New York Times and #1 ebook bestselling author Alexa Riley returns with Don’t Go, a virgin-hero insta-love contemporary romance in the For You seriesI’ve spent the past ten years convincing myself that what I felt for her was teenage infatuation. Then everything went to shit, and in an instant, she was gone.
Kory Summers knew returning to New York meant running into Henry. The way her heartbeat picked up at just the thought was nervousness—not anticipation. Oh, no. She never expected to find him on her doorstep looking as handsome as ever.
She’s mine. She always has been. I’ve waited this long for her…but time’s up. I’ll use all my power, all my connections, to convince her she’s the one.
Kory ran from a boy, but a man of power and persuasion now stands in his place.

Not my favorite in the series, but it was ok. I think that the experience may have been hampered by the narrators of the audiobook. I enjoyed the back and forth timeline method of storytelling. Henry and Kory’s story is intense in the way that only Alexa Riley can accomplish, with all the instalove and drama that I’ve come to expect. Actually, Don’t Go is a bit more intense than I expected but I enjoyed that. Alexa Riley will always be my go to when I need super steamy, quick, satisfying reads. 3 out of 5 wine glasses.
When Henry Osbourne finally gets up the nerve to ask out Kory Summers, he’s intent on making her his, in his sweet way. Kory may not be up to Henry’s social status, but Henry doesn’t care. There’s something about Kory that draws him to her, and he means to get to know her. Unfortunately, his plans are thwarted, thanks to the requisite high school mean girl, and Kory runs and doesn’t return. Henry spends the the next decade pining over the girl who got away and took his heart with him. He’s now running Osbourne, he’s successful and has everything he could possibly want, with the exception of his heart, his Kory.
Kory’s back in New York and close to Henry, the boy who broke her heart in high school. When she sees him again, her heart is in her throat. But when he lays a hot kiss on her, suddenly all her anger and hurt seems to disappear and she’s swept up into Henry’s orbit. Will Henry get his chance to explain himself? Will their insta-love get a chance to evolve into true love? This is an AR story, so you know how it will go. But the getting there is fun and sweet and sexy, trademark AR.
It’s a novella, so don’t be expecting a well-rounded, character development, relationship development heavy romance. But do be expecting sweet, sexy insta-love with a virgin hero and a smart, independent heroine. All the good stuff expected from an AR story.

Don’t Go is a quick second chance romance full off all the delicious AR traits that we love. Alpha, virgins, and over the top-insta love.
Henry falls in love with Kory the moment he meets her in high school. He’s known she was the one from that moment but things happen that cause them to be removed from each other’s lives. He’s tooth achingly sweet and when Kory comes back into his life ten years later, he does everything he can to show her that they belong together. He’s also that filthy talking alpha that I love so much from AR characters.
There is a bit of drama in Don’t Go but it is pretty light compared to previous work. It really is just that over the top, sweet and filthy romance that is easy to devour.
I will be honest, if it weren’t for a few parts that reminded me of Christian Grey, this would have been one of my favorites. However, I mentally couldn’t get past it in order to fully connect the way I wanted to. Don’t let that sway you because it is a totally “it’s not you, it’s me” thing. If you are looking for a quick and dirty insta love second change romance then this is the book for you!

This is exactly what I want when I read Alexa Riley. It was sweet, swoon worthy, and had me smiling most of the time I was reading it.
Alexa Riley always makes the best over the top possessive hero. Its like it’s their specialty, and I loved every single minute of seeing Henry win back Kory. There was insta love (they warned you in the blurb) but I think it was done pretty good. I couldn’t wait until they met again.
Overall it was another Alexa Riley book that was a win for me. If you like over the top heroes and quick sexy reads then pick this up when it comes out!
Henry has only wanted Kory since the first time he saw her so when he finally convinced her to go out with him it ends in a huge misunderstanding that breaks both of their hearts for ten years.
Henry just found out that Kory has moved back in town with her mother and he is determined she is going to hear him out no matter what.
This story was so romantic imagine someone pining for you for ten years , you just keep hoping for a happy ending for these two.

Henry Osbourne has known since he was eighteen years old that there was only one woman for him. He lost his chance with her, however, when out of control events on prom night led her to a wrong conclusion and ruined their chance at happiness.
For ten years, Henry has built his business empire, but has been unable to let go of the woman who got away. His infatuation borders on obsession and no woman has ever been able to replace Kory Summers in his thoughts or heart.
Kory Summers left New York and never looked back after her heart was broken on prom night. She’s never been able to forget Henry either, even if he is the man who broke her heart all those years ago. When an incident causes her to accept a new job in NYC, she knew there was the possibility of running into her old flame. She didn’t expect him to be waiting for her outside her childhood home and wanting to pick up where they left off ten years ago.
Can Henry convince Kory it was all a misunderstanding so they can both find their happy ever after, or will they be left living in the past and stuck wanting the person they can’t have for the rest of their lives?
Don’t Go was a very sweet and fun insta-love romance. Henry really is a good guy and tries everything he can think of to let Kory know what she thinks she saw on prom night wasn’t what actually happened. While he can’t let it go, however, he still has her best interests at heart by giving her what he thinks she wants, which is time and space.
Kory can’t move on either. No matter how successful she has come professionally, she’s left relationships back in highschool. She knows what she wants, she just can’t have him . . . she is not willing to put herself through the wringer again.
This couple really is perfect for one another, and once they finally clear up what actually happened all those years ago, they are free to move forward and seek out a bright and beautiful future together. Don’t Go was a feel-good read with a satisfying story. 4 stars
