To say I love this story is an understatement. This book was just as good as the first! Honestly, the story becomes more and more fascinating. You just don’t want to put it down! Addicting and mind-blowing!
The guys have finally come around and are willing to stand by Mae and face the consequences. Mae is slowly discovering new things about herself and who is now after her. But it seems time has run out and the seeker has found what he was looking for. The question now remains, how will this all play out?
This is the second book in the “Legends Unleashed” series and even better than the first! More action, more adventure, more suspense that had me turning the pages faster than I could breathe. Excellent character development and world building, “Don’t Cross My Path” is a page turner that you shouldn’t miss. I can’t wait for the conclusion of the series!!!
This book is the second in the series and it is following Bloody Mary and her men. There is chaos going on in the world but Mary cant seem to see this as she seeks revenge for what the mages have done to her. She has four devoted men helping her on her journey but can we address one thing the very slow burn between these characters. I’m hoping that the next book will see things heat up. I’m also hoping the next book Mary pays more attention to whats really going on around her.

Our heroine is none other than Bloody Mary, out for revenge against those that wronged her. Too bad the world is falling apart at the same time.
This is book two of the series. It does pretty well as a stand alone, but it will make more sense if you read them in order.
This is a paranormal reverse harem story with some horror elements (much blood and violence). The story is well written and comes with an interesting cast of characters. My favorite is, of course, our heroine. who has a nice bit of depth to her but she is rather blood thirsty and grim. The story has lots of action and generally moves at a good pace. And while I could have done with a bit less of the horror element, it was not overwhelming or too distracting. Overall, I enjoyed the story and am still curious to see where things go.
Recommended.

Wowzers what a brilliant dream team Lacey Carter Anderson and Helen Scott make.
This storey is loosely based on the Bloody Mary myth but once you get your head round the fact that this is a re-imaged re-telling and understand the fact that this is its own storey you will hopefully enjoy this book.
Bloody Mary has Hunter for company and he looks out for her each time she is called, but now that they have esacaped the Mirror realm she has all four of her men to protect her but will they her to just carry out the bloody vengence that she has planned?
Wonderfully written and a very enjoyable read.
Don’t Cross My Path by Helen Scott is such an awesome story that I have loved reading. This is book number two in this awesome series that I am hooked on so badly since the beginning. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about reverse harem and paranormal romance.

This series is getting intense. The story does answer quite a few of the questions about Mae’s past. But if only that was the only problem. Things will get extremely crazy and dangerous. Mae wants her revenge but is that what is right? One of guys really has some issues with her. Should she of been saved from the mirror or did they just start the apocalypse? Plenty of magic and fighting. And there are a few pretty hot scenes. So can’t wait for the next book.
Not sure where to start with this book. I really liked and enjoyed book 1 in this series. I just felt like book 2 didn’t have the same energy. Mae’s character seem really different in this book. I’m all for the head strong and feisty heroine but Mae was putting so much energy on her need for revenge that she didn’t realize the chaos around her. I get it!!! After what those mages did to her why she would want them gone. It’s just seem like her obsession and justification went overboard. Also can we talked about this slow burn situation we have going on with Mae and the guys. Hopefully in the next book things will steamy up more. Overall interesting and entertaining read looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series. I received a free copy via booksprout as always my review are voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Book 2 in this series did not disappoint, if anything it’s even more thrilling, steamy, and attention grabbing. I was completely sucked in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. My favorite character is definitely Mae, she is one of those characters that have you wrapped up in them so much that you can feel her emotions as your own. I highly recommend this book as well as the first book.
What an amazing sequel in this series! Remember the legend of Mary. Well, she is on a mission now that she is not in the mirror. Let’s just say that she is pretty dang powerful. Well, when you think of it, is she powerful due to the pent up anger she has been holding or is it that she is really a powerful witch. Her journey does not let up know that she is on a mission to rid the families that trapped her in a mirror. Do we get answers to the questions that come up? Some are answered and some we must wait for still. Now let us talk about the men who rescued her. Hunter, Alistair, Grim, and Ellis want to help her with her mission but still has some reservations about her. Ellis is hot/cold towards her. Alistair is intrigued, Hunter is falling for her and Grim is right behind. She is not sure what she feels for them but she knows there is something there. So what will happen when she accomplishes her mission? Well, I can say that the next book is going to be interesting. So if you want smexy times, intrigue, mystery, and fighting, then you need to read this series.

Will admit to not realizing that this was Book 2 in this series, took me a few pages to catch on and catch up.
I do enjoy reading about badazzz females that take no prisoners and make no excuses for their behavior that said Mae/Bloody Mary was so intently focused on her need for revenge that she didn’t seem to notice the rest of the world falling apart around her. I did understand after what was done to her and to others by these mages why she would want them totally eradicated. There is a fine line between stupid obsession and justification and for me she stepped over it.
This is supposed to be a reverse harem and it is by far the most awkward reverse harem I’ve ever read. Not sure if the author was afraid of having Mae come across to promiscuous as she pursued all of the men but this gave a new meaning to slow burn. It seems in book 1 she got together with Hunter and it wasn’t until almost the end of this book that she got together with Grim/Azrael. At this rate is it going to be a guy a book then we will get book five when they are all together at the same time? For me honestly I didn’t feel much chemistry it all felt a bit mechanical and not that there was a bunch of horizontal time I just kind of glossed over it. Ellis and Alastair your turn is coming not sure who’s going to be the next lucky guy.
This seemed like a bunch of events happening in their own little bubbles that just didn’t fit together seamlessly for me, it was a bit too discordant. Chances are if you are reading this type of story you may have heard of Sam and Dean Winchester of Supernatural the TV show fame, which is what all of the random phone calls and sightings made me think of.
There are some really deep moments as you empathize with the pain all of these characters have endured and a few tongue in cheek moments to lighten the darkness a bit. With things so loose it was hard for me to give it a 4 star rating like I would like to it’s closer to a 3.5 in places and 2 in others, I left it as a 3 star rating because it has so much potential.

Bloody Mary ie Mae and the guys are back and this time things are weirder then before. Something is going wrong and you just know the warlocks have to be behind it. It was entertaining to read and see what craziness Mae would end up in this time around and how her guys would both help and cause a problem. I like the mix of old world and the paranormal and myths all rolled into a good story that kept me reading to the end.
The sequel was much better than the first! Mary is finally unleashed from the Mirror World and all hell seems to be breaking loose in the Human World. This book has more action, characters development, blood, and monsters from legends.
I loved that Mae was finally able to interact with the other guys and not just Hunter. Ellis is wary and standoffish of her even though she proves herself over and over again that she’s not evil. I enjoyed getting to read about Ellis in his other form and world. I was hoping to see Adele and the vampires again, but hopefully they’ll be in book three.
The monsters were well described and the action scenes with them and the warlocks were just what I was hoping from Mae- vengeful and ruthless. The world building and magic system were very vivid and I enjoy the creativity that Helen and Lacey have used for this series. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Mae and her guys and how they handle the impending apocalypse!

I immediately fell right back in love with Mae and her men. I could not put this book down the entire time and had to recharge my Kindle at least once. I was on the edge of my seat throughout and cannot wait for the next book to see what happens next. You can feel the tension throughout the entire book.
