Stephanie’s stuck. She promised to write a sizzling hot erotic romance that delves deep into the lives of Dominant men and their submissive lovers. And she’s stuck. In admitting her conundrum to her aloof editor Cameron she gets an offer she never expected: observe his kinky private life of BDSM parties and training submissives. As she begins to understand what draws women into a life of kinky … life of kinky submission she finds uncomfortable parallels with her own life. She has to admit to not just finding BDSM appealing, but also that what’s been missing from all her relationships was a desire to submit to her lovers.
Alexandra Noir is proud to present her newest BDSM erotic romance. She hopes you enjoy reading it as much as she enjoyed writing it.

I love stories about authors who are “researching” for a book. This one really delivers. Stephanie has writers block and decides to go find out about BDSM to help her break that block. But in researching her story, she finds out more about herself. Cameron, her editor, is just the man to show her the ropes(pun intended). He really starts out slow, letting her led the scenes, and how much she wants to do. But Stephanie discovers, she wants Cameron to lead. that is when everything heats up and this book became irresistible. I cannot wait to dive into the next installment of this series.
Ruby Rivers is amazing at narrating this story. Her various tones kept the characters distinct and easy to follow. Ms. Rivers has a great male voice. It is smooth and does not feel forced. Ms. Rivers brought these characters to life. I got lost in her narration and actually forgot I was listening. It felt as if I was living the story along with the characters.
Stephanie is a ghost writer who is in a stagnant relationship with a dull boyfriend. She gets an assignment to write a novel with BDSM elements she fails and her editor tells her the writing shows she has no experience. She enters into an agreement with him to get experience and slowly finds her true self. It was a good story.

She has been given a mission to write a saucy book about doms and subs. She know very little about it so she explains to her editor and he offers to let her watch him at the club. Will she be drawn in? Will she want to try? See if she will

“Dominance and Submission – Write Away, Sir” by Alexandra Noir is a tale of one Stephanie …a writer who requires more information concerning her current subject BDsM of which she knows next to nothing. But fortunately her boss ..Cameron…knows plenty and offers to “enlighten “ her…with himself as a test case. Interesting plot and much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. A VERY naughty read.

This book has a plot that will not be to everybody
taste as it has some BDSM scenes to it.
I found it to be an absolutely entertaining read great plot
and steamy chemistry between the characters.

In order to write BDSM, our heroine needs to get a better understanding of what that means…
This is a short erotica collection, pulling together all parts of the series into one handy volume. The writing is good and easy to follow with interesting characters and a simple predictable plot. My one complaint, perhaps, is that it presents another “Intro to BDSM” story. Every book I read these days goes over the background which, even if I was a complete newbie, I already read in the last dozen books. Time to move on to the advanced class, please.
Nevertheless, it makes for an entertaining evening read.
Recommended.

Terrifically HOT
Cameron, boss and editor and Stephanie a ghost writer are terrifically HOT!! when Stephanie’s current assignment requires an understanding of the BDSM world, Cameron is happy to give her a few pointers, which only makes Stephanie much more attracted to Cameron than she already was.

~For research purposes, of course~
—>>> Stepping out from the sidelines as a ghostwriter for her next assigned BDSM-themed story, Stephanie willingly delves into hands-on research while observing the lifestyle by her editor’s side as his pretend submissive. Soon, though, a more in-depth immersion becomes practical in order to better convey true emotion and connection between a Dom and his sub in her story. But is this just more for her curiosity, or is Stephanie viewing her boss Cameron in a whole new different light?
A woman who is brave enough to explore the possibilities out there, especially when they are now within reach.
This book is about a woman’s self-discovery. To be able to write her book she decided she needed to watch some BDSM up close, from there her urge changed to trying it. This is a well written book about a woman’s personal journey and how she finds out what she needs in her own life. The characters are well written and well rounded. The plot is interesting and very easy to follow. I was drawn in to the book from the very first page. It’s not an overly long book so only takes 2-3 hours to read, but it is well worth those few hours!

Ever had the feeling you were not living the life you were supposed to live. Is there something missing from your relationships. That is what this story is about, a story of self discovery and finding something great about yourself. She is in a humdrum relationship struggling with a work assignment. She finds a mentor that takes them both farther than they initially intended. Great book, a must read for those who like this type of story.

I’m sure Stephanie never would have expected her boss to be the person who guides her in learning about the BDSM lifestyle; which he is oh so familiar with. As she learns about the lifestyle, she realizes what has been missing in her life. Will something develop between Stephanie and Cameron? Something more than boss and subordinate? Oh wait, that’s “similar” to Dom and Submissive… LOL! As per her usual, Ms. Noir takes us on a BDSM journey that keeps you turning the pages!
This book was spectacular! Start to finish I was thirsty and the words were cool water. An inexorable pace which both pushed me along and pulled me deep into and through the story.

This was a well written book with the characters being well developed and engaging. What starts of as a working relationship with an author and her editor that ends up being so much more by the end. The scenes are well developed with enough heat too set your pages on fire.

Short steamy story
I see by reading the other reviews I’m in the minority’s but this was just an ok read for me. I just couldn’t get into the characters. I found the beginning slow, and maybe it’s because of what’s been going on in the romance world, but the idea of the main character, a ghost writer just popping out another quick book felt wrong.

Ghostwriter Stephanie accepts an invite from her boss to observe him, a Dom, at a private BDSM party as research for a book she writing. What she didn’t expect was to find herself feeling like this is what was missing in her own relationships as she explores her own submissiveness. Another steamy good D/s read from Alexandra Noir!!

I’m not sure how this book received a 5 star rating.
I find it totally lacking emotion. Well, except for irritation. It brought out that emotion just fine.
The story is monotone at best. Sometimes it’s almost Dr. Seuss like. “Hello.” … “Hello.” … “Do you like my hat?” … “No, I do not like that hat.” Okay, so we’re not talking about hats here. It was just in the way it was written that conjured up memories of Dr. Seuss. There is a repeat of phrases and a use of language that just doesn’t fit with the characters. Also, the terminology she uses for some of the BDSM equipment and play is just …? I’m sure she was trying to be a bit creative with her word choice. But at times when she should use some creativity she doesn’t and times when she should use correct terminology she choose to be creative. Like I said needs work and editing.
I really do not recommend this book.
On a positive note, I love the cover art!
I am voluntarily writing this review for the copy of the book I received from Booksprout. First off, this is the first work of Alenxandria Noir I’ve read, so I had no preconceived ideas of what to expect. Secondly, this is a short read with a sexy story about a ghostwriter in a hum drum relationship winding up with writer’s block on a book about BDSM. It was a great way to spend time and just escape into the discoveries she makes.
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

If you looking for a quick and hot story then check this one out caught in a dead end relationship our ghostwriter has a job that she needs to finish and her boyfriend is so not helping. The next thing you know her boss suggested that she goes with him to a retreat, but she would have to be his submissive. It just research right? I will admit I enjoyed the story it is not a classic but it was fun to read. I really do not like the title and I have not seen the cover since this is an arc, but that might be the hook the author needs to sell the book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
