God is alive and well in your books, thank you very much for that aspect. Your characters are so like a close friend that you worry every-time that they’re in a tight spot, and if life gets in the way of your reading, you must return back to them as soon as possible.
A Christian themed adventure you will enjoy a lot. well written and keeps you interested to the end.
A really fun book. No crazy action but just enough to make it exciting. The interaction between 3 races is the best. Kena is one of 2 humans and she and Antony make a truce between the races. The Christian aspect is not a preaching but rather makes you look inside yourself as to what you believe.
Read Diverse Similarity first
There are a few new additions to the crew on the Collaborative’s space ship that comes to bring them supplies; one is a male human navigator, Antony.
Because of her faith in God, the I Am, Kena is just a little better and a little faster than the other navigators, which makes those in charge or of higher rank resentful.
Kena nearly died before she is allowed to return to the Collaborative’s ship. She will have to go back to save a life and stop a civil war and hopefully prevent an interplanetary war.
The crew is trying to get more ore from a planet before making the hop to the alien ship when Kena bucks her commanding officers. She is trying to save Antony from dying. She knows he will die if they don’t operate as a joint unit on the alien planet. Her career will be gone when she gets back to the ship.
While on the planet, a life-threatening event happens, Kena’s matching blood type and a transfusion seem to save Anthony.
Read to find out what else happens on the planet. See if Kena’s inside knowledge can prevent a war and save an alien princess from execution. Can the Collaborative keep their technology out of the hands of the Pitkreelaundun?
I read a free ARC. I wish I could give you more, but I don’t want to spoil your exploration into the compelling tale that unfolds flawlessly. I read these books one after the other. It makes the storyline that much more compelling.
I loved this book!!! I soo looked forward to this book after reading Diverse Similarities, and it did not disappoint!!! I’m so glad that I found Sharon!! These books are like the Christian Star Trek to me!! I get the SciFi I like, and the faith that I love, all in one great book!!! There was a little more romance in this one, which I also like! I can’t wait for the next one!!! I love that we have the same characters as before, with some new ones added in. I don’t want to give spoilers, so I’m having a hard time saying what I loved the most!! I guess that Kena and Antony are now together, and though they had a few difficulties getting there!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
**** SPOILER ALERT ****
Rose continues their excellent, excellent world building and character development in “Diverse Demands: Diverse Book 2”.
The author continues the story of Kena’s adventures as she navigates the quagmire surrounding herself and her ship.
Rose weaves a tale of many kinds of love as they masterfully balance action and exposition while expanding on the message from “Diverse Similarity”.
This entertaining and thought provoking page turner of a book was one that I only reluctantly, for necessities, put down until I finished it. I was hooked from page one.
I am really looking forward to seeing where Rose takes this series in the future volumes.
Q; Will Kena be able to bring the PitKreelaundan and the Interstellar Collaborative to the table to take the first steps to a lasting peace?
Q: Can Tarkeen prevent a civil war between the PitKree and the Laundan?
A: Grab this book and find out. While this book can be read as a standalone, I strongly, STRONGLY, recommend that you acquire and read “Diverse Similarity” first. I think it will make your enjoyment of “Diverse Demands” much richer.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a free review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
This is my own honest opinion.
My thoughts on this novel:
• This is a very religious Christian story set in a sci-fi space world. I enjoyed it very much. Those that enjoy a strong religious themed book will enjoy it too.
• I liked how Rose set up the many different alien life forms and cultures. I could easily visualize them in my brain.
• I enjoyed the intrigue and adventure in this story.
• This novel presents races struggling with misconceptions and hatred amongst themselves. Will they find understanding?
• What rights do we give up to blend in with other cultures and for peace?
• The romance between Kena and Antony was sweet. I liked these two strong characters.
• The minor players in this story added depth to the storyline and were well developed.
• Justice and mercy. Do we allow others another chance to act differently or change? Mercy offers a second chance to change to all.
• This is not a stand-alone novel. I feel you will need to read Diverse Similarities first to fully understand this story.
I was given an advance copy of this book. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I highly recommend this book to those that enjoy inspirational sci-fi.
