He is arrogant, low class and rude – and I want him more than any man I have ever met.
The only problem is, I want more than just his body, I want his blood.
And I can’t have that.
I need to work with him as a professional, ignore his intense eyes, his bulging muscles, the smell of his delicious blood – resist it all.
I just have to remind myself over and over, ‘don’t bite the builder, don’t … myself over and over, ‘don’t bite the builder, don’t bite the builder’ and I need to stop waiting, long-dead-heart in mouth, for his footsteps on the porch.

Charlotte Bourdan hears a loud motorbike approaching her home in the early evening and sees a huge man in a black leather jacket, jeans, and a white t-shirt walk toward her door. She tells him this house was purchased by the Dark Knights Urban Renewal Company three months ago for redevelopment. He says he knows and puts his huge boot in her doorway. Serena had warned him to ignore Charlotte’s attitude and focus on the job. The big guy is the new builder. She took a deep breath and smelled his blood, dreaming of draining every last drop of his deliciousness. Just as she starts to lean forward, she jumps back and slams the door while he angrily bangs on it to be allowed in to scope out the job. He threatens that if he has to leave, he won’t come back. And she knows Serena would kill her over this! But she doesn’t think she can control herself around this man. Practically immediately, her phone rang and Serena left a voice mail in an angry tone: “This is the only builder left who you haven’t tormented, tortured or fired, and you WILL work with him.” How will she work with someone who looks and smells like a walking happy meal?
Serena picked her up and had a long talk. She explained that Nick is an Irresistible, and Charlotte will be compelled to pursue him, so what she needs to do is get to know him as a person, don’t just see him as lunch, work with him, utilize his skills to help their business make money and make it a success – and then let him go. She made it sound so simple. The first step is to go to the bar where Nick is hanging out, and apologize. Groan…

This is the 2nd book I read by Helen Allan. I loved this book’s storyline. This story made me laugh . I loved the action in this story. I loved Charlotte’s character. I loved Nick’s character. I loved the ending. Awesome job Ms. Allan.
I had a great time with the idea of female vampires. It was a nice twist on the normal male vampire leads. I liked her feistiness and her internal thoughts. I felt the lead male was a great character who had great presence as the storyline Unfolded. I enjoyed reading this story.
