I built myself up from nothing. A product of the foster care system, I learned early on how to fight hard to get what I want. Whether it was starting my first company in college, earning my first billion, or buying my first professional sports team, I know how to get what I want, when I want it.Until now.Willow Monahan is fierce, independent, and hot as hell. She also takes great pleasure in … pleasure in shutting down my advances. The younger sister of one of my star players, Willow intrigues me to my very core. And while she may have willingly given me her body, she is hesitant to offer up more. Now I’m on a mission to find out why.
I’ve decided to approach my desire for Willow like I’ve approached much of my life; with persistence, determination, and a whole lot of that Dominik Carlson alpha charm. Buying a hockey expansion team, building the Arizona Vengeance from the ground up, and bringing home a championship may prove to be an easier feat than winning Willow’s heart.
But I’ve never been a quitter.
Willow Monahan… I’m coming for you.

Dominik has it all. He’s a multibillionaire and owns two professional sports teams as well as a plethora of other business ventures. He hasn’t always been this well off, and he’s worked hard for everything he has. He knows what he wants and he gets it, no matter what, until he meets Willow Monahan. Willow is the sister of one of Dominik’s hockey players, and there is something about her that interests him.
Willow is as independent as they come. She has a job she loves and gets to travel all over the world. There is no denying her attraction to Dominik Carlson, however she isn’t ready to put her heart out there. A hook-up is all they can be. However their hook-up soon becomes more than as they two spend time together while the Arizona Vengeance are working towards the Stanley Cup Finals. Dominik and Willow like each other, but can Willow move past her unwillingness to commit?
Holy. Smokes. This book was everything I wanted and more. Dominik is a hot alpha male, and Willow is a fierce and independent woman. They complement each other so well, and their chemistry almost felt palpable while reading. I couldn’t put it down, I read this in one sitting. I also love that we got a little crossover in this book with a few other series of Sawyer’s. I also really love that we get to revisit characters from previous books, but we also get a little more setup for future books! Absolutely loved this book, heck this entire series!
5 star Review Dominik (Arizona Vengeance #6) by Sawyer Bennett
From the first to the last chapter I was riveted to the story that Sawyer Bennett wove and couldn’t put it down. I have been waiting for Dominik’s story since he was first introduced as the owner of the Arizona Vengeance team and I knew that the woman who he would eventually fall for would have to be a strong, independent woman, not afraid to stand her ground and that is certainly, Willow Monahan.
The chemistry between Willow and Dominik is off the charts and I loved the banter and humour that flowed between them as well; they each gave as good as the other and their fiery relationship was captivating to watch unfold.
These two suited one another so much and there is so much more to Dominik than just the alpha, always in control owner of the team and it was fascinating to watch as they each fought for control in the relationship.
Each time I read a new book in this series, I have a new favourite, they just keep getting better and better. This was an entertaining read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Holy cow! That ending was shocking and nail biting! I could not have ever anticipated things going the way they did.
I love how Dominik is all alpha male on Willow, and how she’s so strong but lets him lead. She can be pretty stubborn though. I wouldn’t really say that their courtship was too bumpy until near the end. It mostly focused on their progression, while updating us on the team, which includes lots of hockey action. I definitely cried and was on the edge of my seat, though. Still kind of in shock by everything.
I love a good hockey themed book. I am usually a big fan of the women in these stories. While Willow grows on me bit by bit, it’s Dominik who makes this story for me. I don’t relate to Willow at all. I won’t say why I am not a Willow fan as I don’t want to spoil anything for you. The book is full of angst. Yes, it’s part of a series, so you really should read the other books, but I think a newcomer would be ok. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
WOW!! Dominik and Willow were simply amazing! The push and between the couple was taxing, exhilarating and sometimes confusing!! They never meant to fall for one another but will they get their happily ever after? Or will the one question Dominik asks Willow end their relationship completely?
