Lexi has done it again. I couldn’t stop reading this book. So this book OMG, where to start.. There are these twins named Case and Theo.. Theo got shot a couple of books back. Case and the rest of Mckay Taggart team had tried their best to hold Erin together Theo was shot and they thought he had died.. One this sassy little blonde that catch Case eye. Case had thought he didn’t deserve someone like her.. She came from money, but what he didn’t know about her was that she had a challenging childhood and she really didn’t grow up with money.Even though Case grow up in a trailer park.. Mia Danvers lost her parents when she was young.. She grow up in foster care until she got apdoted by 2 moms. But once her oldest brother was able to make it big, he made sure that he got his 2 brothers and sister back with him. Mia fell for Case the moment she saw him. One day Mia got catch in a lie that she had told everybody at McKay Taggart. Seeing how nobody at Mckay Taggart wanted to talk to her or even trusted Mia, she did the only thing that she thought she could do to help Case find his brother…
Love this book and the entire series. Lexi Blake is an auto buy for me.
I listened to this book. All 14.5 hrs. This was not one of my favorites out of the series.
Case was a Taggert. He seemed to have not of the bravado, arrogance, or self awareness of the other Taggert brothers. Maybe he was written like that to emphasize that his twin Theo helped to make him complete. I don’t know.
I wanted to fast forward through a lot of this book. I was tired of Case and Mia’s back and forth about trust. Actuslly, I liked Mia more than Case. She came across as stronger.
I really wanted to get through the book so I could find out what happened to Theo. The narration was on point as usual, and that help to make it easier. If I had been reading the paperback or an ebook, I know I would have been skimming pages.
On to Submission is Not Enough, so I can get Erin and Theo’s story.
Love this author Really enjoyed the book, bought several more in the series.
I can honestly say that Case is my least favorite Taggart. He was kind of a douche for the majority of the story. Once he decided to be a good little Tag, then he became better. Mia was strong and feisty and a little crazy at times.
Thankfully there was good progression in an ongoing storyline.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder…at least it does in Case and Mia’s relationship. Twice they’ve let their heads rule their hearts for months on end. That’s not to say the time apart was wasted. It gave them both perspective and underneath it all their love is what brought them back together both times even if one of them didn’t recognize it as love. The all consuming search for Theo is what drives them back together. The Taggarts are all in this one together. Case may be a dumbass but he’s Mia’s dumbass. It doesn’t get any better than that!
The action in this book is fast paced and explosive! The bad guys are ruthless and treachery seems to be the norm. If one Taggart on your six is a good thing having the whole MT team is extraordinary. There ars new players which hopefullybwill lead to many more M&M romances and new series spinoffs.
