This is 1st book I read by Kat Mizera. I loved this book’s storyline. I loved Dimitri’s character. I loved Angel’s character. I loved the ending. Awesome job Ms. Mizera.
While I absolute loved this story it had two flaws. 1- It was way to short. I would have loved to read about when they met, Dmitri’s time in NYC, etc. 2- That epilogue. Seriously?? I still loved it though. These two were adorable and I’m glad they got their HEA even though they had a few bumps in the road with stupid people (seriously Penny?!) I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*
Dmitri and Angel are in a relationship, but nobody knows about it. What happens when fate intervenes? Will these two work everything out? Will everyone accept their relationship? Loved this story. It was entertaining and well written. Highly recommend!!
A great novella to start off the holiday season!
Great read to curl up with!
Dmitri and Angel’s relationship may be new, but they are completely in love. Angel has taught Dmitri to love again and Dmitri has given Angel all the love and support she needs as she embarks on taking control of her life after an extremely difficult few years.
While they were not expecting it, a surprise pregnancy has the young couple feeling both nervous and overjoyed. But when Dmitri’s father refuses to acknowledge his new relationship and even goes as far as to invite his ex to Christmas dinner will the couple be able to go against his family and find their way to a happy ever after together?
I really love Dmitri and Angel together. They are young, but both have experienced so much more in life than others their age. This story is both a battle of wills between two very stubborn Greek men as well as a battle of trust between Dimitri and Angel as they navigate their new relationship and an unexpected pregnancy.
For being shorter in length, Kat packs a lot of story into this novella. Fans of the series will really love this holiday romance. 4 stars.

Drama-filled visit back to the Sidewinders…
This is one of my all-time favourite hockey romance series! Considering how I shy away from wild drama that kind of surprises me because these stories have been all about the crazy highs and lows. I guess it’s the full on, bright, bold characters and the ridiculously entertaining situations they find themselves that keeps me coming back. Craving more….
If you are a follower (if not, you really want to be), then Angel is no stranger. It was wonderful to see her doing so well and was surprised as she at her unexpected situation. Dmitri and Angel together, well, that was not a shock. They slipped into their relationship quietly, both unable to break it off even though they thought they should…
Keeping it so quiet meant their news was shocking to more than just themselves. Their holiday-filled, family-packed journey was novella-sized but full of sweet revelations and ping-pong emotion that made this a fast, fast read.
Grab a blanket and tuck yourself in front of the fire because this is the perfect read to get in the Christmas spirit…

Quick holiday read about Dmitri and Angel. A cute Sidewinders novella and the first book that I have read from this series. I really enjoyed it. Some drama from his family and an ex-girlfriend but they were able to overcome that so they can have the HEA they deserve.
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is one of several novels in a series regarding a hockey team in Arizona. This story is short, sweet and a super quick read. It does end on a slight cliff hanger with a HEA. I have never read the other novels in this series, so when other characters were mentioned I was not sure how they were connected to the main couple. The main characters, Angel and Dmitri, have been keeping their highly sexual relationship a secret from friends and family. Dmitri is a first generation Greek American originally from New York defying cultural tradition. Angel is a 20 something college student whom resides with her younger sister’s adoptive parents, Brock and Ashleigh. Dmitri and Brock of teammates. At the beginning of the Christmas holidays, Dmitri and Angel’s relationship is pushed into everyone’s awareness. I would have liked to see the main conflict with Dmitri’s ex-girlfriend play out for longer. It seemed as the conflict was rising in escalation, it quickly de-escalated. I was also confused by Angel’s holdout to make her relationship with Dmitri public and to be in a monogamous relationship with him. Although the writing was good, the development of the characters made them seem somewhat shallow and immature.
I received a free ARC for an honest review.
What do we learn about Angelica Reardon right off the bat in this book? Who is she? How does she know Ashleigh Hunter-Lassiter again? I feel sad for Angelica and what she is thinking. I Love Dmitri’s mother! It was interesting to get ‘more’ of a look at Angelica and Dmitri’s relationship. I had an, “…. Oh yeah!!!” moment when Penny and then Greg showed up on the scene. This story was sweet and at the same time a tear jerker for me. Definitely worth the read!
