I built myself up from nothing. A product of the foster care system, I learned early on how to fight hard to get what I want. Whether it was starting my first company in college, earning my first billion, or buying my first professional sports team, I know how to get what I want, when I want it.Until now.Willow Monahan is fierce, independent, and hot as hell. She also takes great pleasure in … pleasure in shutting down my advances. The younger sister of one of my star players, Willow intrigues me to my very core. And while she may have willingly given me her body, she is hesitant to offer up more. Now I’m on a mission to find out why.
I’ve decided to approach my desire for Willow like I’ve approached much of my life; with persistence, determination, and a whole lot of that Dominik Carlson alpha charm. Buying a hockey expansion team, building the Arizona Vengeance from the ground up, and bringing home a championship may prove to be an easier feat than winning Willow’s heart.
But I’ve never been a quitter.
Willow Monahan… I’m coming for you.

I don’t even watch hockey but I’m a sucker for a hockey story. I really like Bennett’s
Vengeance series and all the players’ stories. Nice touch with
Kate Mizera’s news story.
My first novel by this author and I was told to go and read it. I was very surprised at the plot and attention to detail in all of the characters that show up in every book of the series, though they can be read alone. Dominik is a team owner who cares and interacts with his players….and their sisters. You see where this is going. But Willow wants to keep things as they are, no need for fancy dinners and she definitely doesn’t need his money when she has her own job, one he disapproves of. A*ult scenes are spread throughout the book and never frivolous. It is always to move the couple’s story forward. definitely a 5 out of 5 for heat rating and star rating.
Love this book. I have been waiting for Dominic’s book through this series.
What a series! I didn’t read in order and didn’t feel it took anything away. Really good as a stand alone.
Love this series.
A fast paced, hockey themed beach read. Be sure you have some free time; once you start reading, you won’t want to stop.
Willow needs a good counselor. Nothing about them seems like a great couple.
Hockey, hot romance and suspense
You don’t have to like hockey to enjoy the Sawyer Bennett Arizona Vengeance novels. The men and their partners all have stories that are completely unique. In DOMINIK, the owner of the Vengeance pursues (without much luck) the sister of one of the players. Willow is a fiesta, independent photojournalist that often finds herself in dangerous places.
So this is a romance where the boundaries set by both are “no relationships” and they would just enjoy each other’s company while the team navigated through the playoffs. We learn why both are wary of commitment.
It was a nonstop read for me. The opening encounter with Dominik and a woman was one of my favorite parts. Both Dominik and Willow will surprise you in a number of ways so be prepared to get attached.

STORY:
I was dying for Dominik’s story. I just think he is so sexy. Not because of his wealth, but his whole bravado and his attitude towards people and situations. We first get to see a bit of his and Willow’s story play out in Dax’s, this is Willow’s brother. Willow’s approach at trying not to fall hard for Dominik was frivolous but still very entertaining. Dominik’s non stop pursuit of Willow was very much a turn on as the word no is not in his vocabulary when he wants what he wants.
CHEMISTRY:
Their physical chemistry was lovable, and I like the way Willow lets Dominik takes charge in the bedroom, while out of the bedroom she can be stubborn and wanna be dominant.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS
Per usual, love seeing the team and past and new players. They do make each book more appealing to read.
Overall, love Dominik’s and Willow’s story and it did not disappoint.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.
I love all of Sawyer Bennett books ,they are so entertaining and unpredictable you just want to no what happens at the end
I loved this story! This has all the elements that I enjoy. Two interesting main characters and many entertaining secondary characters, along with a story that keep me turning the pages. Dominik is a rich, handsome, thoughtful alpha male and Willow is a strong, independent photojournalist. When Dominik and Willow meet, sparks fly and they are never the same. This is simply wonderful.
OMG!! the last three or 4 chapters had me on the edge of my seat! I love how strong willed Willows character is and just fell in love with her. The voice actor for Dominik was a total turn on and just seemed to fit the character to a flippin T. This one is my #1 in the series….so far…lol.
Owning professional hockey and basketball teams, as well as many other business endeavors has put Dominik Carlson on top of the world. Sometimes that means you get an arrogant jerk, but that’s not the case here. Dominik is very personal and generous with his players as well as with other members of the community. Life is going smoothly for him until he meets a girl he just can’t help but chase. Willow Monahan just happens to be the sister of Dax Monahan, one of Dominik’s star hockey players. Dominik even tries to get Dax to help him out which just creates intense yet funny interactions. Willow’s been hurt badly in the past and she has sworn off relationships.
This book is all about the chase and fighting for what you believe in. I’ll admit I find Dominik to be completely swoon worthy. He has it going on and I was rooting for him to get what he wants 100%.
Of course the rest of the characters from the previous books in the series are involved in this one as well. I can’t get enough of these people. They’re real right? When can I meet them? Fingers crossed for even more books in this series then what’s already out.
**4.5 Stars**
Kindle and Audio Review
I love ALL of Sawyer Bennett’s hockey hotties and Dominik is no exception. He has gone above and beyond as the owner of the Arizona Vengeance to show that he genuinely cares about his players and not just because they make him money. He wants them to be happy and cares about them as people.
Dominik has expressed an interest in Willow, which drives her brother, Dax, who plays for the Vengeance absolutely crazy. He doesn’t want Dominik anywhere near her. Though they did have a night or two of passion, Willow has no desire to continue to see Dominik any more, until he decides to really lay on the charm…and even though he wasn’t looking for anything serious, one thing leads to another and both people end up for more than maybe they were really bargaining for.
The chemistry between Dominik and Willow was seriously HOT!!! I absolutely loved Dominik’s alpha, take charge personality but that he was also genuine and caring and real. I think he and Willow were perfect for each other and I love how Dominik was with the players on the Vengeance.
I think Christian Fox and Erin Mallon did a fantastic job with this book. They are both so easy to listen to and make any book really enjoyable to listen to. They are both on my list of top narrators. I would definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to read more from this author and listen to more from these narrators.
If I had to say one thing about this book it is that it has the best “action speaks louder than words” as a way of declaring undying love.
Dominik and Willow have a “sex is fun” relationship. Neither want more than fun between the sheets. Neither have the time or desire to have more than a little fun.
He is a self made billionaire and owner of the Arizona Vengeance. She is a photojournalist that is always game for an adventure and the sister of Dax, player for the Arizona Vengeance. We all know the heart wants what the heart wants. Denial won’t stop it. Running won’t stop. But the chase and the acceptance makes for a great love story.
Best Book of the series so far! I thought it would be hard to top Tacker, but Dominik did! I couldnt put the book down!! I would highly recommend this book to anyone!!!
Given an arc for an honest opinion
OMG did you not love Dominik. He was just everything. Such a truly handsome and lovable guy.
Wow what a story.
He was just everything you’d like and want in a guy.
Another brilliant read.
Determined and dominant Dominik
Another amazing story that was long awaited but absolutely worth the wait
Willow is Dax’s sister and a photojournalist. When she meets Dominik at a rookie dinner, things end in an explosive manner
However, Willow as well as Dominik are commitment shy due to their pasts and have to work to overcome these issues. But Dominik is determined to make Willow see things his way, even taking charge in the bedroom if she’ll give him a chance
I really loved this story, it gave me goosebumps and I also loved how it crossed over with the Jameson Security guys – which was unexpectedCan’t wait for more in this series
“He’s absolutely everything I would seek in a man if I wanted a relationship. Confidence oozes from his pores, and he knows exactly what he wants. Hell, he knows exactly what I want… and he gave it to me in spades.”~ Willow
I loved this fiery couple so much! Dominik is the powerful, determined & oh so sexy owner of the Arizona Vengeance. He’s devotion to his hockey team & the lengths he’ll go for them was incredible. And when he turns his focus on winning the fiercely independent Willow, the pages ignite! Their steamy love affair, the teams race for the playoffs and some dangerous decisions had me sneaking off to get in just one more chapter. I couldn’t put it down! It had everything I crave reading- passion, friendship, loyalty, jeopardy, family, angst & humor. Dominik exceeded all my expectations and has become my favorite in the Vengeance series- he’ll be a tough act to follow!
It absolutely pains me to say that I didn’t love Dominik as much as I hoped I would. I’ve definitely been waiting for this book ever since Dominik and Willow were teased, they definitely had a great set-up and I was ready for it.
A couple of my hang-ups about these two was the lack of connection, emotionally, and just how infuriating I found Willow to be. Their physical connection was something they had and there was no doubt that they’re attraction ran deep, but I constantly questioned if it was anything more than that.
But I think the one thing that bothered me the most was that Willow would make rash career decisions to spite everyone. I found her to be a bit immature on that front and it just wasn’t what I was hoping for.
It totally bums me out that I didn’t love this more, but it happens. I’m still excited for the next book in the series!
