Nurse Shelly Westbrook has returned home to Marietta hoping to give her son and niece a Christmas holiday to reboot a disappointing year. Christmas is magic and Marietta is the perfect place for them all to start over. Dr. Peter Davidson has never indulged in the Christmas spirt, but he thinks he’s hallucinating when he reaches the city limits and sees a sleigh driven by a white bearded man in a … bearded man in a red suit. The minor collision is inevitable, as is his slight concussion. His obsession with the beautiful angel of a nurse who stops to render aid is unexpected, but just what the doctor ordered.
Can two people nursing broken hearts find love in a quiet mountain town that has always promised new beginnings?

Great Story
Peter found out that he was a father of 9 year twins and was trying to figure everything out, so he decided to visit his sister & brother in Marietta. Shelley with her son Freddy & niece Tia were driving back from her wedding to her ex when she saw Peter on the side of the road after an accident. This is a cute love story.
I really enjoyed this story. The plot and the characters are wonderful. I really enjoyed reading this as the first two in the series Marietta Medical were great as well.
The only thing that bothered me was the editing. His hands were on her wait? That was easy to figure out that it should have been waist. There were other times that it wasn’t so easy. Spending $3.99 on a book with poor editing is the reason for the deduction of a star.
This book has some bedroom scenes. It didn’t bothered me as it was a procession of the relationship. It may bother others but I didn’t consider it as erotica as there is an actual romance story here not just sex. Also there are some words that may offend others but I have heard and read worse.
If you don’t mind, a book with editing errors and with a great story, then give this a try.
07/16/2021 “Doctor for Christmas” (nook) is a cute love story between Peter and Shelly. They met when, during a fierce snow storm, he crashed into a sleigh and she came upon the scene. There was angst and drama: Shelly with her ex-husband and Peter with Simone, an ex-girlfriend.
At times some of the conversations were stilted. It is probably me but I was not totally happy with Simone’s confession.

Shelly and Peter are recovering from broken hearts. It would be nice if they find love in this quiet mountain town. – Shelly and Peter are caring. Her 17-year-old son and slightly older niece are also caring and great with Peter’s nine-year-old twins. The most interesting thing to me was the contents of the letter written to Peter by the twins’ mother. WE learned those near the book’s end, but I had figured out most of it by then. I enjoyed the interactions between Peter and his children and those between Shelly’s son and niece with Peter’s children. The residents of Marietta are warm and welcoming. This is a sweet holiday story.
It was a good book to read. Glad I got it.
Another great, great book from the Marietta series. Lots of family, love, Graff Hotel, chocolate shop, and Marietta Christmas traditions.
Dr Peter Davidson is in an accident with a sleigh driven by a man in a red suit and has a concussion. Nurse Shelly Westbrook comes across him and helps him Can the magic of Christmas help both of them to fix their lives or not??
Didn’t want to put it down from page one until the last page. Excellent!
easy to read
Peter has suddenly became a dad of 9 year old twins that his ex girlfriend never told him about. He goes to Marietta to spend the holiday with his siblings and get to know his kids. While there he meets Shelly and is instantly attracted to her.
I enjoyed this one. Peter is struggling to be a good dad and deal with why his ex never told him about them. Shelly, who is also a single parent, is trying to get over he cheating ex and enjoy the holiday season. Peter helps her get over her fear of relationship and believe in love at first sight. Together these two learn to be a family and heal each other.
I read a lot of books and this one is one of the worst in terms of editing. Nearly every single page had a mistake. Whether is was spelling, grammar, syntax, extra/missing words, or plot holes. Save your money until this book is pulled and fixed.
Well written. Could use some editing but enjoyable.
I loved the emotion is showed. I felt for the Dad who out of the blue finds out he has two 9 yr old children he didn’t know about and for the Mom raising her son and niece.
One of the best I’ve read in a long time, on so many levels…thoroughly great all the way around!
The book was ok. It was kind of predictable in its telling. It was also easy to read and not very long.
Life but fun
Great story with wonderful characters! Enjoyed Mr. Nicholas’s part in the story.
I always love the books about the people of Marietta. They are romantic but enjoyable without all the explicit sex scenes.
Nice read!
Interesting premise in that father was unaware he had children for 9 years. The main chacter is a compassionate, loving and empathetic man who’s rewarded with the love of his two children and a wonderful woman.
