Worn down, stripped bare, and exposed for all to see – our secrets are out in the open. With no ammunition left, only one option remains: declare a ceasefire and strike a deal.If only we had a common ground.
“Done Deal” is book five and the finale in Max Henry’s ‘Arcadia High Anarchist’ series. It is recommended that this series be read in order.
This whole series has been filled with teen angst, drama, betrayal, scandal, secrets, lies, and serious character growth. Max Henry has done an excellent job with this conclusion of misbehaving teens, as they find themselves.
The war between The Chosen (Riverbourne) and Mavericks (Arcadia) continues to grow, while Tuck and Lacey try to stop it. Lacey and Tuck’s bond deepens while they commit themselves to each other. Colt and Greer try to understand and come to terms for what is going on between them. If you have been having questions, they will all get answered and truths will be revealed.
Thank you Max for giving us this world and giving us the best finale possible. This series will be something that I will be rereading in the future.

I was left wanting more from the conclusion of the Arcadia High Anarchists. It was an enjoyable read with a few truths I wasn’t expecting, however it was a bit lack lustre. These kids were shaped into a carefully laid plan by their parents, expectations were high and bloodlines were something to be respected. One’s happiness was irrelevant, stick to the plan, be as ruthless and uncaring as those who were supposed to love us unconditionally. Although the characters are teenagers who’ve lost their way, they come to realise they share similarities even though they come from opposite ends of the spectrum. Confronting your fears is huge, having those who matter around you makes all the difference.

The day has finally come, the day that all parties have been waiting for, or praying doesn’t happen. No one knows how this night is going to go, some hope that the issue will be squashed and never to be mentioned again, while others want some to pay for what has happened. So many outcomes are possible. Will Colt and Greer be together at the end? Or will they go separate ways? Tuck and Lacey… is there even a remote chance that they end this together?
So much was going on, so many characters that I actually blanked on who Richard was. TBH I feel that this is what happens when a story gets extended, I felt let down, this was supposed to be a huge thing and in the end… it fell flat for me. I feel like we got more HFN than HEA. I give this 3.5 stars.

A fabulous end to a great series and what a way to finish, I highly recommend this series! Back with all our favourite country and city kids… Max has a wonderful way of tieing up all the loose ends, or is it the end? I’m hoping this is not the last we see of these complex but loveable characters, there were a couple of questions left hanging, which hopefully leaves the door open for more! Go out and one click if you haven’t.. A highly enjoyable, easy reading series you won’t want to put down!

I received a free copy of this book.
This is not a standalone! This was a good book and ties up the stories for the most part (even though I really want to see where certain people ended up!). The story was not fast-paced, even a bit slow since there is less conniving and violence going on. There are a couple of hot times with some couples finally consummating relationships completely and admitting true feelings. And I definitely like that some parents finally stepped in and parented a bit. There are definitely some surprises thrown in for good measure. Overall a good read.

Done Deal for a whole series Well Done!
Max Henry has finished off this series in spectacular style, giving these troublesome adolescents a valid and mature ending, from what has been a tumultuous ride of teen angst, scandal and misbehaviour of epic proportions.
All I can say is, I’m glad my teen years are over and I don’t have kids of my own!
This apparent finale to the Arcadia High Anarchists series (because, in all honesty I don’t trust this author not to surprise me with more!) is full of the drama we’ve come to expect from these unruly young adults, but gives them a conclusion that reveals to themselves and each other their true motivations behind all the torment they’ve gone through, and sees them learn who they are as they are about to enter adulthood.
Throughout, Tuck and Lacey continue to deepen their connection and commitment to one another as they try to prevent all out war between “The Chosen” of Riverbourne and Arcadia’s “Mavericks” and Colt and Greer come to terms with just what they mean to each other and whether or not the events unfolding will tear them apart too.
Secrets and Lies abound. A delicious bombshell gets dropped. And our villains get their comeuppance.
All in all, our questions we’ve had get answered and truths revealed.
These scandalous kids have left me exhausted! I think I’m done with YA drama now!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and this book is no exception. Every time a new book was released I thought, ‘Oh, how can they solve this quandary?’ And things were resolved were other things became more twisted or new issues popped up keeping the storyline hopping. This book intrigued me in exactly that manner and for the record, the book is amazing. You are kept on a string just long enough until pieces start to slot in place. I loved how little bits and pieces were tied up but also how new things were revealed as well.
We see different sides to many of the characters and it was good to get to know more of the Arcadia parents too. The chemistry between Tuck and Lacey is smoking hot as it is between Colt and Greer. A healthy balance though was given, even though it could easily have had more scenes with intimacy between characters, the story luckily didn’t fall into that rabbit hole.
Although this is the last book in the series the author has said there are spin off books planned which is evident by the little twists and turns this story took, yes, I loved it! Bring it on!

Another good book in a fantastic series that I thoroughly reccomend. As this was the last book in the series, I’m surprised at the way it ended leaving some questions unanswered, especially when they appeared so late in the book.
Hopefully the author will do books for other characters in the future, so they’ll get answered then. Most of the main issues from previous books got answered got answered tho so that’s a plus. It’s just as a reader I don’t like loose ends, that’s just me personally though…
Still didn’t stop it being a good book and I guess it leaves the series open to more in the future even though it was supposed to be the end…

The Conclusion in this amazing must-read series
I’ve said from the start that this whole plot has more U-turns, twists and half-truths than a political party debate at election time, and well, with election time coming up soon for us here in NZ where the story is set, current party antics definitely reflect the goings on in this series. It is fast-paced, intricate and scary to think that these are the minds of 17-18 year olds who are brought up to take over the hold that their parents have on the power structure in their towns.
Those at the top of the food chain use people as pawns on their climb to the top of the power ladder, and these kids have been learning those lessons since kindergarten.
Also, I’m loving the whole multiple point of views that Max Henry has going on, and she is totally making it work for me!!! The characters are showing their true colours and motivations, yet amongst it all, Lacey and Tuck are proving to be amazingly strong young adults who show a lot of integrity. I just love these two.
Seriously, if there is one thing that I want to convince you of, it’s that I unreservedly recommend not only this book, but the entire series, because a series it is, and it must be read in order. I hear you say, ‘but I don’t read Young Adult’ and I reply to you, well neither do I, but Max Henry is an author who can pull a book together and have you gagging for more, regardless of the trope!!! 4.5 Stars.
