I built myself up from nothing. A product of the foster care system, I learned early on how to fight hard to get what I want. Whether it was starting my first company in college, earning my first billion, or buying my first professional sports team, I know how to get what I want, when I want it.Until now.Willow Monahan is fierce, independent, and hot as hell. She also takes great pleasure in … pleasure in shutting down my advances. The younger sister of one of my star players, Willow intrigues me to my very core. And while she may have willingly given me her body, she is hesitant to offer up more. Now I’m on a mission to find out why.
I’ve decided to approach my desire for Willow like I’ve approached much of my life; with persistence, determination, and a whole lot of that Dominik Carlson alpha charm. Buying a hockey expansion team, building the Arizona Vengeance from the ground up, and bringing home a championship may prove to be an easier feat than winning Willow’s heart.
But I’ve never been a quitter.
Willow Monahan… I’m coming for you.

I have been looking forward to Dominik’s story since we were introduced to him. He’s everything I expected and more. I love how Sawyer Bennett tells a beautiful, heartfelt, exciting, entertaining, and of course steamy story. We are taken on an amazingly sweet but seductively sultry journey with Willow and Dominik. This was more than a Hockey story it was about two people finding something they didn’t know they wanted but learned they found something they deserved. I enjoyed every single second of this book. Cannot wait for what comes next.
Dominik is the sixth title in the Arizona Vengeance series, and this time we get the story of team owner Dominik and the sister of one of his players Willow.
Willow is a photojournalist who is very confident, intelligent, and independent. She’s not afraid to go after her goals when it comes to her career, but this feisty, sassy and strong heroine can be a bit wishy washy when it comes to her feelings where Dominik is concerned.
Dominik is a self made billionaire. He’s a charismatic and enigmatic alpha, generous and loyal and caring. He’s determined and driven, and not afraid to go after what he wants.
The chemistry between this pair is undeniable and their connection is hot and steamy. There is quite a bit of push and pull between this pair as they struggle to find a common ground on their feeling, and although this title is well written and engaging, I struggled to connect with the characters, particularly Willow.
Although not my favourite of this series, I look forward to seeing future releases by Sawyer Bennett.
Audio Review
I love this series and I have been anxiously waiting for Dominik’s story. Yes he is a billionaire, yes he owns the Arizona Vengeance and yes he seems to have a heart of gold where his players are concerned as we have seen in his kind and generous ways with them but we didn’t really know Dominik’s story until now. No spoilers here…
I loved listening to this book. It is so well written with such depth of the characters and weaving back in of all the other characters we have grown to love. I loved how we got the rest of the story with the powerful and rich Dominik Carlson and how he can truly love. I also loved how the person that has captured his heart is none other than Dex Monahan’s sister, Willow so there is that dynamic of the boss wanting the players sister. We also get a peek into another series of this author, Jameson Force Security. She ties these two series together which I always love. It brings the characters to life to get to carry on with them in other books. It’s funny how this is a book about a hockey team and yes there are definitely references to the game and around the all important playoffs but it is so much more. It about friends and family and what is truly important in life.
Christian Fox and Erin Mallon do a great job narrating this book. They are Dominik and Willow and they bring the emotion needed to make a great book even better through narration. I loved listening to them from beginning to end.
I loved this book. It is so worth the credit and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
This is now my favorite Arizona vengeance book by far. They are all wonderful but this one I couldn’t not put down and now that I am done I don’t want it to end. Sawyer Bennett has become one of my go to authors. I have been waiting for this story of Willow and Dominik and was not disappointed. There are many turns in this story and I love getting to see all the other characters from other stories and stories to come. I can’t wait for the next one but I now need to go reread this one Incase I missed something.
I was waiting and waiting for Dominik’s story. He always seems so on top of things and in control. In here we see a little different side of him. He seems more soft and less in control. Willow is strong and stays strong throughout. She doesn’t seem affected like Dominik is with certain things.
One of my fav things about these stories other than the romance. The hockey play that we get to hear play by play, the shots, the fights and the passing. I also loved seeing all the guys and their women. It’s great catching up and seeing how they all are together.
Overall I think my expectations were too high for this book. I almost feel a bit let down. While the story is good the characters didn’t seem to hold true to form. I was just unable to love this story like I expected. I enjoyed listening to this story. Christian Fox and Erin Mallon do a wonderful job narrating.
Review revamped to include audio review:
I will unabashedly say I love the “hockey romance” genre above all others in the sports genre. And this lady, Sawyer Bennett is the reason. I found my first “hockey romance” book, Zack, the 3rd book in Ms. Bennett’s Cold Fury hockey series thru NetGalley, and I have been totally hooked on “hockey romance” and Sawyer Bennett ever since.
Ms. Bennett has a new, well newer hockey series out, the Arizona Vengeance. Dominik, the 6th book in the series, is Ms. Bennett latest release. And, let me say this: BRAVO!!!
When I read the blurb for this book several months ago, I could not wait for it to hit my Kindle, and iPhone, and when it did, I could not put it down. Since the release of Dominik on Audibles, I have listened to it twice, I could not get enough. Christian Fox and Erin Mallon REALLY bring this book to life. I could actually see in my mind, everything that was going on in the book.
Ms. Bennett went a different route with this book, this time we have the story about the owner, Dominik Carlson, and not one of the players. Aaaand, let me say this about Dominik Carlson, if he were not already taken by the fabulous Willow Monahan, I would definitely call dibs. He, Dominik just has that something that every girl dream of drive, loyalty, he is not afraid to show his feelings and persistence. And believe me when he sets his eyes on Willow, he will need persistence. You see, Willow is a tiny bit, no, HUGELY gun shy about being in a relationship. She tried it once and really got burned. I absolutely loved watching the cat and mouse chase between these two, and the cat and mouse chase, well it went both ways. I absolutely LOVED this whole book, but my favorite part was at the end when Dominik…. Yeah, no, sorry ladies, I cannot give anything away. I will say this, you will NEVER believe the lengths Dominik will go to, to get the love of his life back.
I was gifted with a copy of this spectacular book for my thoughts and opinion on this book. I will say this, in my opinion, you can not go wrong purchasing and listening to this wonderful book.
Thank you for reading my review. Have a great time listening…
Dominik
Arizona Vengeance, Book 6
By: Sawyer Bennett
Narrated by: Christian Fox, Erin Mallon
Talk about keeping me riveted, there is just something about this particular book and chemistry between characters that had me hooked from the very beginning. Dominik is the owner of the Arizona Vengeance hockey team, and he is not only rich, but extremely arrogant. He always gets what he wants and what he want’s is Willow Monohan. Willow is a strong, independent woman, attracted to Dominik but not looking to be involved. But does this stop him? First off, the characters are amazing. Dominik is that mixture of pure arrogance and vulnerability. I absolutely loved his complexity. Willow is so smart and self-sufficient that she gives off that air of not needing anyone. But you can just feel the chemistry. The banter is funny, their passion high and their relationship rocky! But does that stop Dominik? And why is Willow so skittish? Will he win her over? Add in the family of players that we have gotten to know from Dax to Tacker and we have advice and camaraderie just filling us up with all the feels. It’s a great listen, I think my favorite of the series.
As always, Sawyer Bennett has her pulse on the best narrators for her characters. Casting Christian Fox and Erin Mallon could not have been better. Fox just falls into the part of Dominik, with all the emotions this man has. He lets us feel the arrogance, and turns and gives us the mushy heart! Love it! Mallon too, finds that center of Willow. The scared of love girl, the career minded adrenaline junkie and lets us in with her fabulous narration. It’s a dream team!

Fans of this series will understand when I say…FINALLY!! Author Sawyer Bennett has been teasing us with Dominik and Willow’s story for several books now but she has finally delivered and it was well worth the build up and wait. This series is set in the hockey world but it is truly the charismatic characters and their personal lives that make the stories so incredible. If you’re new to the series don’t worry. You will be able to enjoy this book as a standalone. Be warned though, you will get hooked! The writing is superior, storylines crisp and fresh, and I can’t gush enough over these amazing characters. Put this book along with all the others on the must read list. I highly recommend it.
Finally getting the owner’s story! After hearing in the previous books the push and pull between Dominik and Willow, I was so excited we were finally getting their story! Dominik was definitely a different type of sports team owner, and the reason for that was his past and it’s why he lives his life a certain way. Willow on the other hand has become somewhat of a free spirit and follows her photojournalism and thrill-seeking dreams through her work. While Dominik is ready to give up his player ways, Willow isn’t on board just yet because of a past relationship, but he’s determined to get her to change her mind. Throughout the story we continue to see how explosive their chemistry is, but also want to shake them because sometimes they were so blind to the other’s feeling or intentions. Nonetheless, I loved how this story ended and how these two were able to get their HEA, and the suspense through Willow’s job added yet another level to the storyline that I really enjoyed. Per usual, I continue to love Sawyer’s style of writing, and with this story in particular I loved that she was able to intertwine one of her other series with it through Willow’s job. While I was glad to get this story, I’m definitely ready to get back to the players and see who’s falling in love next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Book 6 in the Arizona Vengeance series from Sawyer Bennett is here! DOMINIK is a standalone hockey romance about Dominik Carlson, the alpha billionaire team owner of the Arizona Vengeance, and Willow Monahan, the strong-willed sister of one of his star players. Dominik is looking to win more than just a championship—he’s looking to win Willow’s heart. PLUS, the audio is narrated by the amazing Christian Fox and Erin Mallon! Love them.
Dominik Carlson is an Billionaire Entrepreneur who owns businesses and sports teams, one of them being the Arizona Vengeance. He has built his success from nothing but pure drive and determination. His billionaire status does not go to his head, yet if he sets his sights on something or someone he wants, he does not stop until he gets it. What Dominik currently wants is Dax Monahan’s sister, Willow. Willow is fiercely independent & is a journalist that covers stories in rather dangerous places. She has a wild side, but it’s because she was burned badly in a prior relationship, so she’s sworn off anything but a quick, “hookup.” Dominik finds Willow fascinating and wants to get to know her better, but Willow keeps dodging Dominik at every turn.
This is the beginning of Dominik & Willow’s story. It’s amazing, wonderful & just a fabulous read .
Dominik is a dream come true! He’s so swoon-worthy! He is the total package and his back story just makes you want to hug him!!! It is most definitely one of my favorite Arizona Vengeance stories!!
Dominik Carlson, owner of the Arizona Vengeance and many other businesses/teams, is a powerful businessman. As a child, Dominik bounced around various houses while in the foster system, never feeling valued or good enough. Those feelings of inadequacy made him work harder to make something of himself in hopes of someday giving back to children stuck in the same situation he grew up in. Although he spends countless hours to ensure the Vengeance is on the path to win the Cup, he also devotes many hours working with foster kiddos, trying to instill hope that their dreams can come true if they work hard. He’s strong-willed, successful, dedicated, and ALL alpha male! While there’s never a shortage of women hoping to be “the one”, Dominik can’t seem to forget Willow. The one woman who wants nothing to do with him.
Willow Monahan, sister to Dax, travels the world as a photojournalist. She’s beautiful, smart, sassy, independent, and a runner…She runs from her feelings, when she’s challenged, and when she’s told “no”. After having her heart broken, she’s vowed to NEVER hand her heart over to a man again. She’ll “commit” to a fling, but that’s about it. After an amazing night with Dominik, she gets scared and runs. She later returns home to support Dax and the Vengeance’s run for the Cup. The closer she gets to Dominik, the more her fears start to kick in. This time, she accepts a job in an unstable country, placing herself in grave danger…
This novel….I honestly think Sawyer Bennett gets better with each novel! In my opinion, this is by far the best novel in the series-ranks right up there with Tacker! Dominik is a businessman, but a friend to all that meet him. He genuinely cares for all his players and has a hand in all their HEAs. Dominik is the perfect blend of Alpha male with a compassionate side. Willow, initially, is a challenge to Dominik. But she becomes so much more! I LOVED that she was strong and not whiny. It was equally nice to see her vulnerable side, the one that Dominik nurtured. The story itself was very realistic and a suspenseful page turner! I couldn’t put it down!!! Hats off to the crossover scene from the Code Name novels. Excellent!!! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Holy Cow. I’ve been anticipating this book for a long time and it absolutely did not disappoint! Dominik was deliciously Alpha and I loved the way he relentlessly pursued Willow.
Sawyer Bennett does it again with another 5 star read in this addition to the Arizona Vengeance series. Love these characters and their story. Looking for your next Book boyfriend….no need to look any further!
This is the best book of this series by far, it was a great way to see how a Gm of a hockey team works, reading how he fell in love with one of his players sister was even better! I read this book in one sitting, there was something about Dominik that always intrigued me and Miss Bennett delivered a beautiful story for sure!
The Arizona Vengeance series has entertained me from the very first installment to this crackling new release courtesy of its combustible main couple and a supportive and immensely likable cast of secondary characters. Throughout the five previous releases readers have gotten a tantalizing glimpse of Dominik, the rich team owner with a heart of gold, and it’s this tale that has him taking center stage as his heart gets led on a merry chase by the sister of one of his star players. By the turn of the final page readers will be exhausted but satisfied by all the ups and downs that came before and ready for more players to hit the ice in the future.
Dominik Carlson was orphaned at a young age but it made him the successful man he is today, a diligent man who doesn’t take no for an answer. His persistence has made him a rich man as owner of the Vengeance hockey team and it will further come in handy as he’s forced into chasing after Willow in an attempt to prove his love and commitment to her. Dominik is a drool-worthy hero who would do anything for his players, subtly helping them find their HEAs with each new installment. He exudes strength, but behind that facade is a man with a heart of gold and I found that side equally as sexy. The moment he met Willow he was intrigued by her and in each book their romance has taken yet another small step forward. Throughout this story though she lets fear hold her back and theirs ends up being a romance full of push/pull moments that frustrated me a time or two. Despite that, Dominik continues to show his sweet and sexy side which has me dreaming of him still.
Dax’s sister, Willow Monahan, made a lasting impression on me in Ms. Bennett’s Tacker as she constantly turned Dominik down in their battle of the sexes. He may not be used to being challenged but she loves pushing his buttons. She’s a confident and strong-willed heroine who loves the thrill of her job and the ability to travel at a moment’s notice. She’s not the kind of heroine to be tied down, but she certainly enjoys her short-term fling with Dominik. Though he wants forever, she’s been burned one too many times, and as the story progressed, her stubbornness became frustrating at times in a sizzling romance that I rooted for every step of the way. The more Dominik felt challenged the harder he fought to prove himself to her and the more I fell for him.
Fans of sports-fueled romances will find themselves quickly captivated by the Arizona Vengeance courtesy of the larger-than-life players and the action both on and off the ice. i enjoyed seeing past players and getting an update on their HEAs and this glimpse had a familial feel to it that had me gobbling up the pages. This installment gives readers an entertaining couple and a combustible connection that put readers on a rollercoaster ride teeming with sensuality. Add in a bit of suspense during the playoffs and readers will be further immersed in this hockey world and counting down the days until the next player steps on the ice.
We’ve met Dominik and Willow before so I couldn’t wait for their own book.
Dominik is the owner of the Arizona Vengeance and another sports team but even though he’s the dominant alpha male he has a soft spot for his players particularly when it comes to family and love. (I was surprised when I read his upbringing. Even more reasons to love him).
Willow is the sister to Dax, a star player on the Arizona Vengeance. Willow is a photojournalist and very independent. She travels the world for her jobs even putting herself in dangerous situations (while the family doesn’t realize it).
Dominik wants her to succeed and be a partner to him but sometimes reacts before thinking which sends Willow running and doing exactly what Dominik’s afraid of.
These two have such great chemistry. You can’t help but root for the two of them to get past their past. It takes Willow running into an extremely dangerous situation for her to finally realize that she needs to stop running. Such a wonderful read!
Gawwww Dominik is surprisingly sweet & dirty…he brings new meaning to ALPHA.
Willow is fiercely independent which is something that Dominik has a very hard time with. Willow needs to be in control of her life, but in the bedroom that’s another story. Dominik holds all the control, what he can’t control is Willow, and that is nothing something he has been used to in the past…letting that control go will be the true test of this relationship. Will it go the distance or will Willow sacrifice love for freedom? It was also nice getting to catch up with Vengeance crew 🙂

I have to say this is probably my absolute favorite Sawyer book! I have read several of her books and this one is amazing. It is the kind of book that is the right length without fillers or repeated lines. It’s sweet with the right amount of sexy. And it’s the kind you can read in one sitting and then dream about later on. Dominik is the man all women dream about and hope to find.
Dominik didn’t grow up in a loving family with the white picket fence. No, he grew up in foster care. Not having a family of his own he knows what he wants and doesn’t stop until he has it. He is a multibillionaire and now is the owner of two professional hockey teams. His players are his family. He treats them with love and respect. He is a great business man and in a way he isn’t. When his players have personal problems he does the right thing by them although it may not be the best decision for his team. Dominik is compassionate, caring, loving, and protective of everyone in his life.
Willow has been hurt in her life. Her ex fiance has made a big impact on her. If you can’t trust the one that you are supposed to be married to till death do you part than who can you trust. Since Willow has been burned by her ex she doesn’t do relationships. She doesn’t even have that great of a relationship with her family. She is a photojournalist that has taken dangerous jobs in the past with no thought of her family. Then she meets Dominik and things change. Dominik has to convince Willow to give them a chance. Dominik: An Arizona Vengeance Novel is a wonderful read. I highly recommend it.
Dominik was completely worth the wait. I am so happy that Bennett wrote this story. Dominik’s story deserved to be told. For fans of this series, you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to see where this goes next.
