This is definitely my favorite book by Elizabeth Goddard! I think this was the perfect conclusion to the Uncommon Justice series. I couldn’t wait to read Liam’s story since he was first introduced. I think that he and Rae complemented each other well. I really liked how there was so much more to this story than them just searching for a missing woman. I would definitely recommend this book and series for fans of romantic suspense!

Each story I read by author Elizabeth Goddard is amazing. From the first page, I was drawn in by descriptions that made me feel as if I was the character in the story. From the ice cold temperatures to the wet snow to the fear and mystery involved, this is a read that kept my eyes wide open and my heart racing. The author weaves faith, love and suspense into a fantastic read. Great story. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.
This is Book 3 in the Uncommon Justice series, and while some of the characters appear in previous books, it is not necessary to read the other books, as they can function as standalone. I had read book 2, Always Look Twice, so I was acquainted with some of the characters, but again, it isn’t necessary.
I thought this book had a lot more drama and tension than the previous book. There was a lot packed into this thriller. Shadow organizations, drug and human trafficking, money laundering, abductions, and murder.
Rae Burke is an investigative reporter, but her last story nearly got her killed. Now her sister-in-law and former college roommate, Zoey, is missing, and Rae’s brother, Alan, begs Rae to look for Zoey. Rae involves Liam, the former DEA agent she met on her last story, to help her find Zoey. There is a lot of danger and tension as Liam and Rae search for clues. There is also romance brewing between them. Also, the characters turn to God asking for help in situations.
I enjoyed this story and the characters.
Thanks to Elizabeth Goddard and NetGalley for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Don’t Keep Silent is a wow-I-did-not-see-that-coming kind of book. Never having read any of Elizabeth Goddard’s books before, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I will be looking for more of her stories. Even though Don’t Keep Silent is the third and final book in the Uncommon Justice series, it is well-read as a stand-alone story. The author fills in enough of the backstories of the characters which keeps the reader from having lots of questions about what has gone on before in their lives. The characters are colorful and riveting, as well as realistic and either likable, relatable, or despicable. Rae and Liam had been involved in circumstances previously, and things did not end well. I enjoyed watching their relationship begin again and evolve into more than colleagues looking for a missing person. The book’s setting brings out the beautiful imagery of the winter ski resort area of the mountains of Wyoming. The dialogue flowed seamlessly without sounding forced, and most of the book, with its non-stop action, was unpredictable. I like how the author revealed things layer by layer, keeping me wondering how scenarios were ever going to work out. Readers who love exciting, heart-stopping mysteries will not want to miss Don’t Keep Silent. It keeps you eagerly reading until the very last page.
I was given a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.
A great conclusion to this series! I really enjoyed this book. It was a page turner and was hard to put down.
The character’s were relatable and realistic. Liam was my favorite character. He is a loyal and trustworthy character in the book. Liam is also a compassionate character and you really get to know the depth of his character in the book.
I loved the message of hope and forgiveness.
I highly recommend this book!

Elizabeth Goddard rounds out her Uncommon Justice series with Don’t Keep Silent, an engaging story about a former undercover agent and an investigative journalist.
While this is the third installment of the series, you can read it if you haven’t read the other two. I’ve read Never Let Go but haven’t gotten my hands on Always Look Twice. I could still follow the story, though, and Don’t Keep Silent works great as a standalone.
Liam is a great and strong hero, and I love his protective streak. Rae is equally strong, and I love her dedication to her family. Together they make a great team. I also love Liam and Rae’s chemistry, as well as the way Goddard wove their backstory throughout the novel.
This book is hard to put down! The mystery has a lot of twists and turns, and I stayed up late trying to figure out who the bad guys were. Goddard draws the reader into the mystery from the beginning. She does a great job of spreading the clues out throughout the story to keep you engaged. I never saw the ending coming, but once the clues began to come together, it all made sense. I love when a story ends with no loose ends.
Okay, let’s face it. I just love this book period. Don’t Keep Silent is an excellently-written suspense with a great romantic element.
(Note: I received a complimentary copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.)
This novel kept me glued to the pages the whole way through. What would I be reading on the next page? Rae was asked by her brother to go in search of his missing wife. Zoey had gone missing five years earlier but this couldn’t be connected, could it? Rae is a reporter and her search brings her to cold, snowy Wyoming. Liam McKade is back in the same area helping his brother with their ranch. He took a bullet once before to save Rae and she blew his cover as an undercover agent. Even though he never wanted to see her again, he finds himself joining her in the search for her missing sister-in-law. Danger follows the two of them as they get deeper and deeper into the investigation.
I found myself “standing” next to the characters, holding my breath, heart pounding in my chest. I became a part of the story almost. Murder, kidnapping, money laundering, human trafficking and car chases along treacherous, icy mountain roads are just some of the things you will encounter as you search along with Rae and Liam. This was a great way for me to spend a day or two and I’m looking forward to more books by Elizabeth Goddard.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher but was not required to write a review.
WOW!!This book is full of action, suspense, drama and romance. It will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I can’t say enough good things about this book without letting a spoiler slip out. If you like clean suspenseful books that will keep you on the edge of your seat grab this book! I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell Publishing and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Elizabeth Goddard’s Don’t Keep Silent is the perfect ending to the Uncommon Justice series! With stunning mountain backdrops setting the scene and hunky cowboy law enforcement types, there’s excitement on many levels in these books.
Goddard knows just how to keep the suspense building in Don’t Keep Silent, too. Every time I thought I had the plot and the players figured out, she’d throw another wrench into the works. I enjoyed the way she spiraled the action deeper and deeper, keeping the intrigue fresh and the reader wondering.
Zoey’s character drew me in from the very beginning. You can’t help but feel bad for a sad girl wanting her missing mommy and the hurting husband who’s trying to keep things together for her. I wanted everything to work out well for them both, but that seemed less and less likely as I read deeper into the story. I love the red herrings that Goddard threw out there to keep the reader guessing – Don’t Keep Silent definitely ruled the series in that regard.
Rae and Liam were complicated characters, and that’s part of what made them so great. They’re both fighting their own demons, and those demons have some similarities. Add that to the fact that they have a complex past together, and they make for deep story leads. I would have liked a flashback scene since their past influenced this story so much; that would have helped me to understand their past and it’s forward connections more fully. Of course, then Goddard couldn’t have dribbled out information in quite the same way, so maybe this way is best, but I do love those pieces that really grab the reader and superglue the two plot lines together.
Don’t Keep Silent was one of those stories that made me simultaneously want to read faster and slower as I neared the end; I couldn’t wait to find out what happened but didn’t want the story – and the series – to end. I’ll definitely be rereading this one.
Although the preview that Goddard included of the first book in the next series sounds amazing. If you like mystery/suspense stories where the setting plays a key role, you’ll want to get the first book in her new Rocky Mountain Courage series pre-ordered as soon as possible!
All in all, if you’re a fan of suspense, you won’t want to miss Elizabeth Goddard’s Don’t Keep Silent. With lots of action scenes, likeable characters, and as many plot twists as the ski slopes it features, it’s the perfect pandemic read.
I received a free copy of Don’t Keep Silent from the author. All opinions are my own.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I did not want to put this book down. I loved the bits of romance and love the suspense. The characters were fantastic. Rae and Liam have to get over what happened to them in the past so that they can work together and find Rae’s missing sister-in-law. I loved the twists and turns throughout. I loved some of the descriptions of the area. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.
Don’t start reading this unless you’ve got plenty of time as you won’t want to put it down! A page-turner from the very beginning, this one kept me on my toes. Fast-paced, action-filled suspense and danger along with intriguing characters all made for a delightful read. I especially loved Samara, Zoey’s mother, and I found Chuck to be an interesting addition to the suspense. This one kept me guessing!
Thank you to the author and Revell Publishing for an early copy of this book. I was under no obligation to write a positive review and all opinions are my own.
Wow! I had a hard time putting this one down. Just when I thought I had it figured out it would throw me a curve ball and have me jumping the tracks. I love a book that I can’t figure it all out and this author delivers in spades. This book brings to life what is involved in trying to bust a drug and human trafficking ring and the players that you want to see caught keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is book three in the Uncommon Justice series but I had no problem reading it as a stand-alone. Rae and Liam work together but there is still that struggle to not connect on a deeper level which makes the story even more gripping and interesting, especially since they have a past history. The love of family drives Rae to find her missing sister in law. The twists and turns keep you enthralled and throughly entertained throughout. I will definitely have to go back and read the first two books as I want to read Liam’s brothers stories. If you love romantic suspense then you don’t want to miss out on this World Series.
I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
I loved everything about “Don’t Keep Silent” by Elizabeth Goddard. I loved the characters, the theme, and the suspense. This book hooked me from the first page and kept me hooked until the very end. It had me guessing the whole time! I could tell that Elizabeth Goddard really did her homework, because there were some very complicated things going on!
The main characters – Rae and Liam – were so likeable. And I was cheering the whole time for their relationship to work! I think another reason why I loved this book so much was that the theme was different than what I usually read. This was a fresh, new subject, which I enjoyed greatly.
I definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the good, clean, romantic suspense genre. You won’t be disappointed!
I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.
This is the third book in this series by Ms. Goddard. All I can say is it will take the reader on a wild ride to the end! The book was fantastic! This is probably my favorite book by this author. The story will leave you guessing what will occur and who is behind everything. There are multiple twists and turns. In this book, readers get to know Liam better. Liam has been through a lot and is trying to figure out what his future holds. He is surprised when he sees Rae Burke again. Rae feels terrible at what happened with Liam, but would do it all over again if she had too. She needs Liam’s help, so she must try to get him to help her find her sister-in-law who is missing. Plan to read this book all the way to the finish once you start. I highly recommend this book! You will not be disappointed!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, this is my own opinion.
Just when I think Elizabeth Goddard can’t top her last book, she writes “Don’t Keep Silent”. This is a story that grabs you by the throat during the prologue and doesn’t let go until the very end.
I would love to give it 10 stars.
It is an exhilarating fast-paced suspense, filled with danger and unexpected discoveries. The tension rises to fever pitch – just when you think you know the good guys from the bad, there is a surprising twist awaits.
There is so much I could keep saying about this great story, but I want you all to experience the excitement of reading it yourself!
When a family member goes missing your heart sinks. Investigative reporter Rae Burke is the best at solving crimes and will do anything to help her family out. During her preliminary research Rae runs into former love interest, Liam, at a ski resort in Wyoming. Which is timely, as she could use his assistance for this case. Mystery and untold stories surround and intertwine the plot. Will Rae be able to find her sister-in-law, Zoey? And who knows the full story, maybe Zoey’s biological mother…….that is what Rae plans to find out! Great story line and writing. Kept my attention the entire time and I didn’t want to put the book down!
This book had me hooked from the very first pages! It was action packed and filled with courageous and selfless men and women throughout.
Rae and Liam’s paths had crossed in the past, they fell in love in a past investigation, but were torn apart through circumstances that were out of their control. Now Rae is trying to find her missing sister in law and turns to Liam to help her. She knows as a past DEA agent, he has the skills to help when her investigative reporting skills might come into dangerous situations. The dangers come and the past resurfaces in ways they never expected.
My main issue with this storyline was the way Rae kept placing herself in harm’s way because that is what she thought her dad would have done. In one place, she thought she would end up dying before writing a big story like her dad had. Another place stated that her mom was planning to divorce her dad because he was never at home and was always placing himself in dangerous situations. I guess I just don’t understand why that was what kept driving her to do dangerous things when it was not a good thing when her dad did it during her childhood.
I received an e-copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
this is a page turning story to the end. Rae is a reporter that blew Liam’s cover as a dea agent. now she is back and looking for her sister in law. someone is after her and he is drawn back in to helping her. if you like mysteries with some romance in them you must read the book, i was given a copy by the publisher but this is an honest review. this is a well written story you will not be able to put down till the end.
“Don’t Keep Silent” is the third book in the “Uncommon Justice” series by Elizabeth Goddard. Each of the books in this series are about one of three brothers. The first book called “Never Let Go” was about Austin McKade. The second book called “Always Look Twice” was about Heath McKade. And this last book of the series is about the last brother, Liam McKade. This is the second book I have read by her. I will say that one thing I have noticed between this book and the other one I read by Elizabeth Goddard is that she does not have long chapters which I really like because it makes the book feel like a faster read. However, her books have been so good that they keep my attention and might feel like a fast read without the chapters not being too long. She has a way of bringing her characters to life and making you feel like you are going on their journey right along with them. In this novel, you will meet back up with Liam McKade to whom you were also introduced to in the previous novel. Liam is approached by Rae Burke to whom he previously worked with to help her locate her sister-in-law. Not only do you get to go along with them on their search but you also learn about their past working relationship. One of the best things I have found about this book is that she keeps you on your toes throughout the book by not revealing everything all at once or too soon. This seems like a common occurrence with Elizabeth Goddard’s books though I have only read two. I would bet that she does well with keeping you in suspense in her other books as well. I can honestly say I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book in order to give an honest review.
Such an interesting, and sometimes tense, romantic suspense. It held my attention from the very first page. I loved Rae and Liam so hard. They had some misunderstandings to overcome, but they were able to do so with style and grace as they searched for Rae’s missing sister-in-law.. With so many twists and turns, this book kept me entertained and guessing until the very end.
This is the third book in the Uncommon Justice series. I have not read the first two books in theseries, but I was able to following along with no problems. I recommend reading this very intriguing book.
Thank you to the author and the publisher, Revell, for an advance copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
