Two years ago, Paige Wilson watched helplessly as her brother Ryan was shot, right on her doorstep. He survived the attack, but never fully recovered from the trauma. Stuck in a wheelchair, Ryan refuses to accept the life of a paraplegic. His idea of fun is coming up with new ways to torment Paige, who has sacrificed her own happiness to care for him. He feels she’s responsible for what happened … responsible for what happened to him that night, and he’s determined to make her life a living hell.
Pushed to her limits, Paige wants to turn her back on her brother’s abuse, but when she finally takes steps toward getting her life back, tragedy strikes.
One day she’s walking toward her freedom, and the next, she’s on the run. A terrible crime has been committed and she might be in danger.
She finds safety and a new life in the small town of Faypine, Maine. But someone knows her hiding place, and they are determined to use her secrets to tear her world apart. They will stop at nothing to get rid of her.
This is a dark and disturbing page-turner that you won’t be able to put down.

full of surprises.
This book is a page turner. It will keep you guessing. I highly recommend.
I have read 27% of the book. The book focuses on the twisted relationship between a brother and sister. The brother is confined to a wheelchair and blames his sister even though this condition came through his own fault. He becomes mentally ill and tortures his sister who only wants to help and support him. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this book as it is too twisted. I recommend the author use his/her considerable skill to write a novel that is more pleasant to read. I will not read more of this novel.
This was the first time reading any books by this author and I was not disappointed. If you love a great psychological thriller then you will love this book. I thought I had the ending all figured out and then bam! I got blind-sided. It was great. I love it when an author twists the ending and it isn’t what you expected. You gotta read this book!

Review for book 1
I loved this book.
What a story I was hooked from the start and could not put it down until I turned the last page.
Paige Wilson Looks after her brother after a decision she made which she thought was the right one went wrong.
Her brother Ryan ends up in a wheelchair and she is looking after him, she does everything for him she has no life of her own because her brother lays the guilt on her and she believes it is all her fault and that she has to help him. I really like Paige I really felt for her. Then just when I thought things were looking up for her, BAM!!! an OMG moment happens and it blows what I thought out of the window.
Ryan well I am not 100% sure about I wasn’t sure how to take him one minute he was dark and brooding and scary towards Paige then he was all nice. I understand why he is mad at things but to blame his sister is wrong.
So much happens in this book! I have so many questions.
I am not going to go into details of the book as I do not want to give away spoilers but this book will play with your head a little I am thinking all sorts right now and I will be waiting patiently for book 2 for the answers.
This book is very well written and I do love the authors writing.
Review book 2
This duet is perfect, I loved the first book and I loved this one, if I could give this series more I would.
I have enjoyed Caitlin’s story though not easy to read in some parts you just want to hug her.. I don’t want to give anything away, You will have to read Book 1 to fully understand what is going on in book 2 it must be read!!!!! This book will keep guessing until near the end. I really didn’t work it out at all. So was a really nice surprise when it is finally revealed. Cause I didn’t see that coming at all. I thought it was totally someone else.
I couldn’t put this book down till I got to the last page. just loved everything about it.
I love L.G Davis writing and I can’t wait to read more of her books.. If this Duet is anything to go by they will be amazing.
