Way too much profanity. Quite after 9%. Teague needs to clean it up before I read anything of his other books.
Would recommend reading all three in the series.
I would have given a higher rating except for the language and the sex scenes and overall sexual references. The story was excellent and the writing was good.
Not the way I thought it would end. Good writing.
This was a decent psychological thriller, with a bit of an overused plotline. When Pete, whose marriage. to Meg is on the rocks, goes out of town for business, he ends up having a one-night-stand. From there, the story starts becoming a little convoluted. I don’t post spoilers, as a rule, so all I can say is that the tale gets a bit rushed toward the last third of the book, with the author trying to compress too much information into the final pages, this hopefully creating a nice tidy ending. Oh wait, this is only the first book in a trilogy? How much more can there be?
Very good read…the ending??? Whoa!
Edge of my seat all the way!
Can’t wait to read the whole series
When the book first began we were told one mistake caused so many deaths. I thought yeah right!!! But as it unfolds, yes it was one dumb mistake that caused so much carnage.
Hard to follow.., bounces back and forth between too many characters and eludes to many things that don’t come to pass.
Great story line. Couldn’t put it down!!
I thought it was OK. I also thought if I heard “Meg” one more time I would scream.
Great ending.
Excellent convoluted plot twists.
Started slow but really caught my attention and kept me rivited toward the end
After a few pages, I almost put this one down thinking it would be a boring trip through the writer’s emotional guilt over having an affair. Then, once the murder plot started to unfold, I stayed up all night glued to the book until I read it all. As it turned out, the poignant perspective on “the affair” was what left me the most affected.
I enjoyed reading this book. I found it quite compelling. It’s pretty well written and the characters are memorable. The story line is good.
I was looking forward to reading this but unfortunately I just could not get into the story or the characters.
Did not like it.
There were too many twists and turns in the story. it did not capture my attention.
I did like this book. It was well written and got my attention right away. Good reading for a bold night?
