Suzanne Brockmann’s seamless blend of heroic military action and intense passion inspired “USA Today” to call her “a superstar of romantic suspense”–and for years her award-winning Troubleshooters books have been must-reads for fans of sizzling stories of action and adventure. Now the “New York Times” bestselling author shoots to thrill again with “Do or Die, ” an electrifying new novel that is … is certain to win Brockmann new readers and delight devotees.
Navy SEAL Ian Dunn went rogue in a big way when he turned his talents to a lawless life of jewel heists and con jobs. Or so the world has been led to believe. In reality, the former Special Ops warrior is still fighting for good, leading a small band of freelance covert operatives who take care of high-stakes business in highly unofficial ways. That makes Ian the hands-down choice when the U.S. government must breach a heavily guarded embassy and rescue a pair of children kidnapped by their own father, a sinister foreign national willing to turn his kids into casualties. Shockingly, Ian passes on the mission for reasons he will not–or cannot–reveal.
But saying no is not an option. Especially not for Phoebe Kruger, Ian’s beautiful and unexpectedly brash new attorney. Determined to see the abducted children set free, Phoebe not only gets Ian on board but insists on riding shotgun on his Mission: Impossible-style operation, whether he likes it or not.
Though Phoebe has a valuable knack for getting out of tight spots, there’s no denying the intensely intimate feelings growing between Ian and Phoebe as the team gears up for combat. But these are feelings they both must fight to control as they face an array of cold-blooded adversaries, including a vindictive mob boss who’s got Ian at the top of his hit list and a wealthy psychopath who loves murder as much as he loves money. As they dodge death squads and play lethal games of deception, Ian and Phoebe will do whatever it takes to save the innocent and vanquish the guilty–or die trying.

This as was my introduction to the Trouble shooters series. I LOVE this book.
It’s been a long time since I read a Brockmann book, but I quickly remembered why I like them so much. This book has lots of action, a little bit of romance, and a wide variety of secondary characters.
The story opens with a flashback to one of Ian’s operations that very nearly goes wrong, but his quick thinking saves the day. Included are brief …
This was one of the first books I read by Suzanne Brockmann, and it got me hooked. I loved the witty banter and humorous descriptions. The love story between the main characters was believable and sweet. I LOVED the development of the side characters and sub-stories. I’ve read this book 3 times. Definitely recommend if you love romantic suspense.
Love the troubleshooter series. Wish she would write more.
If Suzanne Brockmann writes it, I’m going to read it. I love 98.5% of what she writes. I just wish she wrote more. I love the Troubleshooters series; military heroes, hot, sexy guys coming to the rescue. In this book, a couple of children being held in a heavily guarded embassy need to be rescued. A beautiful attorney convinces former Navy SEAL, …
Story grabbed me from page one and didn’t let go until the last page. Love Suzanne Brockmann, and loved this book.
Another wonderful story with great characters that you route for and hope to see again in the next story!
My new obsession: Troubleshooter Series, then all other books by Suzanne Brockmann.
Brockmann’s usual style of high drama and fast action with a great and very believable story line.
This book is action packed and riveting, and a good introduction to a new cast of my characters. Plan to read when you have time to enjoy!
Reluctant hero, smart witty heroine, lots of action, lots of romance. As usual Suzanne Brockmann delivers.
Lively adventure with opposites attracted to one another. It was entertaining to see them trying to work together and around each other. I enjoyed Do or Die, as I have most of Brockmann’s books. As usual, too many unnecessary, boring sex scenes to skim past to get back to the story, but I am aware that is typical of Brockmann’s books, and I bypass …
loved it

Maybe a spin-off of the Trouble-Shooter Series but IMO this Series is off to a great start.
You Have a former Navy Seal, who goes above and beyond Alpha-Male when he shows his tender side. It’s High-Pack Action, with lots of sexual chemistry. A great plot and believable characters.
Can be a stand-alone read. I would recommend this book to those …
