Octo-Cat’s nine lives are on the line when he and Angie finally discover why they’re able to speak to each other… Apparently I’ve been slacking on the job as a paralegal, even though the firm doesn’t know that I’m secretly working as the area’s premier Pet Whisperer P.I. to solve our toughest cases behind the scenes. Now they’ve hired an intern to “help” me manage my workload… manage my workload…
But what the partners don’t realize is that they’ve let a nefarious criminal into our offices. Trust me, Octo-Cat can smell this guy’s stink from a mile away. The worst part? I’m pretty sure he can talk to animals too… and he most definitely isn’t using his talents to solve crimes and defend the innocent.
I’ve always wondered how that zap from an old coffeemaker landed me with supernatural abilities. Now it’s time to find out once and for all. Otherwise I fear I may wind up losing them–and my trusty talking feline sidekick–for good.

Angie and her talking kitty, Octo-Cat, are back. I really wish she could talk to other animals but I have found out that in later books, she will be able to. This book is an easy, fast paced and a fun book to read, the whole series is. Octo-Cat is a snob but this series is still very cute. If you like fast paced cozies you’ll love this series.
This is a very good cozy mystery.. I liked it.. It is cute and quirky, fun and unique.
I voluntarily received an advance copy of this book for an honest review.
Really enjoyed this one. Although if you are a hard core P.I. Reader you may not like this one as it has a major twist and turn to the story. It’s still a fabulous story just not what your used to.
This being on into the series with a few books before it you can read it independently without reading in order, but you would get the full effect by reading in order. But if you do t have access to the books in order then don’t give up a great book because of that.
And I can recommend this to my advanced reading preteen friends no sexual references or language
Angie’s curiosity might just kill the cat!
Author Molly Fitz’s pampered Octo-Cat character is a bit more loyal and loving, less snarky in this book in the series. Angie Russo finds something rotten in Denmark (oops, actually in the law firm where she paralegals part-time) and its name is Peter Peters. Her unease about his comments and behavior lead to dangerous investigative moves and her cat volunteers as her sidekick P.I.
Although Octo-Cat’s sass has been turned down a bit compared to earlier stories in the series, he still provides for some choice moments, like Angie’s shopping expedition to find him the perfect cat tracker. Angie’s Gran also flaunts her eccentricity. The humor and sarcasm is one of my favorite things about the series.
Cute, cozy story with eccentrics and a bit of magic I did not see coming.
I read a complimentary copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Good golly Kiss Molly who let the dogs out. Since Angie only works part time the office hired a new fella to take care of things when she wasn’t there to do it. But there was just something about the fella that Angie didn’t like and no one would listen to her about him. And before you know everything went to the dogs. Loved it, I want an Oct-o-cat of my own.
This book had a lot of magic in it which I don’t usually read so it wasn’t my favorite of the series. However, it was well written and explained a lot of questions readers might have. I just love that little cat.
I have been provided with a copy of Dog-Eared Delinquent by the author for an impartial review. This is the fourth book in the brand-new Pet Whisperer P.I. series and oh my gosh this series has just been outstanding. I just can’t get enough of Angie and Octo-Cat’s shenanigans. They are just hilarious and I just find myself laughing throughout the entire book. It was just so easy to get lost in this story and that is a testament to how great the writing is. I just can’t wait to see what happens next with this series.
Each book is better and better. Angie and Octocat find new twists and turns this time around. You will not want to put it down.
I enjoyed Dog-Eared Delinquent. It is a bit different than the previous books in the series and I was a bit surprised. I did not like it as much as the previous couple of books. It is a lot more paranormal and deals with magic more than the previous books and this didn’t seem to match the usual feel of this series. I do love the characters and enjoyed their interactions together. This book did not have the usual murder mystery either. Overall the book is interesting and fun. The ending did leave me interested to read the next book in the series.
What a ride this series is taking me on! I do not usually read magic or paranormal but I have enjoyed these stories. Angie and Octo-Cat are still sleuthing but we add in the element of Peter Peters. He is working with Angie but he creeps me out! Angie and Octo-Cat get into trouble yet again, there are baffling robberies and buildings appear and disappear. This is a page turner and a great story!
I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
Magic, shape shifting humans and a talking cat this book has it all
When the law firm Angie works for hires Bethany’s cousin to help out, things start to get weird. Neither Angie or Oct-Cat trust Peter but can the figure out what he’s up to before they get in trouble with the law or loose the magical bond between them
Another wonderful book by Author Molly Fitz. I love the characters of Angie, Nan and Octo-Cat. They make these books so enjoyable….
Pretty entertaining & informative addition to the series. The sleuthing level is rising a bit, danger wise which I think makes this less cozy. Author also added a bit more paranormal aspects, which is cool. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
Dog-Eared Delinquent is the latest book in the delightful Pet Whisperer P.I. series. Angie and Octo-cat are back and something is not right with the new assistant at the law firm. Even worse, he seems to know their secret.
This book has all the wonderful features you expect from this series including great characters, laugh out loud moments and a mystery to solve. It also reveals more of Angie’s ability to talk to Octo-cat. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it, and the series.
I enjoyed this book. It is very different to the previous books and is based all around magic and not to everyone cup of tea but I liked learning how Angie got her ability to talk to Octo-cat. There was no mystery to solve but it was still a good read and I read the whole book in one evening. I loved Octo-cats antics and still found him as funny as ever.
The firm has hired a new staff member but something about him is off, if only Angie could put her finger on it or remember. Nan and Octo-cat don’t trust him either so plan to befriend him in order to learn what he is up to. It’s not long before the gig is up and they learn his secret. In stead of telling them what is happening he invites Angie to a strange new clubs that will turn her whole world upside down and change it forever but will it break the bond between her and Octo-cat?
I didn’t care for this book as much as I did the first three. It was nice learning how Angie and Octo-Cat got the ability to talk to each other. I was never satisfied with the idea of her getting zapped and acquiring that ability. The mystery in this one felt a bit forced and there were some inconsistencies. I can’t really go into detail without writing spoilers. I thought it was silly that Angie wanted her memory erased. She hadn’t done anything to be ashamed of and if her memory was erased she wouldn’t be able to testify against the bad guys(which she would have to do in real life.) I plan on reading the next book and hope it is better.
I just finished reading Dog-Eared Delinquent (Pet Whisperer P.I. Book 4)
by Molly Fitz. I must admit this book is different from the others in the series and different from my normal reads in that it was much more magical, even beyond a talking cat! However the story was fun and unpredictable and I really enjoyed the book.
Good book for a young reader.
I really am loving this series as Angie and Octo-Cat get together and solve mysterious happenings, murders and in this case thefts. Angie really wants to know how she ended up with the ability to talk to Octo-Cat and have him speak back to her. Someone should have reminded her about that old saying “be careful for what you wish for”.
She finds out okay–and meets a bunch of animals that can transform into people and they want Angie and Octo-Cat to help them rob a store. How Angie ends up circumventing this at the last minute was ingenious.
She does find out why she now has this ability–but with the help of a bit of magic is able to forget again! One little difference–she can now understand when animals other then Octo-Cat speak. Hum–I wonder how Octo-Cat will like that?
I love this series by Molly Fitz! This particular Book was very different from her others, it explains how Angie comes to hear Octo Cat .
This story has tons of action that had me scared for Octo cat and Angie. The humor had me laughing out loud at Octo Cat and his snarky remarks. There was so much more emotion between Angie and Oct Cat that it made me smile to know Octo does have a good heart and loves Angie. Well done Molly Fitz!
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
