I am so into this series! Psychics, real and fake, ghosts, murder, just so much to get into! I can’t wait for the next book to come out! I hope it’s very, very soon!

So I read the first book in this series, Donn’s Hill, on KU, and I loved it. Well written, really good plot, mostly likable characters. I was so excited to read Donn’s Shadow that I finished it in one night! It sucks you in from the very first. My only complaint would be that one of the main characters had a somewhat unrealistic change in personality, but it was easy to overlook because the storytelling was that good. I can’t wait for the next book!

This is book 2 in The Soul Searchers Mysteries series. I’m absolutely loving this series. This book has a well written story with well developed characters that I enjoyed. Another hard book to put down. I definitely recommend reading.

Mac is getting into the swing of things with her job with the squad and her relationship with Graham is growing stronger. That doesn’t keep her from being smack dab in the middle of another mess. Still a little lost when it comes to the psychic world she now finds herself deep in, she finds herself under spiritual attack and on the hook for murder. This author truly writes a compelling story. The characters are fun and quirky and yeah in Mac’s case naive, but that’s what makes it fun. She really hasn’t a clue and is learning things by doing them and we all know how dangerous that can be. Once again she finds herself not knowing who she can trust, uncovering lies and betrayal and a murderer. Great read, that I couldn’t put down.
Another great book. Book 2, just like book 1, I finished within 24 hours. The author builds on locations in the first book and expands Mac’s abilities as she learns more about her mother’s past. Book 2 takes place a little while after book 1 and I feel there could be a short story book 1.5 if the author wanted to go that way. Striker continues to be a great character and continues to be more than just another cat. The story ends but there will be a book three and the ending leads in to book three. Not a cliffhanger, more of a tease. An entertaining humorous paranormal mystery.
Mac and Striker are awesome characters and in this second book, they have to find a murderer before Mac pays for the crime. A great cast of characters, a wonderful town, and a fabulous mystery series.
