A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder. A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order. My name is Lottie Lemon and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly … people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owners impending doom.
It’s Noah’s birthday, and I’m throwing him a surprise party down at Honey Lake. But before we can dive into that donut tower of a birthday cake, I happen to stumble upon another body. Someone very close to Noah has been murdered. And to top it all off, my relationships with Noah and Everett are about to change forever.
Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.

Every time! Addison Moore is my hero. I really don’t know how she whips up these books in no time flat! Each and every time, I am completely sucked in and fall in love with the characters.
The Murder in the Mix series has become a favorite of mine! I absolutely love Lottie, Essex, and Noah. Of course another murder happens and Lottie is right in the middle of it. Lottie and Essex are quite the team but I love how Noah never gives up and keeps fighting for Lottie. He fights for her heart and to keep her out of jail!
I am still hoping and holding out for Lottie to be with both Essex and Noah! Sorry … Not Sorry, but I cant decide between the two and Lottie loves them both. I am really interested to find out what happens when Noah’s divorce is actually finalized. Things are going to go down! In the mean time, I am here along for this roller coaster of a ride.
I love Addison Moore books…don’t pass these up!!
Suitable for ages 12+
Lottie Lemon is a baker in a small town called Honey Hollow. Lottie sees dead pets who warn her of a coming murder and stick around to help her. Lottie is also in a love triangle with Noah and his brother Everett.
This book was recommended to me by a friend and I liked the paranormal aspect of it. I did not like this one book though. It was repetitive, like the cheating thing was repeated multiple times, the Cormack situation was repeated several times and there were others. I liked the talking deceased animals, but other than that, I found this story to be uninteresting and dull.
This is another great addition to the series. I am not sure how Addison Moore does it. Each book is awesome in its own way. They are not cookie cutter duplicates of the book that came before it. They may have a common thread, the love triangle, Lottie’s ability to communicate with the dead, animal or person, and her penchant for finding dead bodies. Each story is its own. You sink into them and the characters you come to love and can’t wait to see what happens next. This is one of these series that you are going to be sad it ends and will go back and read over and over.
As an avid reader it is always great to find a series that delivers a quality storyline and characters book after book. In Donut Disaster Addison Moore delivers yet again! Each book in the Murder in the Mix series is just as good as the previous books. You want to keep reading even though you don’t want to reach the end. Even though Lottie has a supernatural gift, her character contains depth and realism. The love triangle between her, Noah, and Everett takes twists and turns that can leave you picking favorites and holding your breath with the suspense of how things will play out. I can’t wait to read the next book!

First of all I have to confess that I’m not into paranormal nor into mystery romance, but I have read the 3:AM series from Addison Moore and loved it, so I was giving this book a chance. It’s very clear to me that Addison Moore is a very talented writer, as how can a mystery romance can be light and funny? Well, Donut Disaster is, and so much more! The main character, Lottie, seems to have everything in doubles: parents, sisters, adopted and biological, and even boyfriends! And amazingly it doesn’t sound obnouxious or fake and her character is a very down to earth even when she sees and talks with pet ghosts. I only wish I have had read the first books in the series as sometimes it was hard to memorize the same of the whole bunch of characters. If you enjoy rom com with a spice of mystery and paranormal this book is for you. Enjoy!
This was a very cute story. It had humor and twist and turns. However, I feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous books. I felt like I was thrown into the book missing many parts from the previous. I would still recommend this because it was very cute and had some funny and sweet moments!
This is a stand-alone book but if you are going to read this one you will want to read all the ones that come before it as they are just as amazing and help you get to know all of the characters in this book.
Lottie and the gang decide to throw Noah a surprise party at Honey lake and of course, there is a body to be found. There are lots of people around so that means there are lots of people who could have done it. Lottie and the gang spend lots of time searching for the murderer. In the end, they catch the murderer as they always do. They just have lots of places to go to search, and lots of interesting things happen while they are looking.
All I can say is that you are going to enjoy this book as much as you did any of the rest..

Fantastic read. Well written with a great plot and characters. I was absorbed from beginning to end. I love getting to visit Honey Hollow. Lottie Lemon has her hands full once again. She has a new bakery, a love triangle with Noah and Everett, she sees ghosts of deceased animals and on occasion a human ghost(the ghosts help Lottie solve the murders), and she usually discovers a dead body and then proceeds to solve a murder…..she kinda has a knack for it! These books can be read as a stand-alone but I Highly recommend reading them in order…..I love this series and can’t wait to read the next book! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
I could not wait to read this book and I was not disappointed! Lottie Lemon is back at finding bodies and accosting killers. She is really the only chance the deceased or their loved ones have at justice. I always enjoy the murder mystery part of these books but the love triangle has got me hooked! Lottie is still trying to make a decision between Noah and Everett. They are both so loving and understanding to her needs it is almost unbelievable. The love story line in this book was more of a feel good one that I enjoyed reading and it did not leave me on pins and needles like the last one. I think my heart needed a break anyway! Lol However, you will be left with a suspenseful cliffhanger. Something is brewing in Honey Hallow and I can not wait to find out all about it in the next book!
Absolutely amazing book. It will suck you in and keep you begging for more
I cannot get enough of this series and this book does not disappoint! Addison Moore very cleverly has brought these characters to life and I feel like they are my best friends!
Lottie Lemon is a baker who has one too many suitors and a knack for solving murder mysteries. She has this supernatural power that lets her communicate with the dearly departed pets or loved ones of the victim and they help with solving their murder. Though she may have a knack at solving those, her love life is a different situation. She is torn between two very sexy and smart men and she can’t quite decide on who she would settle on! Oh, and the ladies that have been linked with the men before Lottie are quite enjoyable haha!
I have been reading this series from the start and the characters feel like my friends now! Every single one of them have a purpose to the story. Even the dearly departed are getting a spot in my heart! This has been no different from the earlier books. Every chapter is enjoyable and it is a page turner! Though it is a series, every book can be read as a stand alone.
Another murder at Noahs birthday party has Lottie back in investigative mode. Bit its hard to focus while her heart is splitting into. Everrett decides now that Noahs divorce is final that Lottie should explore her feelings for Noah once and for all. Things are definitely complicated to say the least! With a decision to make between two gorgeous men and a new murderer to bring to justice, Lottie is feeling the pressure. Yep, just another day in Honey Hollow for Lottie Lemon.

Addisons writing drags me in like Lottie lemon knows how to keep her customers coming back to her delicious baked confections. I am so in love with the characters of these books both the living and the dearly departed.
Lottie has a knack for solving murders, her love life though is still up for questions.
All through the books I find myself talking out loud to the characters, they feel like old friends every time I open a new Murder in the Mix book. Not to mention I want to spend time in Honey Hollow!
I always like to add for these books that yes they are stand alone novels, but I can not suggest enough that you hold up back up and start from the beginning. Trust me, it’s so worth the back ground information.
Till we meet again in Honey Hollow, I’m going to try and decide if I’m team Noah or team Everett!
Addison just keeps winning with the Murder in the Mix series!! In her newest addition, Donut Disaster, the suspect list is higher and mightier than we have seen yet!! The characters keep growing, and we keep learning more about them. Along with the recently deceased and the suspect list, that is.
I have said it before, but I will most certainly say it again. I tend to pride myself on being able to figure out who the killer is before the big reveal. Donut Disaster had me fooled, BIG TIME. By the time it was all said and done and the killer was revealed, I was shocked!! I had it all wrong! Definitely worth a read, or two!! I gave it two! 5 stars for sure!! Addison keeps killing me with these books, I cannot seem to put them down!!
Seriously, donut pass this book up!!
I fell in love with Lottie Lemon, Honey Hollow and all the characters in the first book and I’m still in love with them. If Honey Hollow was a real place I would definitely have to schedule a visit. As is, it’s not, so I will have to settle for visiting it through the pages of the stories, many times over. The characters in this series are amazing, witty, funny and sometimes relatable. I am really enjoying the journey that the author takes me on with each new story in the series and I look forward to reading many more pages/books. Well done to the author.
This was my first Murder in the Mix book but I’m a huge fan of Addison’s 3AM Kisses series. This book had a lot going on with a ton of continuing characters that add so much depth to the story. She does a great job filling new readers in so you can jump in and feel like you know what’s going on with everyone, mostly lol. I look forward to going back and seeing what all I’ve been missing out on!

Not often does a book leave me speechless but once again Addison manages to do just that with this ending! Never have I been so anxious for a next book, nor have I have been so emotionally invested in a series! While this latest trip of Honey Hollow is a more mellow trip, there is still plenty of shock and awe to keep you on your toes and will definitely keep you guessing until the very end!
