“I laughed (a lot), cried (a little), and wanted to stab a certain family member. This story brings all the feels!” –Renee George, USA Today Bestselling AuthorIt’s Christmas Eve and Violet Parker has one request on her list for Santa—to make it home to her kids. Unfortunately, “home” is also the lair of her life-long nemesis, her sister Susan (aka the devil’s concubine).Standing in Violet’s way … concubine).
Standing in Violet’s way is Old Man Winter, who slammed the Black Hills with a show-stopping blizzard. However, a little snow isn’t going to ground her sleigh, not with family counting on her to deliver Santa’s goods.
Trying to keep Christmas from turning into a candy cane calamity, Violet battles her demons and struggles through the chaos storming around her.
Can she make it through the holiday without cracking anyone’s nut?
“Keep your fingers crossed this whole holiday doesn’t blow up in our faces.” –Violet Parker

Christmas at the Parkers
What a great holiday read! I love the insight into Violet’s family life and learning about the tumultuous relationship she has with her sister. There are good times and bad times, laughter, crying, smiles, hatred, love, and forgiveness all rolled into one great story during a huge snow storm and Christmas. You will not be disappointed in this book. Now I can’t wait for book 11.
Fun books!
The Deadwood Mystery was good as usual. The characters are charming, funny, and great. This book didn’t have any ghost in it, but it did not disappoint.
I love this series
If you know this series, the ending is a Christmas miracle in itself. Her sister Susan, the sister from Hell sinks to a new low and the family comes together to deal with it. Doc and Violet sizzle and all the crew is together for Christmas.
I am a male, but, I have bought, and read, and enjoyed, all of her books. She is a crack-up writer. If you get started reading these books, you have to have them all. GREAT characters inside. SEX, inside. Ah shucks, just buy them, you ‘ll enjoy them.
It’s Christmas time hilarity as Violet tries to make it to her parent’s house and to her kids for the holiday while trying to keep her calm knowing that the demon that her parents call her sister is waiting to pounce!
This is her and Doc’s first Christmas together and her nerves are already rattled knowing her sister has already been sniffing around, and with their history, there is no telling what hell the woman is going to conjure up!
It takes a village, well her entire circle of friends at least, to help Violet battle Old Man Winter and her inner demons to make it home for the holidays.
Once again, I laughed out loud from the very beginning to the last page as Ann recounts a tale of Christmas gone haywire in her unique style.
I loved this book. I have read the series. Very entertaining.
It’s Christmas time and Violet is stressed to the max. You see she has to make it through a snowstorm to get to her parents house where her kids are. Unfortunately, her awful sister, Susan will be there. Good thing Violet has her boyfriend, Doc, best friend, Natalie and her other friends, the grumpy Cooper, crazy Cornelius and Harvey with her. The shenanigans and imbibing of alcohol will help to ease the tension until Susan’s big reveal will totally make Violets blood pressure come to boiling.
I loved this book! I don’t know how she does it but Ann Charles always writes books that I absolutely adore and don’t want to put down. Every book she writes makes me laugh so much my son starts to think I’m crazy. I highly recommend this story and every other one she writes!
Loved it. One of her best!
Love this series
Another clear winner in the Deadwood series! I really liked the idea of having all of the “family” together, and seeing more of the personal interactions that a plot does not always have time for. In a word: Loved it!
I love the whole deadwood series and was so glad when this one came along. They are funny, unpredictable and the characters are people wjth secrets sometimes laughable and ones i would like to meet. This is a gathering of family and friends. A sister who is always making trouble and poor violet just cant get a break from her
This time its a real shock to violet. Please start from book one and keep going. You wont be sorry
I have read the whole series. Great characters
I love this Deadwood Series. I have read them all and they are fun. They have humor, romance,(no explicit sex), mystery and interpersonal relationships. They are a great read.

Love this series
Love this whole series. I will buy the next installment as soon as it comes available.
You can’t choose your family but you can choose your friends. As Christmas threatens to go downhill big time, Violet recognizes this truth as her posse of friends comes to the rescue. This is another enjoyable tale of good (friends and family) and evil ( bitch half-sister Susan). Merry reading!
