FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR AND CREATOR OF THE HIT NETFLIX DRAMA THE STRANGERWith unmatched suspense and emotional insight, Harlan Coben explores the big secrets and little lies that can destroy a relationship, a family, and even a town in this powerful new thriller.Suburban New Jersey Detective Napoleon “Nap” Dumas hasn’t been the same since senior year of high school, when his twin brother Leo … school, when his twin brother Leo and Leo’s girlfriend Diana were found dead on the railroad tracks—and Maura, the girl Nap considered the love of his life, broke up with him and disappeared without explanation. For fifteen years, Nap has been searching, both for Maura and for the real reason behind his brother’s death. And now, it looks as though he may finally find what he’s been looking for.
When Maura’s fingerprints turn up in the rental car of a suspected murderer, Nap embarks on a quest for answers that only leads to more questions—about the woman he loved, about the childhood friends he thought he knew, about the abandoned military base near where he grew up, and mostly about Leo and Diana—whose deaths are darker and far more sinister than Nap ever dared imagine.

Take all the dialog with Leo out of it and it would be a 250 page novel and still a great story.
All of Cobens books are immensely readable.
Love it. Harlan Coben is one of my favorites.
Cohen always a great read.
I love every Harlan Cobden novel. This one does not disappoint as usual.
The ending was a surprise, but kind of sad.
New to this author I will definitely seek out some of his other work. Engaging characters and a great plot made this a quick and easy read. Highly recommend.
Love Harlan!!
I love Harlan Coben, but this book was hard to keep up with. The ending was surprising which i always enjoy, but even weeks after reading, I’m still not sure whether or not I enjoyed it.
just another typical Coben book which means it was GREAT!!!!!
Truly a great read. Harlan at his best. Don’t miss it.
Very different. ..surprise ending. Good book club choice.
Cohen hits a home run again!
Harlen Coben is always fun to read. I will read anything he writes. Big fan. Great book.
Hard to put this one down…a real page turner! Harlem Coben has a talent for keeping you guessing from beginning to the end. Great characters, clever plot, well paced story telling!
Although Harlen Coben is one of my favorite authors, I must admit to being a bit disappointed with this story. Compared to NO SECOND CHANCE, this one went flat.
Best one of Harlan Coben’s books yet!
The usual from Coben. Very well written, original, well developed characters, a twist at the end, and leaves you wanting more of the same. I’ve read almost all of Cobens books and never been disappointed. This is a stand-alone book, not part of a character series, although I could envision a series and would welcome it.
My Coben favorites are the Myron Bolitor series. A smart-ass, ex-jock with a wicked friend that regularly bails him out. Pick one of those up and you’ll become a Coben junkie too.
As usual Harlen Coben delivers a great book.
This is one of the “less scary” Coben books I have read. Nevertheless, there were some twists that were breathtaking. The narrator addresses his deceased twin brother throughout, which is something I have not encountered before. Some interesting characters. One thing I didn’t figure out is how the main character was able to do what he did without going to work (he has a job)–I may have missed that he was on vacation or something of that ilk. A quick read for me. I did not see the big twist coming!
