I mostly liked the book, but wish there had been a little less agonizing over a relationship and personal insecurities. Sometimes it felt like filler to make the book longer. Other than that, it was a fun read and I’d read more books in the series.
I liked the characters and reading how they grow and interact with each other as a couple. Plus, the way they went about solving the mystery (and not being all Sherlocky Holmes) was fun!
Quick read. Fun characters. It was engaging enough that I’ll most likely read the next book in the series.
A bedazzling case!
Lucie Rizzo thought she could escape her “mob princess” label but when her job and money ran out she was forced to temporarily move back home. At least she had her dog walking clients and her new line of bejeweled coats and collars for income. When the dognapping’s started Lucie knew she had to solve the crime. She could not stand the possibility of one of her sweet pups being injured and fortunately, her on-again off-again boyfriend, Frankie, was willing to help out.
Somehow, the thought of a mob family didn’t fit my mental image of cozy mysteries but the author wove everything into an enjoyable story with a good mystery plotline. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
A lot of fun.

This is a fun story that shows some of the hardships of being a part of mafia life. The story really keeps you guessing who is the real bad guy. I look forward to reading more in this series.
The main character should have been more engaging about her interaction with the dogs she walked, since they got into trouble all the time. It was a fun book.
I really enjoyed the light adventurous story. It kept me wanting to see what happened next.
I enjoyed this fun, cute story. I was surprised with the twist it had about who was responsible for the trouble. Who would have known! Good story telling!
Fun easy read
If you’ve ever been in Chicago you can imagine these characters in the pub or the neighborhood. Interesting twist, fun to read.
This book was very entertaining. The characters and plot were very well developed and interesting. I never guessed the end and was extremely surprised! Loved it!
Lucie Rizzo and Frankie Falcone are adult children of two different families of “Mob” parents. Lucie has spent her life trying to be a model citizen. She graduated from college and when her job ended unexpectedly, she decided to walk some neighborhood dogs. This led her to try to establish a business where she could make coats for dogs. Men from a dog snatching ring attacked her, her brother, Joey, and boyfriend, Frankie, on different occasions to take the dog coats that might have had real jewels sewn on them. The dogs were returned when this wasn’t the case. The source of the diamonds is revealed and the story ends well, even though several unexpected things happen. This story leads to another in the series. The book was well written and the story is entertaining.
Thought it was a great book.
Character development was great!
Not my generation . Too whimsical
For a cozy mystery this one is above most others. It is fast paced, easy to read and fun.
Really enjoyed this book. Fast reading book.
