The books are amazing and the movies are as well. The characters are so impactful and the world, so in depth. I’ve always loved her writing in which, she inspired me to write my scfi-dystopian: Disconnected.
I really enjoyed the first two books. The ending to the series was disappointing, to say the least.
It was an easy read, and I wish the ending were different. It kind of tarnished the entire series for me.
I really enjoyed the writing, description, the authors imagination. But I found the story very unsatisfying as a series. There was plenty of angst and loss and still we were striped of more…. it reminded me of the teacher who will never give an A, or John Steinbeck trying to write a warm fuzzy… without spoiling the plot, of the last book – I declare- REALLY?
I think Veronica Roth is a brilliant mind for sculpting this beautiful series. With this series the characters each tells us something we could all use. Tris – courage to face your enemies, selflessness, and fearlessness. Four/Tobias – to face your fears with the people who you hold closest. Christina – forgive others, even when you hate them, be there when they need it the most. Tori – help everyone,if you know them or not. Caleb – be smart and have faith in family, Blood before faction. We could all use this in our everyday world. If we don’t be careful we could end up dead or locked in a horrible war etc. Listen. Sometimes characters in books mean more than you think. Their words could have a seller meaning than you can comprehend when reading it. You could make a book of quotes from the books that you think mean the most and/or help you through similar hard times
I really enjoyed the first two books and then fours book by its self. But book three made me want throw the book out the window of a moving car then back up and run over it!!!! Terrible terrible ending for the series!!!!
Love these books! If you’ve only seen the movies, just know they didn’t follow the books very well. And the books are way better!
I absolutley Loved this series!
i never read the book but i have seen the movie. its basically just action and romantic
I fell in love with books because of this series and I owe all of the journeys I’ve been on to Veronica Roth
It is an amazing series! I highly recommend.
THE BEST BOOKS EVER, for real
The entire Divergent series was truly incredible! There were amazing characters created and the plot was very unpredictable and entertaining. The only problem I harbor with it was that the last book in the trilogy, Allegiant, had a terribly sad ending which I felt did not push the plot forward very much. Other than that, it was a very good read!
