This is the fourth and final book in the Clint & Rae series. I was sad to see this series end and hope that eventually we will get a story or novella catching us up later in life. Rebel didn’t disappoint and as the previous books had the character draw you in and become emotionally invested. You see a lot of growth in the characters from when they started in book #1 but I feel in this book Clint had the most. I was proud of him and how maturely he handled most situations in this book compared to the previous ones. Rae started driving me crazy and I wanted to yell at her. She showed how your relationship with one person affects every other aspect and relationship in your life. The ending made my heart so happy. I think Rebel did such a fabulous job with this series. I am so thankful that I found her and can’t wait to see what books are in the future.
This is the fourth book in the Diamond in the Rough series, and somewhat of a second conclusion to the epic story of Clint, and Rae. This book gives a look into the journey these two characters take as they continue on past high school, and look to the future, and where it might take them. This book is a whirlwind of emotions, Clint, and Rae, deal with growing up, and feeling good enough for each other, and its was heartbreaking to see them lose their way for a bit. I love reading this book, it was intense, dramatic, emotional, passionate, and steamy.
3.5
Don’t Follow Me was a surprise 4th book in this series, giving you a sneak peak into Clint and Rae’s future after high school.
I’m this last installment, Clint and Rae face troubles in their relationship the summer before everything is about to change. They are unsure what the future holds for their relationship and while they love each other, they are both pushing each other away in their own ways.
You see Rae deal with real life fears about life changes and growing up, while you see Clint dealing with what to do if the love of his life no longer wants to be with him. You feel their fears and their heartbreak throughout this book.
While I did overall like this book, Rae did bother me a little bit in it. This book is emotional but at the same time I wanted to slap some sense into Rae and tell her to stop pushing away the people that love her just because she was feeling insecure. I also feel like the issues with her mother were left unresolved and her mother never took any responsibility for anything.
I loved this ending to Clint and Rae’s story. Their journey has been angsty, emotional, and so full of questions and doubts. I loved that they finally found their way through all the darkness and pain. Thus was a quick paced story that I was able to read in one sitting. If you haven’t started this series yet, do it right now!
This is the fourth and final book in the diamonds in the rough series. While I enjoyed the previous books this one was by far my FAVORITE.
Clint finally finds himself, and has grown so much from the angry punk he was at the beginning if the series. Rae realizes what it means to truly let people in and rely on them through the worst. This books takea place over just a short period of time, but I feel really closes out their story in the best way.
Now that the author has her first full series under her belt I can only imagine where her future will take her! You can bet I’ll be along for the ride!
I started reading this journey between Rae and Clint from the beginning with all it’s ups and downs. It was an amazing one filled with heartache, suspense, twists and turns, and most of all love to conquer it all. I was more then happy with the ending of book 3 but when i learned of another book i was thrilled that i didnt have to say goodbye to these characters that I’ve grown to love. This book takes us into what life starts to be for the two of them after high school and shoes us just how much Clint has changed for the better but also shows us how Rae is having a hard time with feeling like life is weighing down on her. You have to read this book its sych a great addition to the series and I’m truely sad to see this series end even more now. Don’t miss out on this awesome book you wont be disappointed at all
When I finished the 3rd book in this series and saw there would be a 4th I was a bit apprehensive. I didn’t think another book could possibly make me feel like the 3rd book “Stay with Me “ did. Let me tell you “Don’t Follow Me “gave me all the feels!!! It was a roller coaster ride of emotions from start to finish but I was completely wrong in my apprehension. This book is the perfect culmination to the series.
The conclusion to Rae & Clints book was an emotional read for me! All 3 books now the 4th seeing the characters chemistry throughout all 4 books and now this book is deciding on college it’s a book you shouldn’t miss if you read the first 3!
