Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is the third book in her Uncommon Justice series and definitely worth reading if you love inspirational romantic suspense stories.
Rae Burke uses her training as an investigative reporter to find her missing sister-in-law, but in doing so she must face her past along with her feelings for Liam McKade, the same man who almost lost his life saving her. Ironically, he is now once again risking his life to protect her while she gets closer to finding her sister-in-law the danger she is in increases also.
This series has been wonderful and I look forward to reading more of Elizabeth’s books in the future.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
This was the first Uncommon Justice book I read. Wow. It doesn’t get much better than this, from the moment I picked it up, till the moment i finished it (Several nights of reading till 3 am) it was nearly impossible to put down.
From likable believable characters to realistic conflict I’m hooked. It was suspenseful and action packed with twists and turns that kept me guessing and entertained. I was honestly disappointed when I finished it, not in the story, but that I didn’t have even just one more chapter to keep me entertained.
Although I got this book in exchange for an honest review I immediately had to pick up the others in the series. I can’t wait for the next book that Elizabeth Goddard publishes.
This book had me from the beginning. A fast paced thriller with lots of twists and turns. I could not put it down even though I lost power when I was about 40 pages from the end and read the rest of the book with a battery operated book light. I highly recommend this book.
Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is the third and final book in the Uncommon Justice series. I have read all three books in the series and truly enjoyed my time in Wyoming with the McKade brothers. This book was full of action and hooked me from the first page as the book begins with a woman stuck in the woods surrounded by snow and danger, wondering if she will escape.
Liam McKade and Rae Burke team up in Don’t Keep Silent to find Rae’s missing sister-in-law, Zoey. They worked together once before but it didn’t end well and Liam was less than thrilled to be working with Rae again. Still the two team up and work through the layers of both what happened in the past and the mystery they are currently trying to solve.
This book was a page turner from the beginning of Don’t Keep Silent. It is a solid clean suspense novel with readers working to solve the mystery and trying to figure out how things will work out with Rae and Liam. I liked both characters as they seemed fairly easy to relate to. There are also other relationships within the book that were interesting and thought-provoking in relation to the title. I found the mystery to be interesting all the way through to the end. It was intriguing that Goddard used a fictitious book series as part of this plot–it is always fun to see books play a role within a book. There are some subtle spiritual messages within the book but mostly it is a clean, suspenseful read. I also like the cover art and it seems to go well with the series–a beautiful woman solving a mystery on a snowy mountain. At the end of Don’t Keep Silent, readers also get a teasing glimpse in to her upcoming series, Rocky Mountain Courage.
I received this book courtesy of Baker Publishing Group, Revell Division and the author. All opinions in this review are my own
If you want to read a suspense-filled story that kicks into high gear from the very first paragraph and never lets up until the end, this is the book for you.
And wow, what a story it is! I love reading books like this where I can’t at any point in the story quite figure out what’s coming next, and this one has a huge plot twist that I never saw coming. It always helps, too, when you like the main characters and I really liked Rae and Liam. Although this book does have a romance between them, their story is secondary to the suspense. The race to save Zoey leads to complications Rae never expected, and that’s when the action kicks up into another level. It’s always a pleasure to read a Christian suspense story that’s clean and well-written.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
So many twists and turns with lots of suspense and action. I absolutely loved this riveting, romantic suspense book! Clean christian book but does have elements of murder, kidnapping and human trafficking-nothing graphic.
Another great book to the “Uncommon Justice” series! I highly recommend this book and this series. Once you start reading, you won’t want to stop!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
Sometimes you think you know someone, only to find out that you really don’t. Or do you? This is what happens to Rae Burke’s brother when his wife Zoey disappears without a trace. She was not the type to just leave her husband and daughter. However, as Rae begins investigating her sister-in-law’s disappearance really big secrets begin to surface.
Rae agrees to help her brother and she once again finds herself working with an old fling, Liam who is also the man who saved her life once before. From the time that they first meet again, there was certainly an undercurrent of tension as they did not leave on good terms. Liam does not want anything more to do with Rae, but when it comes to her, he just can’t help his overprotective side.
Things really begin to heat up as someone has set their sites on Rae. And Rae is already working in the dark trying to piece together Zoey’s life and what may have happened to her. All the while I am hoping Zoey gets back to her little girl and husband. The frustration the characters were feeling about this missing person was seeping through the pages.
This was a pretty intense read from the opening sentences of the prologue. I love a good prologue to pull me in and this one stayed with me partly due to what was happening in it, and that the story starts two days earlier. I also wondered who it was about. It was very mysterious and bone-chilling. This was a good suspense novel with a second chance thrown in that happens in the winter. Great for a really hot 90-degree day.
I was provided a copy of this novel from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
Don’t Keep Silent is full of twists and turns and will keep you reading to see what will happen next. Rae is determined at all costs to find her sister-in-law and won’t stop at anything to find her. I love the determination she has even though it means working with Lima McKade whom she has a history with.
Liam thinks he will be able to settle down, but soon finds himself interacting with Rae again as she finds herself in danger trying to follow the clues.
I received a copy of the book to read, the review is mine.
Elizabeth Goddard delivers another amazing romantic suspense!
Dont Keep Silent is a story that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is the 3rd book in the series and I always wanted to know more about Liam, the 3rd brother. His story was perfect.
I would highly recommend this 5 star story. This can be read as a stand alone, but the entire series is amazing.
Don’t Keep Silent is the riveting conclusion of the Uncommon Justice series and author Elizabeth Goddard has created a memorable story to shine the light on the third McKade brother. Liam McKade is a former DEA agent and his plans to live a quiet life in Wyoming are challenged when he recognizes a face from his past. Liam once saved an investigative reporter’s life and now, he is shocked when Rae suddenly reappears. Her sister-in-law is missing, Rae needs Liam’s help to find her, and old feelings are revived as they begin their search. What follows is an intense, action-packed drama set in the beauty of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the Rocky Mountains, and some of the scenes with the ski slopes will simply take your breath away! There is adventure, danger, an undeniable chemistry between Rae and Liam, and a faith-filled message that will warm your heart and offer you thoughts to ponder!
If you are looking for Christian romantic suspense that keeps you searching for answers, pick up a copy of Don’t Keep Silent. You won’t be disappointed!
I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. There was no obligation to post a review. These are my own thoughts and opinion.
Don’t Keep Silent is the third in this series and it is my first one to read and I loved it. Now I need to read the other two. What A book! If mystery/ suspense is your choice in Christian Fiction then you will certainly want to get this one….There is murder, kidnapping, human trafficking and drug trafficking amidst snow blizzards. The intrigue, suspense and romance read like a roller coaster ride with danger at every turn to keep you holding on. Also it will keep you guessing about who the culprits are. All in all a great book………I received a copy from Revell Reads to read and review and I am happy to post my review.
Don’t Keep Silent is Elizabeth Goddard’s newest release and the third novel in her Uncommon Justice series. The suspense and twists will keep you on your toes as Investigative reporter Rae Burke puts herself in harm’s way when she sets out to find her missing sister-in-law. Knowing she needs someone trustworthy to assist in her investigation, she seeks out Liam McKade, a former DEA agent, and past love interest.
Liam wants to steer clear of Rae after her betrayal in their previous investigation that caused him to blow his cover and take a bullet for her. He’s determined to guard his heart against further disappointment, but he knows she’s headstrong and won’t quit until she’s completed the task. He reasons that he can’t let her face the dangers alone.
Reluctantly, and out of concern for her safety, Liam succumbs to Rae’s request. Danger finds them at every turn, but determination keeps them searching. Tension builds as the action picks up momentum.
I enjoy reading novels that keep me guessing about what’s going to happen. I’m especially impressed with authors like Elizabeth Goddard, who successfully withholds the identity of the villain until the end.
Readers won’t be disappointed in this well-plotted novel.
I received a complimentary copy from Revell for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.
From the opening pages this book has you on the edge of your seat. Full of action, suspense, some romance, definitely keeps you interested. Hits home today with the kidnappings and human trafficking that our nation is seeing. A story that kept me guessing until the end as to who did it.
A thrilling and suspenseful conclusion. I loved every minute of this book because it held me captive, wanting to know how it would end. Definition didn’t have it figured out and I loved that.
The character building, both Rae and Liam have been through a lot and have to learn forgiveness, to trust God. The romance, oh so beautiful I was definitely rooting for them from start to finish.
This book takes you on a beautiful journey from start to finish, meeting these wonderful characters and learning more about them and the choices the make and how it affected them in the long run, the struggles they each faced. It’s definitely not one to be missed.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley. All opinions expressed are mine
I have enjoyed Elizabeth Goddard’s series, Uncommon Justice. The third installment, Don’t Keep Silent, does not disappoint. It is probably my favorite of the series. Even though it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone.
Don’t Keep Silent has a long that I enjoy to read in a book. It has suspense filled mystery, page turning action and sweet romance. I thought it was a great read from start to finish.
I am giving Don’t Keep Silent a very well deserved five plus stars. I believe readers who enjoy romantic suspense. It is one not to be missed.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Ready for a mystery that will have you shifting the story’s sands for that one and only clue that will tie everything together? If so, then Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is for you!
In addition to an intricate mystery — no spoilers! — there was several key aspects that I really loved in Don’t Keep Silent! I loved the setting! The author does a wonderful job bringing this town in Wyoming to life, and the wildness of the land reminds me of my own backyard. Additionally, one of the things I was delightfully surprised to find in Don’t Keep Silent was the representation for the Autism Community. As a mom to a young child with Autism, I love seeing Autism represented in stories! While this wasn’t a huge focus in Don’t Keep Silent, the fact that it was represented there at all blessed my heart!
The spiritual dynamic in Don’t Keep Silent was more subtle. Due to Liam and Rae’s history, they’re struggling to forgive each other — or are they? In reality, this was a convenient façade they each donned in order to keep them from dealing with the real issue — that they are both uniquely called to protect those can’t cry out for help. They are individually struggling with the painful realities of that calling and the traumatic ways it has impacted their lives. Because of this, they are afraid to open their hearts — and each other — up to the pain that love can bring. I loved that once they stripped that façade away and looked this fear in the face, they bravely choose one of the scariest gifts God gives us: love.
Three Stars ~ Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is an intricate mystery that will keep you asking questions! Don’t Keep Silent is the third book in the author’s Uncommon Justice Series. The overall mystery can be read as a standalone, but readers will understand the family dynamics better if the series is read in order.
Possible triggers ~ Death, abduction, human trafficking.

I should really investigate books a little more before I request them for review. Once again, I jumped into book three without realizing it. And from how much I enjoyed this book, I would have loved to experience the entire series—in order.
I was prepared to find Rae annoying. She’s a reporter and a woman in a suspense novel. That combination usually means headstrong and a little stupid because of determination. And Rae did have some of that, but in the end, it wasn’t really her dogged determination that got her in trouble—it was a whole mix of events and people’s choices. Because she did have her stupidly determined moments of leaving behind the guy-protection she had hired, but for some reason, it didn’t grate on me like it has in other suspense novels I’ve read.
Liam was a great guy. He had his past hurts and troubles to get over, but overall he was a solid character.
The romance was a steady thread throughout the story, but the characters weren’t obsessing over each others’ looks (it was mentioned, but not obsessively). There were two kisses that were semi-detailed in description. Some teen readers might find the romance too much for them.
The characters often prayed to God and went to Him for help and direction. In thinking over the story as a whole, I cannot really pinpoint a specific faith message—but I will admit that I read this during a busy time where my brain was clouded with chronic fatigue, so it could be that I just missed connecting the dots there.
It was a book that I enjoyed. There were great suspense moments and a lot of interwoven plots—even if the end did feel like a little jumble of characters spilling information. I’ll be on the lookout for more from this author.
*I received this book from Revell and happily provided my honest review*
The McKade boys are in it again. This time, it’s Liam, and he’s still trying to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up. Sure, he has served in the Marines and in the DEA, but a blown cover and a bullet have him back at the Emerald M with his brothers while he figures out what God has planned for him next. He didn’t dream it would be the woman who blew his cover. The woman he took that bullet to save. The woman he thought he loved, before he realized she had used him for her own purposes. The woman who now needs him to help her find her missing sister-in-law before time runs out.
Elizabeth Goddard’s Don’t Keep Silent is the third book in her Uncommon Justice series. If you don’t know the McKade boys by now, it’s high time to pick up the first book and read your way through the adventures kicked up by Austin, Heath, and now Liam. Goddard balances danger and romance intricately and pulls the reader into the lives of the Emerald M. Don’t Keep Silent is another action packed page turner. Sure, you could read it as a stand-alone, but frankly, you wouldn’t skip straight to the end of the book, so why miss out on the rest of the Uncommon Justice series.
Thank you to the author and to the publisher for allowing me the opportunity to read and review this book. All opinions in this review are my own and are completely genuine.
In the first novel, Never Let Go, audiences enjoy the tale of how Willow, who is a forensic genealogist, meets up with former FBI agent Austin McKade. In the next book, readers will be thrilled to find out how photographer Harper Reynolds comes across an old acquaintance, Heath McKade. In the concluding story of the series titled, Don’t Keep Silent, readers will be mesmerized as they follow daring investigative reporter Rae Burke as she collides with Liam McKade.
Liam is a former undercover agent who had to medically resign and is trying to find his way in life without any special plans. Rae is once again on the hunt to find a missing person, Zoey, who is married to her brother but has vanished. Rae knew Zoey in college where Zoey had a traumatic experience, and Rae wonders if that is what is the catalyst to Zoey’s recent disappearance.
When Rae travels to Wyoming, she plans on asking Liam for help, but she isn’t sure he even wants to see her. No sooner is Rae starting her investigating and research when it seems someone has found her, and her life is now in jeopardy! Heath and Austin along with their wives are off to different destinations so Liam is tasked with keeping the ranch running. Emerald M is the place where all three McKade’s grew up. Their past is one thing they are trying to make peace with and to build a better future for themselves. Liam wonders if he can even be a part of it. Where does he fit in?
Plan on spending many moments in a tension-filled thriller that reveals Liam’s past and Rae’s as well. There are dangerous foes coming for these two from many angles, and Liam is tasked with keeping Rae alive. Can he do it? Will Liam and Rae be able to ignore their own past experiences with each other in order to focus on finding this missing woman? All three books in the Uncommon Justice series were very entertaining to read. I kept my nose buried in the pages from beginning to end. I think you will enjoy the suspense, romance, and exciting conclusion to the series.
Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is part of the Uncommon Justice series. Ms Goddard is a brilliant author and I love how she consistently writes suspenseful novels with strong female lead characters. In this book, she features an investigative reporter who gets pulled into a missing persons case when her sister in law goes missing. But nothing in this case is what it initially appears. Ms Goddard has crafted a brilliant mystery full of interesting characters with multiple layer that keep revealing themselves as the book progresses. The plot is intriguing and keeps building tension until it is nearly too much at times. Written from a Christian perspective, it is still a book full of hope and second chances. It is an important book, with its very real look at human trafficking and its reality in America. I have read other books by this author and I have found each of them unique and packed with suspense and some romance. I am definitely a fan of this author’s work and I sincerely look forward to more books in this series or in similar series’s in the future. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
