Who killed Jack Sullivan?Welcome to Hamlet. Population: 192.
You can’t find it on any map, GPS, or directions site. A small village tucked between a mountain and a valley, Hamlet is the sort of place where everyone knows everyone—and their business, too. There’s no television. No internet. No phones. Only one way in and, for the locals, barely any way out. The sheriff is the law, the only doctor … the law, the only doctor moonlights as the coroner, and outsiders hardly ever come to town.
Murders are even rarer.
A treacherous storm, a flat tire, and a touch of serendipity causes Tessa Sullivan and her husband Jack to stumble upon the narrow strait that leads into Hamlet. It was supposed to be a one night stop until the rain let up and Jack could figure out how to fix the tire—until Tess lands herself in the local jail cell overnight and Jack is found dead in their hotel room the next morning.
There’s no doubt it was murder, but with Sullivan’s gentle wife having an airtight alibi, the sheriff has to wonder: who had any cause to kill the outsider? And is he the only victim?
Dr. De Angelis doesn’t think so. Neither does Deputy Walsh. With Tess looking more and more like the killer’s next target, both men take the time to comfort and protect the young widow. But only one of them is sincere. The other just wants her to himself now that her husband is out of the way.
Alone and afraid, who can she trust?
* Don’t Trust Me is a full-length murder mystery/ domestic thriller novel (85,000+ words) set in Hamlet, a cozy small town in the middle of nowhere—where everyone knows your name and, even so, no one is safe…

Not sure. Really liked the twist at end.
Surprise ending
Just not my taste
When Tessa and her husband decide to have a second honeymoon, it looks like bad luck that they should get a flat along the way. The only thing close to the stretch of road they’re on is a small town named Hamlet. It seems peaceful enough until Tess finds her husband murdered.
So wow, I’m left breathless by this story. I certainly misjudged a handful of these characters, and I absolutely love that. So many of them had two different sides of them, and it is a homage to the author’s talent to only show one side until the very end. I definitely didn’t guess who the killer was. I kept listening, confident that I would figure it out, but I didn’t until it was told to me.
I liked the MC Tessa. She was sweet and easy to relate to. It seemed all the characters in Hamlet had their quirks at first. The longer the book went on though, the more the darker parts started to seep through the cracks.
The scenery was well-described too. I think she did a fantastic job of really describing not only the town, but what the atmosphere is like in such a tiny town. It made the book that much more immersive.
Narration fit the story perfectly.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
A great listen. This is a very compelling story. That grabs you and has you on the edge of your seat. I Love how the Author brings out the Characters in this read. And the surroundings. It is kind of a Mystery to me I love books that are kind of to me as putting a puzzle together as you read the story. The Narrator does a fantastic job with the voices as well. And the Author did a great job at that I highly recommend. It is packed with Twists and turns as well.

What a story! I always love a book that keeps me in suspense till the very end. Story is original and clever, though it was rather comical and mind boggling at times, such as how so many people, including men and women could either fall madly in love in one day or become a seemingly best friend in one or two days. Still well worth the read.
Wow! What a complicated, mysterious, unusual story. Definitely a page-turner. This was my first Jessica Lynch book and I’m hooked. There was no way to predict how this story ended. In addition to an outstanding suspense story, the characters in this quirky little town are fascinating as well. The town is actually one of the characters. Can’t wait to read the next book!
Didn’t see the ending coming. Enjoyed it but didn’t care for the writing. Some of it was predictable and some characters felt cliche.
I couldn’t finish it. It’s difficult to continue reading about people who make one stupid decision after another…pretty soon you don’t care what happens to them.
I did not like this book at all. I could not finish it because I did not like the characters and found the plot to be improbable.
Wow – I would have never guessed and I am pretty good at figuring the endings out long before the final pages. You have to keep reading this one.
It was like reading Agatha Christy! Great book
did not see the ending coming like it did. quick, easy read
It took awhile to grab me but eventually it did and was worth finishing.
I enjoyed reading this book. About mid or 3/4 way through, the book was a little slow. The story line became a little drawn out; however, it ended totally different than I expected.
Great ending!
the only mystery I got wrong before the ending. good job
Really liked this book. Quite a shock at the end..
Well, I didn’t see that coming! Very strange town and some odd characters. I am happy the way the book ended.
Characters were stiff and not realistic. Did have some twists
