My Hostage. Her Secret. Our Enemy.
Taking the commissioner’s daughter wasn’t part of the plan. It should have been an easy smash and grab. Instead I captured Lara, so scared and helpless… girl is an inferno, threatening to consume everything I hold dear.
She has a dark past, and an even darker purpose…
I’ll have to pry her secrets out of her. Before they destroy us both.
“Dom” is a dark mafia romance with a gothic twist, Book 4 in the Underworld series. It’s a stand-alone novel, full of mystery, danger, and blazing hot bedroom scenes. For mature readers only!!!
The Lark Notes:
Ivan’s little brother Dom is forced into an intense love with Lara. Look for the bonus epilogue with cameos from Ivan, Sloane, Sasha, and Snow. – Sophiemore
This is a new to me author and I truly enjoyed this series and the characters were wonderful. I look forward to many more books to read from this author.

I enjoyed this book, which was well written, engaging with a great intriguing storyline and fantastic characters. Lots to keep you interested and engaged, including secrets, suspense and action with a lovely love story. Love how protective Dom is off Lara.
It can easily be read as a standalone, you don’t need to have read all the colours of crime series, however would probably help if you had read Sloane and Ivans book.

Ash is the eighth book in the Colors of Crime series. Every once and a while I come across a book that does not turn out to be what I thought it would be. This is what happened when I read Ash. I wanted to read the story in the blurb. While the plot was accurate it did not really fulfill it completely. Dom is too sweet for me. I know it is a personal preference, but I don’t like to know the Hero’s feelings. I prefer there to be some angst not knowing how he feels about the heroine. If you want to read a dark mafia romance with a nice Hero, then this book is perfect for you.
This is a action-packed story filled with lots of emotions and intriguing characters that held me captive from the start and I just had to read it in one sitting. Will check out the other books in this series. Highly recommend.

This is the final book in the Bratva series. Such an incredible book. There’s s a complex storyline, yet with fascinating characters. Dom meets a woman named Lara, in this book. She’s like him, in a way. They’re very alike. To know how they work out, you’d have to read this book, but also all the other books in this series!
A complicated storyline with fascinating characters.

I enjoyed this book with it’s complicated storyline and fascinating characters. Lara was the daughter of a sadistic Bratva leader. Her father had not only murdered her mother and brother, but he had also tortured and terrorized Lara for most of her life. Dominik was brother to the leader of the Petrov Bratva. The two of them became lovers and eventually marry. However. their story is much more complicated than that. Lara had escaped her father with the help of a Russian Police Officer called Pavel, he had provided a secure hiding place for Lara as his daughter. Pavel had transferred to St Petersberg, intent cracking down on bribes and violence within the police ranks. He was a thorn in the side of the Petrov Bratva, but this did not prevent Lara and Dominik from being together, it just made the story more interesting. This story also follows on from a previous book in the series featuring Ivan, Dominik’s brother, and Sloan. I have read all the previous books in this series and enjoyed them all as much as I enjoyed this book.

Dominik Petrov may be the ruthless second in command in his family, Petrov Bratva, but he’s also a romantic, kind person. During a heist to recover the family’s stolen (actually impounded) dope, he kinda also kidnaps the police chief’s daughter, Lara. AND zing goes his heart! Lara is actually in hiding from her evil, murdering father, Avo Kazarian, the head of Moscow’s Kazarian Bratva. To save her life she is being hidden in St. Petersburg by the police chief.
Sophie Lark takes you to the hard brutal dark side of life in the mob as she also shines a light on their friendship, loyalty, and love. I loved the entire series and am sure I will re-read again.

Dominik and Lara light up the pages of this amazing Mafia romance. Dominik is Ivan’s friend and fellow member of the Bratva. Lara has a secret and if anyone finds out she could be in danger. Dominik and Lara cross paths and Dominik cannot get the thought of having her out of his head. The dynamic between Dominik and Lara makes for a really great read.
I have to say I wish this series could go on, but I believe this is the last book in this series. Loved all the characters. These books, including this one, can be read by themselves. But I have to say I have enjoyed reading every book in the series.

Ash by Sophie Lark was a Pleasant Get Away!
I enjoyed the budding relationship between, Dom (Dominik Petrov), the H, and Lara, the h.
This was a such sweet conclusion to the series, although I hate to see it end.
The characters were likable, and you can’t go wrong when there is an Epilogue with a HEA that fills you with a sense of completeness.

This is book 8 in the Colour of Crimes series by Sophia Lark and also the final – my heart eternally breaks! Each can be read standalone but have some overlapping characters. This is Dominic and Laras story. A new commissioner from Moscow is residing over St Petersburg, but hes not alone, hes brought his daughter Lara along to protect her whilst he aims to take down all the Bratva. when the commissioner seizes the latest drug import from Dom its the last straw and demands retaliation. Not only does he get his drugs back but also take Lara even if only for a while but its enough for Dom to know he wants more. he wants more to life and he wants it with Lara. but is Lara really who she seems? Well written with a great story line filled with action, romance and delivered with warmth and humor Sophie Lark knows best!

Wow! What an intense read. I was totally hooked from beginning to end. You have love, sex and drama in one great story. Lara and Dom’s relationship is HOT. Great characters, steamy scenes and mafia drama are what make this book so captivating.
I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Crazy Bratva families. Violent, disturbed, and willing to die for each other. I can’t help but like them.

Ash by Sophie Lark
We are with Dominic Petrov, Ivan’s little brother, remember him? Dom deserved his own tale and so another wonderful Bratva story is born.
Dom meets Lara. Both have secrets they have not shared. Both have pasts that better kept hidden. Both are attracted to each other despite the dangers. Ms. Lark weaves a tale of intrigue and love.
Ms. Lark’s writing gets better with each book. Her expressive use of the English language paints a picture for the reader. “He’s more slippery than an eel, always finding his way in and out of trouble.” And “…like a grain of sand on the beach, howling at the ocean, while I’m tumbled end over end with every wave.” These are just two examples of the beautiful, descriptive language that provides a visual image to the reader.
Read this book!!! Delve into the world of the Bratva. Learn how Dom and Lara come together despite the odds. See what the future holds for this couple. You won’t be disappointed!
The Colors of Crime series is for mature audiences.
This amazing series goes out with a bang. Dom and Lara’s story was perfect. There were secrets, truths, trust and plenty of danger but what I loved the most was that Dom was as gentle and sweet as he was dangerous and possessive. Dom and Lara shared quite a bit of humor together which really lightened the book up at times. They really were perfect for one another. And being that I’m a painter I really loved that Lara was an artist as well. I connected with her as a character easily.
The closer it got to the end the more it felt like the story had a happy ever after multiple times with curve balls thrown in between. Like “Ha, gotcha! You just thought it was almost over but there’s still more.” Which I loved by the way. I’m sad I finished it so quickly.

It’s a WINNER!!!
Sophie Lark’s final novel in the Bratva series is arguably one of her best. It is the story of Lara Erdeli, who moved to St. Petersburg, Russia with her father, the newly appointed police commissioner assigned to clean up the Bratva organizations operating in the area; and Dom, the brother of Ivan Petrov, head of one of the most powerful Bratva families targeted by Commissioner Erdeli. Ivan was introduced to us in Ms. Lark’s book, Emerald. Lara must be protected and harbors a secret which prevents her from leaving her apartment and attending social functions or even walking in her neighborhood. She is a gifted artist and longs to escape the confines of the tiny unit where she and her father live. She often looks out at her surroundings from a large window or climbs onto the balcony with her sketch book to help pass the time while she waits for her father to return at night, but it is not enough. She longs for contact with others and needs to experience the beautiful gardens and sights she sees from her window. Dom is his brother’s right hand man, and next in line when Ivan is away on business. They live in an old monastery with several male cousins of the Petrov family, along with Ivan’s girlfriend, Sloane. Their home is a fortress with elaborate and state of the art security equipment to keep themselves safe from invasion or attack.
One night Commissioner Erdeli must attend a ball and leaves Lara at the police station with a skeleton crew for her protection. It is not safe for Lara to accompany him to the ball, but no explanation is given as to why. During the course of the evening, Dom and two of his cousins break into the station disguised as policemen and a man they are pretending to arrest. Following a short scuffle, Dom and his men gain control of the skeleton crew, and discover Lara is the Commissioner’s daughter. They kidnap her, blindfold and restrain her, and eventually deposit her on the steps of the ball for her father to find. Dom is so captivated by Lara during this encounter that he begins to follow her. It is at this point that Lara is allowed to make short trips outside of her apartment by her father and eats lunch in a cafe with her sketchpad in hand. By chance, Dom sees her and cannot help but follow her as she begins to wander around St. Petersburg to the gardens and sights she sees from her window. At an art museum where Lara has entered, a thief steals her purse and Dom manages to grab it from him and send the boy on his way. He uses this opportunity to introduce himself to Lara, hoping she does not recognize him from her kidnapping. She does not and from here begins a wonderful, touching and forbidden romance between Lara and Dom. I will not give away more of the plot because there are twists and turns that Ms. Lark has peppered throughout the novel that give it intrigue and mystery bringing her work to a new level of excellence. Ms. Lark fills the story with hot, sexy scenes that leave the reader turning page after page to learn the outcome. Her research on all things Bratva, Russian, and artistic is impeccable as usual, fleshing out the compelling attraction and intrigue that grows between Lara and Dom. Once again Ms. Lark’s final novel in this series does not disappoint! This will be one I will read over and over again for the sweetness of the romance, the love that develops from their adversity, and some of the most erotic scenes I have read. It’s a winner!!

Another great addition to the colors of crime series by Sophie Lark. I couldn’t wait for Don’s story and I was not disappointed. I love forbidden love stories and this was awesome.
Loved this series. Love reading dark mafia romances. You are never sure how they will turn out. good read and romance.

Although the Mafia suspense and drama was still present in this storyline, Dom and Lara’s romance was sweeter and gentler than expected.
It may have been Lara’s innocence in contrast to Sloane from book five where Dom’s older brother Ivan showed his ruthlessness as he was challenged with her dominant persona.
Lara’s sweet but strong personality was consistent throughout the storyline in spite her abused hellish history full of betrayal, control, and emotional pain at the hands of her psychotic father.
Dom came off more as a super concerned, protective and gentle lover who was totally focused on Lara.
A softer storyline that was totally enjoyable.
