Now includes an excerpt from the upcoming Four: A Divergent Collection.
This first book in Veronica Roth’s #1 New York Times bestselling Divergent trilogy is the novel the inspired the major motion picture starring Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and Kate Winslet. This dystopian series set in a futuristic Chicago has captured the hearts of millions of teen and adult readers.
Perfect for fans of … adult readers.
Perfect for fans of the Hunger Games and Maze Runner series, Divergent and its sequels, Insurgent and Allegiant, are the gripping story of a dystopian world transformed by courage, self-sacrifice, and love. Fans of the Divergent movie will find the book packed with just as much emotional depth and exhilarating action as the film, all told in beautiful, rich language.
One choice can transform you. Beatrice Prior’s society is divided into five factions — Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). Beatrice must choose between staying with her Abnegation family and transferring factions. Her choice will shock her community and herself. But the newly christened Tris also has a secret, one she’s determined to keep hidden, because in this world, what makes you different makes you dangerous.

This is literally the best books ever.
Another young adult dystopian novel, and I have to say that at first, I thought that was all there was to it. However, I will admit that I love the characters, and especially the fact that the male love interest doesn’t have a significant creep factor to him, unlike many teen novels I have recently read. The writing is also finely done and keeps …
I have read it three times and I’ve loved it each one.
Well written.
There is something about this book that hooks you in and won’t let go. It’s unique, and very entertaining to read. Somehow I found Tris inspiring, and loved her character from the beginning. The way she was committed to her family, but followed through with what she thought was her path.
I had some misgivings about her friends since they acted the …
Excellent young adult series!
I was drawn into this book from page one. I’m intrigued by the separation of people into factions and how the families view any transfer as betrayal even though they had to go through the same choices. The villains in this book intrigue me as well, because you don’t often think of a “bully” as being intelligent, but these are! I love the main …
I enjoyed reading this book. The total series was a good read with good character building.
First 2 books are great. Third book not so much. A big let down
Don’t let the movies fool you! This is a great book to read! The love story part is a little adolescent feeling but overall still great
Even though the premise reminded me of HUNGER GAMES (elimination and cutthroat violence in order to come out on top), I enjoyed this book. Nice pacing. Tension, excitement, and a good storyline. Good ending, though some things were left unfinished since it’s a series.
Loved it ,amazing 1231
Amazing book, I read the whole series in one week. I loves all of them until the ending. I will work you invest in these characters at your own risk.
This book explores society and the complexity of human personality.
Amazing!!
Good original story
I like dystopian books for some reason. Great read, don’t fall in love with the characters…..just saying.
I think this book really relates to all the different types of places on Earth, it highlights the differences of every single place on earth.
I read the complete series before it was ever made into a movie series. The books differed from the movie’s; especially the last one. I enjoyed the books much better than the movie’s. Couldn’t put the books down and I actually cried at the ending of the last book. The set was amazing and the characters were brought to life so well.
It was a very good read
Another book not in my FAV. categories but I just had to read it to see what all the hype was about. It was WELL DESERVED hype!!!! I really liked the authors inventive world building. It was frighteningly realistic and insightful. I could not put this book down or any of the sequels !!!!
