Loved this book! The author NAILS all the angst and fun of teenage romance. The main character Mari is so sassy and absolutely hilarious. She drew me right in with her thoughts and feelings. The romance is darling and I loved the suspense woven throughout the story. I would definitely recommend!
I have read a few books by the author and enjoyed all of them. I loved the friendship and mystery of how Mariana and Dennis finally come together after being best friend for years. It’s a great sweet clean read.
This is such a cute story and very relatable in a lot of ways.
This book is a great book if you’re looking for an easy summer read. I loved the friendship between Mariana and Dennis and the mysterious side of Sam. There were a few times I got lost in the timeline, but overall, great weekend read!
It was a very well written book. My only qualm was the charcters in some ways were teens but they wanted their relationships tp be as intense as a college student.
I really enjoyed it! It’s a fun, easy read with well-developed characters and a plot twist at the end.
I loved the premise of the story: Guy/girl best friends – can they stay friends when one finally crosses the friendship line while the other is already in a relationship? The reality that we can be so blind with someone we barely know and yet not trust a friend we’ve known for years is so very realistic. At times I wanted shake the guy by the shoulders and tell him to wake up. There’s suspense, drama and romance all rolled up into a well written story that I could not put down until I finished it in the wee morning hours.
A friends to romance, as well as a 2nd chance romance all in one. I liked the main characters, Dennis and Mari. I loved Mari’s relationship with her mother and especially the one with her Abuela. There is mystery and suspense in the book. Jenny Rabe did a great job with the pacing of the book; there’s not any places that drag. I’d recommend this to YA readers and sweet romance readers.
I loved loved this book. YA romance is so fun. That first young love brings back so many memories. This is very good for your young readers. It has good life lessons and morals.
I enjoyed the suspense and mystery aspect as well. I like there to be more depth to my stories and I found it here.
I can’t wait to read more from this author. Well written and couldn’t put it down.
I enjoyed this story of young love and all the suspense of does he like me as much as I like him that we each felt as we grew up. This has added mystery going on as well to keep you intrigued.
This was a great book! It was a fun and easy read. It is a romance with a mystery to solve. The characters are so easy to relate to. Family, friends, romance, all things you try to navigate through as a teenager, this book captures it all.
This is a fun story of friends, romance, family, and mystery. Jenny does a great job of capturing the awkwardness of dating as a teenager and the complicated feelings that ensue. She weaves in a fun mystery that slowly unfolds to the end of the book. No good romance would be complete without a happy ending. This ending is perfectly written. I loved the progression, the angst, and the relationships. There is a reality to these characters that makes them relatable.
I really enjoyed this book. I have been reading a lot of heavier books lately and this was a nice light read. It had a good story line and just enough twists to keep me guessing. I look forward to reading it again.
This story had excellent character development. It’s a beautiful love story with a lot of action. It reminded me of my teenage/college years. I would recommend to both teens and adults.
I really enjoyed this story. It’s hard to find good, clean romance stories that even though targeted towards a young adult audience is still fun to read when you belong to the “older crowd”. Very well thought out plot and character development and kept me interested until the end-in fact, I couldn’t put it down and now I want to go snuba diving!
I really enjoyed this book! It totally reminded me of being a teen in love all over again! Once I started the story flowed so naturally that I was done before I noticed. I would absolutely read this again and would be completely comfortable letting my kids read it as well!
