highly recommend!!!!!
A good cozy read, the Russian title must be because the first murder victim is a Russian immigrant. Yegor is working in the kitchen at Silver Hill, home to Flo and Agnes, and they decide to investigate his murder. The book has lots of red herrings and lots of suspects. It is not until the last pages that the author ties everything together and reveals the murderer.
I laughed out loud!
This was a fun read. Flo and Agnes are not your typical crime solving duo and the interactions they have with each other and the other characters are hilarious. This book has a little bit of everything; death, intrigue, mystery, and plot twists. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Agnes Willard and her male green-eyed orange stripped cat named Tolstoy lived at Silver Hills home. Her friend Florence Bee swore the cat could predict someone’s death. Florence called Tolstoy “The Grim Reaper.” So far 10 people had died. Flo swore all the cat had to do was look at you or sit on your chest and you would die because Tolstoy was at the scene of all the deaths. Who will be number 11?
A entertaining cozy mystery.
Ho hum.
Showed all old ladies aren’t sticks in the mud!
I love these books and always on the lookout for the next one, great reading
I didn’t even get to chapter 2. Totally not to my taste. Poorly written and patronizing.
The main characters live in a 55+ community. The mystery centers around stolen drugs.
Was a great read loved it
Another book where I read this out of sequence. I need to pay more attention to the fact that a book is NOT first in a series.
It was a nice, cozy mystery.
did not hold my attention
Not my cup of tea.
I really enjoyed this read, it had me laughing so hard at times I was teary. What a fun addition to a ordinary day!
A quick, fun read.
Certainly light reading. The reader has to look passed weak plot and silly behavior
